Just listened to it on the score. Said everyone on offense should be held accountable, even if it meant jobs. Said he's trying his hardest not to let this affect him, but it's affecting him more than it should. This could get ugly if we don't make the playoffs. He got so angry he had to leave the podium.

  5. we had nearly 10 years of poor drafting that has left this franchise with nearly nothing in drafted talent. our roster is swarming with 2nd and 3rd tier players on BOTH sides of the ball and players at the ends of their careers. the only talent what-so-ever with maybe 1-2 exceptions has been brought in as free agents or drafted by someone else than jerry angelo. to let that GM continue on as long as he did falls DIRECTLY onto CEO mike mccaskey and his crony ted phillips. they have run this franchise into the freaking DIRT that will take a good GM 3-4 years to turn around in the draft even IF we currently have one!!! the coaching staff in this franchise should h…

After his quotes on the Final Word last night about the media and the fans, he can go. Paraphrasing - "Our fans are the only fans in the division that boo their team." "Two people I don't care about - the fans and the media. They obviously don't know what they are talking about." Goodbye, Brian. Go fxxk yourself. Peace

Like it or not, the three calls on Alshon were legit offensive pass interference calls. What's more, they should be a damning enough reason to fire Drake's non-coaching ass. Allow me to explain... When one of the deep officials (Field Judge, Back Judge, Side Judge) look for offensive pass interference, they look for three specific things: 1. Push off (with arm extension makes it much easier to see) 2. Blocking while the ball is in the air 3. Driving through a defender I can honestly say I've never seen one WR get three OPI calls on him in a single game, but all three fall into one of the above categories. When those officials get graded, they are ask…

A win keeps slim playoff hopes alive, a loss basically eliminates the team from the post season.

I looked at some stats today and found a nugget of interesting data. But first, what does the media spew out all the time about "Lovie Smith's defense"? OMG! They're going to strip the ball. They're going to get turnovers. Well, guess what? They're tied for 13th in the NFL in terms of forced fumbles with 14. And on top of that, only three teams in the top 16 recover less of those forced fumbles. >TEAM FF REC PER KC 15 16 106.67% DEN 14 13 92.86% PHI 23 21 91.30% NYJ 18 16 88.89% BUF 15 13 86.67% PIT 19 15 78.95% ARI 14 11 78.57% TEN 17 12 70.59% MIA 18 12 …

I was thinking today at how the wins this season have been sort of "hollow", either we've played bad teams or teams at the right time (Indy Week 1), etc. So I took a look back until 2006 to see how many winning teams we beat during the season, and I found an interesting trend, we beat either 2 or 3 teams every season, no more, no less, regardless of our record. Check this out: 2006 - 2 wins, SEA and NYJ as we go 13-3. Can you believe we won 11 games against teams at 8-8 or worse? 2007 - 2 wins, both vs a 13-3 Green Bay team (we accounted for 2 of their 3 losses as we floundered to a 7-9 record) 2008 - 3 wins, vs IND Week 1, PHI, and MIN. We went 9-7 and missed…

We can still make it to the playoffs just by a few things happening as listed below but we need to win these last two games! Scenarios that would put Bears in playoffs with a 10-6 record: *A Vikings loss and a Giants loss. *A Vikings loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Giants loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Vikings loss and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. *Two Seahawks losses and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. There are scenarios in which the Bears could get in with a 9-7 record: *Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Cowboys. *Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Redskins. *If the Vikings lose twice an…

The easiest thing the OC can do is make sure the play reaches Jay before you need to use a time out. We would have been able to stop the clock and have probably over 2 mins at the end of the Game. Why can Jay have a no. of plays with down and distance that if I don't receive a play by X seconds I can choose a play.

For one reason or another, I ended up on Jamarcus Webb's Facebook page. And, let me tell you, it's definitely full of his personality. So what's wrong with that? Allow me to extrapolate... He doesn't seem to be a very serious person. Everything seems to be a big game, a big joke to him. It all seems to be about smiling, doing internet contests, and giving away free tickets. He makes regular, late-night runs to fast food restaurants - something I doubt someone like Adrian Peterson or Thomas Jones does. I guess what I'm saying is, I don't like his attitude. For that much money, I expect more. For that much money, he should be more professional, more dedica…

This is in regards to next year. What would you guys like to see based on the possible outcomes to this season. I know some of you have said that you would take a wait and see approach. So here are the options. Please explain your votes and "other" choices. The only way I believe the Bears should retain Lovie and Co. is if we get hot and win the last 2 and at least the Wild Card game. The Wild Card game will more than likely be against Green Bay, which to me would make up for some of the follies this season. I would still want some changes (Tice, etc), but this would at least show me that they were capable of winning some big games. If we miss the playof…

With the news that stud LSU P Brad Wing is going pro, would he or any other college or FA punter interest you? Podlesh was 21st in average last year and is 30th this year. While he was 6th in net last year, he's 19th this year. He's due a bit over a million every year until 2016.
