From Rotoworld: Jaguars signed WR Torry Holt to a three-year, $20 million contract, according to NFL Network's Steve Wyche. He chose the Jags over the Titans. The Bears, Giants, and Eagles never showed interest. Holt, 33, is coming off his worst season and will be playing on grass for the first time in his career in a run-heavy offense. He's a poor bet to match his 2008 numbers (64-796-3), although Holt is an upgrade over the Jags' current receivers. This is not my dream draft but with all that I have read(I dont have a life) how I think the players will drop to us that we have on our board. 2-Bryd/FS/Ore I think we wanted Johnson and he is gone and the WRs we have rated high at this point are gone so we take a player on our board that fits this slot. This weekend, I played GM for the Bears in an online 7 round mock draft. Here's what we ended up with: 2) Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama - With Robiskie gone, this was a pretty easy decision, as I didn't want to reach for Iglesias or Massaquoi. 3) Brandon Tate, WR, North Carolina - A bit of an injury risk, but the best potential of any WR left, although I considered Jarret Dillard as well. 4) Henry Melton, DE, Texas - A guy the Bears appear to like a lot with the speed they are looking for off the end. 5a) Gerald McRath, LB, Southern Miss - Not on my radar really, but the highest rated player on the board for me with the versatility and speed at LB the Be…

In talking w/ a friend, more and more, I am beginning to think our 2nd round pick will be all about WR, and rounds 3 through 6 will pretty much go defense. Others might argue our need for a FS is just as great. Some argue DL is a favorite position for Angelo, and he may want to offer Marinelli (and Lovie) some more talent. But I really am beginning to think we will draft the best available WR in round 2. We all know WR is a need, but reasons I think we will go WR beyond that. When they were all throwing into the net from the goal post, he was slamming his hat down and laughing a little. That's good to see he's getting along with Hanie and Basanez. 2. The way the ball comes out of his hand is just so smooth and powerful. It seems like Basanez's throws take forever to get there, Hanie's are alright, and Cutler's are just on the money 100 mph.

I touched on this in another thread, but I think the Bears have to be at least considering drafting two WRs this year if the value is there. I'm sure they would still love to add a veteran (particularly Holt), but the amount of research the Bears have put into scouting the WRs suggests to me that they would probably be interested in getting a couple new bodies in there. So, if that's the case, which two WRs do you draft and where do you think you can get them?
