To the "TalkBears" family, all my best during this Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Holidays. Hopefully this finds you all where you want to be in life and spending it with those who mean the most to you. Like in real families there are squabbles and disagreements. So is true here at the Talk Bears forum. I find myself, as I age, that my patience grows thin and I tend to spout off as if suddenly striken by Tourettes. There has been an essay by Tarik Cohen published. It had to be one of the most difficult stories I have ever read. The personal tragedies that Tarik has experienced are so extreme it's amazing he was able to survive. To resist the temptation to commit suicide. A link to the full essay is below. I like everybody on here but have issues with one. Everybody sees that , I dont really care what he thinks. It's just the first preseason game... We were vanilla... Had our two top offensive weapons out... Tommie didn't play... Saw a lot of things I liked... Gotta tackle better... The secondary is a concern... Jay's a gunslinger... I could've written this same postgame script after the first preseason game of all the Lovie Smith seasons. They always look like shit this early in camp. And he'll say "Of course" about 17 times in 10 minutes.

You know JA made the QB comment. Now, he is clarifying with support of Orton. That leads me to the mind game. Since we already know the Queens are going hell bent for a QB this off-season. Is JA setting up a bidding war so the Queens will run out and overspend for a QB? Kinda like a bluff in poker... Even though the Queens get their guy, they also get a strained cap for other needs. Hell, I'd do it. I still see us going after backup, but a stud seems outta line due to our support players not being up to snuff.

Now has 48 receptions for 622 yards and 5 TDs on the season. That is the most for a Bears TE since Kmet's 719 in 2023 (on 73 receptions). In the Super Bowl era, Dikta, Dewveal, Bennett, and Kmet are the only TEs in Bears history to have 650+ receiving yards in a season. Desmond Clark had 626. Loveland is having the 2nd best season in Bears history for a rookie TE, only to Dikta's 1,076 yards and 12 TDs in 1961 (in 14 games which is insane). Loveland also has a +43.2 REC EPA, 3rd to only McBride and Kittle. McBride has 161 targets, Loveland has 69.

I don't want him on our team regardless of draft round. You don't fail the biggest interview of your life like this. He doesn't appear to have done any workouts prior to the combine. 14 reps on the bench press and then today it was painful watching him run.

The defending champs get to go across the country on a short week to Seattle, and GB goes to Philly. If Seattle wins, I'll be cheering so hard for Green Bay. But really, NO is going to beat Seattle by atleast 2 TD's, and I like Philadelphia over the Pack. Predictions?
