ESPN and the Sun Times did a bit of Salary Cap work for the NFC North. Below are the figures for the four teams: Detroit: $26.8 million Minnesota: $20.4 million Green Bay: $19.09 million Chicago: $17.4 million These numbers do not reflect cap credits each team will get, including as much as $9m we are due to receive in credit for CB Marcus Hamilton. $9m for Hamilton? Wow. So we are looking at about $26M, and you can bet the others will be due increases also. What I didn't feel was mentioned much though was how each team is set up entering FA in terms of current players the team needs to sign. The bears have the following players due to hit …

So, if the Bears are well under the salary cap this year, why wouldn't/couldn't they just do the following: -Sign Forte, and make a large chunk of the contract go towards this year's cap -Have multiple years of a cheaper Forte Seems like this, if permissable, would kill two birds with one stone.

The wait for this info is over, cap at about the same as last year, 120.6 Million http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/03/11/salary-cap...HP11_hot_topics

Per NFL Network no contract details released so far except it being a 1 year deal.

Who? Is this good or just another "body"? http://mweb.cbssports.com/fantasy/fantasy-...e-year-contract

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...-of-real-value/ I can't believe he received 36 million with 26 guaranteed. I only mention this, because he's done very little throughout his career and it makes Cutler's deal seem like a steal.

With the Jets likely winning the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, they will likely try to get some value for Darnold. This is just me, but Darnold is better than what we have. So what say you? What would we be required to give up? I would love to load up on OL and have an NFL ready QB out of the draft.

He'll likely be the Bears #5 WR and play some ST. In other words, he's taking Davis' spot.

and the beat goes on...espn experts picks

Is it any better than last year? 38% of Cutler's pass attempts to Marshall. Only thing missing is he did not force one to Brandon that resulted in a INT. I am far from disappointed what with one half of football, but I hope the second half produces differently for the offense. Cincy's defense is good, so credit to them but, wow underwhelming 1st half offense.

The Chicago Bears have explored the possibility of signing veteran center Samson Satele.. Two NFL sources told the Tribune the Bears have expressed interest in the veteran that has started 114 games in his career for the Dolphins, Raiders and Colts. No deal is imminent at this point. 30, started all 16 games for the Dolphins last season

Hopefully of these new DTs we brought in works out for depth next yr. Not sure Garay will be ready by the beginning of the season. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt15.article Peace

What do you think? I like the passion, and if Nagy fails to improve the offense, Mike can slide into the HC position easily.

Mikey HC Yep it happened NOlan canned and Mike singletary now Head coach. Hmmmm , Watch the turn around in SF now.

He basicalky drafted almost all of SF's studs at Lb Willis, Bowman... Not to mention the OL he built while in SF and Suggs in Baltimore

Big game... Tice, entire O need to get something going.... They need to build some confidence... This O needs to start gelling.. It would be pretty sad to waste a great D!!!

Damn, that is exactly the type of offense the Bears should be running. Mixed in with good defense and special teams, it a recipe for success.

I can see it now. We win the game but hear the "the Bears get lucky again facing a team with key injury" kinda deal. IMHO Sanchez isn't that good as it is. The easy headlines for this game will be if the Jets win "Sanchez plays tough through injury and leads his team to victory." Bears win "Bears luck continues as they beat an injured Sanchez lead Jets team"

Due to Maye making the Super Bowl and Allen and others out due to injury, somehow the alternate selection passed up guys like Trevor Lawrence for Shedeur Sanders. Just when you think the award could not get any more ridiculous, they set a new low. At this point, it should not be used as any type of honor.
