I have heard speculation that their HC would never treat this game any differently than the norm. I have also heard key players might be held out, such as Jacobs. What have you guys heard? If they play this game with normal personnel on the field I have no doubt MIN loses. If they pull every player who has as much as a hangnail to prevent further injury, MIN wins.

Watching NFL Total Access this AM Terrell Davis states in a very positive manner that the Bears will lose this Sunday and our season will end. Guess we should just rest our starters and mail this one in.

Bears' receiving corps gets makeover: Rashied Davis out as starter December 23, 2008 Rashied Davis didn't hide his frustration leading into Monday night's game as criticism of his play mounted. Imagine how the Bears' receiver feels now after being benched. Davis, who entered the game with a team-high seven drops, was replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Lloyd. Davis had started the previous five games and 12 of the team's 14. "It's not easy to be sitting back and watching when you know you're capable enough to be out there playing," Davis said. "I just did my job. I thank God that I was able to go out and have some opportunities to make some plays [on…

Duke Robinson is on the board and the Bears want him, but the Steelers offer up a huge deal and give the Bears their 1st rounder, their 3rd rounder, and a 3rd next year. 1. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers --massive WR (6'4 220), inconsistent this year (was great last year) but a clutch physical player, great combination of size and speed, projected to go early 2nd 2. Rashad Johnson, FS, Alabama --leader, high football IQ, and big hitter- Brown and Payne just don't get it done good enough 3. Travis Bright, OG, BYU --another massive player (6'6 320) and has been very good this year 3. Mark Sanchez, QB, USC --might be a homer pick here, but he has a good arm w…

Guys...take it for what it's worth... THE OFFENSE 1) Turner still out-thinks himself. I called more Bears' plays before they happened than I care to mention. If I can do it, surely the other teams can do it. That's the major reason, IMHO, why the Bears offense is not scary. It's very rarely a surprise. The majority of the time when our offensive players do well, it's in spite of Turner, because the plays are very predictable. 1a) Playing AP makes no sense. Kevin Jones is active; let him get the carries when resting Forte. 1b) Booker drop, Hester at least on drop. I am sick of this argument that the other WRs can't "crack the starting lineup". At a certa…

Noots’ Notes-Game 15: 20-17 Win over Green Bay in OT By Michael Nudo The Bears (9-6) used smoke, mirrors and a little bit of luck to fight their way back from a 14-3 halftime deficit and beat Green Bay (5-10) 20-17 in overtime in front of a frozen Soldier Field crowd. With temperatures hovering around zero, the Chicago faithful were treated to a real nail-biter to keep playoff hopes alive and to avenge an embarrassing 37-3 loss in Green Bay just over a month ago. It took Brown’s block to send it to overtime (AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh). OFFENSE Quarterback Kyle Orton (14-27-142, TD, 2 INT) had a poor game. He was inaccurate throughout the contest, m…

You could breed them together (fill in who you want to be the girl here) and get a QB that is good at the deep ball as well as the short routes.. Season is about over and is pretty obvious that Orton is another Shane Mathews..

They cannot get open or off the jam. They drop too many passes. Damn, they piss me off. Booker - gone Lloyd - gone Davis - 5th receiver, special teams only Hester can stay but stop dropping the friggin ball (2 tonight) Bennett - nice to see him get reps and he actually was open once Peace

for pushing the blocker into the punt at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Great, great play. Just keep him off the field on offiense. Peace

Just got back from the game. Some notes: - Not as cold as advertised. No wind so it was tolerable. We stood 95% of the game. - Both Brad Maynard and Robbie Gould should be in the probowl. Some one needs to explain to me how they are not. - Dave Toub deserves a huge raise. Special teams is the reason we won tonight (although they almost lost it at the end of the game). Manning return, punt fumble recovery, Hester return, blocked kick. All of these plays were huge. - Rasheed Davis did not play on offense. Bennett actually got reps. - Marty Booker: thanks for your great effort when you were here before but you need to go. Man was I wrong …

He looked a LOT better tonight. He got some decent blocking and looked to go vertically instead of trying to run around everyone and get tackled for -3 yards. He was aggressive going down the field and looked like the Hester of old. I expect him to break one against Houston, and if I'm the Bears, I put Hester out there returning kicks NEXT to Danieal Manning. Side note...we need to play Soulja Boy again when he is back to return.

Feed up with dumb defense play. Either get a real defensive coordinator or lovie should take over full time. I have this feeling that nobody is taking personal ownership of the defense.

ok, yes i am a Patriot homer, but here is how i would at least attemp to turn our beloved Bears around (although it would never happen) Fire GM and coaches. Hire Scott Pioli as GM, Josh McDaniels (NE O Coord.) as head coach...let them hire the rest of the staff. Sign Matt Cassel. We need to turn this franchise in a new direction and i think those are the guys to do it. What say you

GB - I'll take a nice sloppy game tonight. Both the bears and Pukers are about equal in terms of rushing offnese, but there is a huge difference in rush defense. We are the 7th ranked run D, allowing less than 100 yard per game and only 3.5 ypc average. GB meanwhile is the 27th run defense, allowing nearly 140 yards per game, and 4.7 ypc average. They have us in the passing game, both in offense and defense, but if the weather is as cold and bad as it looks, it will making passing much harder. Houston - I am really hoping for pooring down rain. I didn't realize this, but my dad (who lives in Houston) told me their roof is still not fixed, from the hurric…
