What a win! This was a signature Chicago Bears victory. Great defense and an efficient running game. This is also setting up Fields for some opportunities in the passing game down the road. Teams are now going to have to commit an extra defender to the box to stop the run. The difference is we now have a QB that can hit the deep to intermediate throws. I know what i "know" about our roster this year - where the holes are, why it's a building year etc. I still believe all of that. But gosh darnit, Im excited for opening day, and Im gonna forget what I know and start dreaming. Lets go Bears!

Evidently Albert Breer was reporting today that the Bears have been in touch with Ngakoue's reps recently. I have to imagine he is there plan B - depending on how things shake out. I don't know how much he has left - but got to imagine Bears could get him between 5-7M for 1YR. He has flaws - but not bad from a depth perspective and you don't feel bad if other guys play their way into his role (in fact you prefer it). I presume he would be the passing down end - and it would allow you to slide Walker inside on those plays.

I know there are a good number of posters who enjoy $$$ Leagues in FF Therefore I would assume some might also be interested in a good Pick'em League I use to play every year at a site called 6DaysToSumday I had to skip out for a few years do to time restraints but have signed up for the games this year If anyone is interested it is the best Pick'ems I have seen, a lot of different pools to play I signed up for everything except the team pool (3 players in the weekly pool combine into a team entry) If there are any of you interested in this league and sign up let me know and maybe we can combine for the team pool option Hope this is not …

That has the Bears written all over it. They need more big fat guys in the trenches, especially with Ratliff out for a while. Don't think you can just rely on Eddie Goldman.

Since we signed Marshall(WR) and Campbell (QB) I think going after Williams will cost to much, so would go after Kamerion Wimbley and put him at DE instead....saves lots of money and gets a good pass rusher. Now with that we might be able to land either Grubbs/Nicks (G) and or Winston(OT) which would make our Oline better than las year. In the draft get either Floyd or Hill in the first and we are good in the Offense side of the ball. Then there is talk of adding Hayden at CB, Carlson at TE, Landry at safety we might have a great team next year.

At TE we may get the chance to grab the best TE in the draft Hunter Henry( not a blocking TE but the best available) Vannett and Morgan are the two best blocking TEs left in the draft and could be gotten in 3 or 4. Texans looked really good again in week 2. We'll see what happens tonight, but it should at least give people a little better hope entering tonight's game (and more longer term), given how much the Texans D got after Alex Smith and the Chiefs.
