This needed to be done. The past three games has been the best 3 game span a CB has had in Chicago since Donnell Woolford. His coverage has been fantastic and he has blown up a few screen plays here and there with his physicality. Out of the Bears six picks, Jennings has four of them and batted the other two into picks. *Appreciates*

I see a lot of posts about a need for a speed WR to take the top off of the defense. I doubt the Bears go that route since the traditional west coast offense doesn't use a slot WR. That is why Earl Bennett was let go, he didn't line up in the slot once last year. Almost every play last season was with 2 WR's, MBennett and Britton. If we add another receiving threat, that will be in the form of a TE or FB imo. Just pointing out again to the guys that don't think we will look at a TE that we may just be holding our cards tight for Ebron if Donald/Dix are gone.

I want to create a new thread to capture thoughts on players in the Senior Bowl. We have quite a few comments scattered around different threads which keep morphing into new topics. I am not a huge Rex fan but I think he performs while Orton is out. He has three or four weeks to show the NFL that he belongs and he is practically fighting for his career. The Bears are not going to sign him after this season so he has to perform to show other teams out there that he can play in the NFL these couple weeks ahead are maybe the biggest of his career lets hope he follows suit.

Imagine if our training camp QB battle came down to Kyle Orton vs Chris Simms. Simms was the QB a lot thought JA would pursue to push Kyle along. Who would of won? Most likely Orton without a doubt, there wouldn't have been a real competition. Now, we get to see this competition for real. Denver will most likely not hand this job over b/c of favorites. It'll come down to a real battle and we'll get to see if Kyle is actually a decent QB or not. What are the odds? Does our homerism already convince us that Kyle is the better QB? This may also show us that we've been wearing the koolaide goggles. What do you guys/gals think?

I live here in Colorado and seen Cutler tear it up on the bootlegs with Denver. But we never run it. Every team we played (I've seen all games) runs it against us with success, until we slow or shut it down. But we don't want to run these type of plays because the other team might figure it out after we have success with it. That's the mentality of our coaches "Well we don't want to run it because they might figure it out after awhile".
