Interesting pick and this is likely a by-product of all the time they put into Devin Singletary. You can't watch an FAU game without wondering who the other guy in their backfield was. If you liked the idea of taking Tony Pollard late in the draft you will like Whyte. Similar style players and I'd say he has a shot at replacing Davis in the backfield in a year or two. The reviews and instant grades are coming in. For me this was an excellent weekend. For a draft that started late 3rd Rd we still picked up two players with 2nd Rd grades. Montgomery is a starter week 1. Ridley is a future WR2 starter. Shelley looks like at least a solid backup NB but has the potential to become a starter. Whyte has enough ability to develop into a 3rd RB after a year on the practice squad but may only find a niche as a special teams player. Denmark is just an athletic freak. See article below. I got spammed for comparing Anthony Miller to a young Antonio Brown, but it's surprising more people have not seen the similarities. In a way, Miller is already ahead of Brown. Brown took 3 years to get to 7 TDs, Miller did it in his rookie year with a bum shoulder. Brown was not WR1 until his 4th season, so Miller still has time to get there. Robinson, Miller, and Wims are all 25 and under. That would be a great trio to ride on for the next decade. Danny Trevathan has become my favorite players on the team, alongside Mack and Hicks of course. Can you believe the Bears signed Glennon and drafted Trubisky in the same offseason and then benched Glennon after he had 4 straight games with a TD pass, completed over 63% of his passes and 3 games with over 200 yards passing (1x 300 yard game)? For as bad as we thought Glennon was (which he was), Trubisky is actually worse. Trubisky has 0 TD passes in 6 of his last 8 games (not including MIN game where he left with injury). Trubisky now has as many games with less than 200 yards passing than he has with more than 200 yards passing (16 games each). Glennon, in comparison has 13 games over 200 yards, 9 games under 200.
