So with Hester and his "one dimensional" contribution possibly leaving Chicago, maybe a player like Sproles could be the replacement? He's multi dimensional (to include returning kicks) and is familiar to OC Kromer. Not exactly the 'change of pace' back I think most envision, especially with Bush gone. With Cole Kmet still only 23 yrs old, I took a look back at how the current top TEs looked before they turned 24 and I was pretty shocked. Right now, Kmet has 33 more receptions than the next best TE before the age of 24 and he needs only 68 more yards to pass Pitts (on IR) for the most yards by an (active) TE before the age of 24. If he gets 2 TDs, he would also tie Njoku for the TD lead with 9. Did you know Kmet was this productive at that young of an age? If he averages the same number of receptions and yardage he had last year (60-612) from 2023 until he was 34 (Kelce is 33), he would be in the top 5 for receptions by a TE (all-time). Random thoughts from watching the Senior Bowl QBs... Graham Harrel flat out sucks and won't get drafted. I don't think I've ever seen a QB with a weaker arm, not even in high school. Rhett Bomar looked ok at times, seems to have enough arm strength to play in the league and showed some decent athleticism, his accuracy was way off on some plays. Apparently the Browns restructured Myles Garrett's contract, so if we traded for him, this would be our cap number for him: 2026 $9.1M 2027 $17M 2028 $21.3M 2029 $58M OR $5M dead cap to cut him 2030 $58M OR Nothing to cut him Those are three VERY affordable years for Myles Garrett, and a $5M out after that. This makes him very affordable for us. The only question is what will the Browns need in trade to eat all that cap. Very interesting.

I thought there was some good efforts today, some players showed they are who we thought they are. I’m not disappointed backing into the playoffs but going forward something I think needs to change organizationally. We know GB is the standard bearer, so given that has Teddy, Pace & Nagy really closed the gap. I don’t think so , so why not change something.

Here's a topic - I think Pace should have signed Robinson to a long term deal. Of course I don't know what he was asking, but if it was fair market value, I think it was a mistake not to sign him and give Fields that receiver to grow with long term.

It looks like Gase was offered the SF HC job, but only if Tomsula was his DC. He said no, and would keep Fangio or look to get an Assistant from Cincinnati. SF said no to Gase and Fangio and then pushed Tomsula up from DLine to HC.
