Great Blue North website has a list of all the undrafted college players on it, and it is pretty extensive. Lots of names we thought would have been drafted somewhere.

Could be bullshit, I have no idea. But this is the first indication that the Bears might be thinking about going the cheap route and using the cap dollars on positions other than QB. I'm not a huge fan of Hub Arkush int he least. But sometimes, he makes some valid points. Going home yesterday I heard him on the Parkins and McNeil show (kind of painful in it's own right...) Hub mentioned, that he thought having Chase Daniel could actually turn out to be a benefit. He feared a lull in the team given the last 2 wins and the short week. I always liked it later in the season, between weeks 8-10, that way you can rest some players for the stretch run. I also like playing the following week at home, that way you essentially get an extra day (no travel). This year we have our Bye in Week 6, a little early for me, but at least we play at home the following week. For comparison, Green Bay has their Bye in Week 10, Minnesota in Week 11, and Detroit in Week 5. All three teams play on the road the following week. Every team also plays one Thursday game.

I've been reading some good things about Al Louis-Jean and got curious about his background. I don't typically follow our UDFA signings as they rarely end up contributing but he appears to be on track to doing just that. (Christian Jones too). When I saw that Slausson used to play center I immediately craved him playing there over Garza. An interior line of Long-Slausson-Brown should be very, very solid if that's what ends up happening. When Slausson signed he said the Bears offered him the best plan for the future(or something along those lines) which was an odd statement coming from a guy who signed a 1 year contract. I'm really hoping he gets signed long term and we can see that Long-Slausson-Brown combo for years to come.

Whats everyones thought on Gerald. I just noticed that he benched 26 reps and his arms measured a whopping 35". Also of note is that he ran a better than expected 40 time. Thoughts?
