So the Bears have re-signed CB Marcus Cooper and long snapper Patrick Scales. I think we will probably see 2 OL and at least one pick on the defensive front seven in our first four picks. We could use another body at safety and WR, but the front seven and the OL are the obvious places that still need upgrades. I wouldn't be shocked to see us take 3 OL if you include the 5th round or later.

Chase Daniels was on the Bear Report today which is on 670 the Score. I believe the Bears nailed this signing just by the way he spoke. He knows his role is to help prepare Mitchel Trubisky and he is fully engulfed. He spoke with certainties about how he wants things done and talked strongly on how advanced Mitchel already is. He learned from sitting behind Brees and Alex Smith. I believe the transition will go great since Chase already knows and understands Nagy and he can fill the gaps for Mitchel. Also I took note on how important and it was stressed about having a strong run game. With the way it was stressed, do not count out the Bears drafting a RB. It wasn'…

I'm old school and I love the special teams aspect of football. It provides some of the most exciting plays each year whether it is kickoff and punt returns, to even FG at the closing seconds of the game. Fans are fixated on these moments. Even a missed extra point these days, since they moved it back to the 15yd line, can change the emotions of the game. How many here remember the FG block in the Bears - Packers game after Walter Payton passed away? If you are not familiar with him, Rick Gosselin does some outstanding analysis and reporting on the game. I'm curious to see how he plays this season after the change in workout strategy. As I've said before this is his first offseason in an NFL training program and it should help him quite a bit. He moved fairly well for a big guy last year but a bit more quickness in his cuts would certainly be beneficial. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/what-does-bears-coach-matt-nagy-have-in-store-for-te-adam-shaheen/ When the Bears designed their offseason training plan for Shaheen, their goal wasn’t to increase his power or strength — ‘‘I was pretty damn physical last year,’’ he said — but to make him more fluid, mobile and flexible. Part of the Bears’ focus was t…

There is a maturity to this young man I didn't expect to see so early in his career. I like it. Focus on the task at hand. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2018/06/07/mitchell-trubisky-no-longer-uses-social-media-its-just-a-distraction/

There are some early signs the offense is starting to come together. Anthony Miller is going to surprise a lot of people this season. I can include myself in that group as I wasn't that high on him in the draft process although the 2nd Rd seemed to be the right value for him. He's going to line up against other team's second or third best CB and that looks more and more like a huge advantage for the Bears. It also appears that Trubisky is starting to feel more confident in this new WR group considering all the tight window throws he completed today. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/postcard-bears-training-camp-allen-robinson-anthony-miller-mitch-trubis…

Watching some Notre Dame and Stanford football and the draft hit my mind. With our resources limited the next year or two with higher picks, do you see the Bears trying to extend or re-sign Massie at RT? I know a few, like myself would live to see us draft a long term solution, but Massie could buy us a couple years and keep continuity. We have a nice developmental project in Cowherd (sp) also. Thoughts?

I read this article and then looked at some stats to see where we fall. It's the end of the first quarter of the season so at this point things are leveling off and we can draw some conclusions from the numbers. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bears-prove-they-have-nfls-best-defense-win-over-tampa-bay Bears defensive rankings (others are from highest to lowest i.e. #1, #2): yards/gm 4th behind Jax, Baltimore, Washington pts/gm 4th behind Jax, Washington, Baltimore INTs 2nd with 8 behind Miami with 9. Jax has 1, Bal 4, Wash 3 FF 1st with 8. Jax has 2, Wash 1, Bal 2 Sacks 1…

I completely missed that James Daniels was on the field for about half the offensive snaps. Brad Biggs has a nice summary of it. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-10-thoughts-brad-biggs-buccaneers-20181001-story.html That might be the first time I've ever seen an Oline rotate guards throughout a game. It will be interesting to see where we go from here after the bye week. This draft class looks better each week: Roquan starter, Daniels (soon to be starter?), Miller (starter), Iggy (backup/special teams), Nichols (already in Dline rotation), Fitts (inactive), Wims (will he take Kevin White's snaps soon?)

Torn pectoral muscle. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/bears-sam-acho-out-for-season/ Who gets the call? Irving or Fitts? I think it will be Irving. Fitts needs a lot of work on his pass rushing moves.

Man, this is the third, or fourth, time that I will be on a plane when the Bears play. I think, but then again, I've had some good bourbon since then, that we always win when I'm flying. So, on Dec 2nd I'll ask for the good stuff on the plane!

It's been said many times in many forms this year already...but dang! I am just so happy with the direction this team is going! They are good and likable! Who knows what the playoffs has in store and how the team performs. All I know, is I like our chances this round, and feel we have more than a "puncher's chance" if we are able to progress. This is simply fun to watch! This is all free dessert with the meal! Cheers and Bear Down!

That's one tough hombre and he put up great numbers against the Eagles. That late catch in between the CB and S, the one to setup the game winning FG, and where he knew he was getting hit takes on a new meaning. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/02/12/allen-robinson-was-battling-broken-ribs-during-his-biggest-game-of-season/
