Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 5m Bears calling around the league, seeing if they can find a trade partner for DE Julius Peppers, per sources. Trade unlikely... C'mon Lovie!

I have a bet going with my friend whom thinks Lance will be playing in the middle before the year is up. Was Briggs playing in the middle at all thursday? He claims he was playing there quite a bit.

Emery's first call should be to OT Eric Winston then to wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Then guard Carl Nicks. Then safety LaRon Landry. Those players fill more glaring needs and would represent a wiser allocation of funds than Williams, likely the most expensive free agent on the market. Then try to sign Kamerion Wimbley and find a good CB in FA and then draft Floyd a LB,CB

  6. Where literally the entire board agreed on something? When it came to other coaches / players / personnel moves, we always have a healthy debate. I think this is the only time in the history of the site, I can remember everyone being 1000% on board with a move. The way I see it...if we are all on board, than maybe, just maybe, Bears ownership would be too. PS: I'm an optimist, so no matter how bad the situation for our franchise, I figure you got to find a way to somehow see humor in this mess! This humor happens to be talkbears harmony during the holidays!

It looks like David and "Run dem Pockets" is going to lock up the 1st seed and a Week 14 bye with a win this week. Congrats! A big win by Kam and "PapaBear" against Brad and "SuperBearsSuperBowl" sets up for what becomes a play-in playoff game in Week 13 between Brad and Andrew. Travis and Adam will be vying for the 2nd seed and a Week 14 bye, while Sully and Kam look to jockey for better seeding. Pending any madness, the standings will look like the following going into the last week of the fantasy regular season: 1. Run dem pockets 9-3* (vs The Bunny - needs win to clinch 1st Seed or Domination Inc loss) 2. Domination Inc 9-3* (vs Cali Bears - …

It was strange to see Dak look as uncomfortable as he did. Dallas D was tight and unsure. Choking kicker, etc. That's a mirror image of what we looked like 5 weeks ago. Now we are hot and have 3 extra days to heal and get ready for the Cheese Heads. I'll bet Vegas is not handing out those ridiculous odds for the Bears to run the table anymore. If we get in as a wildcard teams will NOT want to face us. Welcome back Mr Hicks!

After we signed what we hope will be our starting LT and TE for the next 4-5 years, in the last six days we have signed 6 players who either will start or add much need depth to the roster. 3.25.13--Signed Jonathon Scott who at worst will be a back-up swing-tackle. At best, he replaces J Webb at RT 3.24.13--Signed starting OLB James Anderson who was a big $$$ free agent two years ago. 3.23.13--Signed Tom Zbikowksi for LB & special teams depth. They say he could be the next Craig Steltz . . . 3.22.13--Signed MLB DJ Williams. He's probably better than Urlacher and cost less . . . if he can avoid getting suspended. 3.21.13--Signed blocking TE Steve Man…

  11. By Brad Biggs, Tribune reporter 8:50 a.m. CST, December 30, 2013 Ten thoughts after the Chicago Bears’ season-ending 33-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers. 1. It will not be easy to move past missed opportunities in this Bears season. There were plenty of chances to finish better than 8-8 and just one game’s difference would have meant a division title ahead of the Packers (8-7-1), who clinched the NFC North for the third straight year. The Bears lost on the final two weekends of the season when they knew before kickoff of the Dec. 22 game at Philadelphia that a victory locked up the division. There were losses in four of the final six games, including the overt…

  12. No terms disclosed - reported by Adam Jahns. He also was in Indy with Eberflus back in 2021. Know nothing else about him - but sounds like a swing tackle.

He currently works for Wanny but has a pretty good resume. Moon indicated that he might be one of the guys the Bears first targeted and are most interested in. I'll be interested to see what happens. I like his resume and his history of developing some pretty sucessful QB's (both in college and the pro's).

The Bears reportedly converted $7mil of Charles Leno's salary this year into a signing bonus. That gives us an extra $5.3mil in cap space this year. We will have to wait and see what Pace does with this. The Whitehair extension has been rumored all offseason but we could have done that without this extra cap space. https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1164179053223567364
