We all know I'm high on the Bears getting a DT but I've wanted to wait a bit longer to take one. There has been an essay by Tarik Cohen published. It had to be one of the most difficult stories I have ever read. When I saw that Slausson used to play center I immediately craved him playing there over Garza. An interior line of Long-Slausson-Brown should be very, very solid if that's what ends up happening. When Slausson signed he said the Bears offered him the best plan for the future(or something along those lines) which was an odd statement coming from a guy who signed a 1 year contract. I'm really hoping he gets signed long term and we can see that Long-Slausson-Brown combo for years to come.

A little more insight on our rookie ILB. These guys do a good job breaking down Kwiatkoski's skills defending the run. I still like this draft pick and agree with the decision to move up to take him. He's got at least one year to sit behind Trev and Freeman and learn, more likely two or three. If he gets on the field sooner I think he's already better at diagnosing plays between the tackles than any of the ILBs who took the field for us last year.
