Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. I admit, I have very little knowledge of college ball, and can't really assess who in college will be great in the NFL. I've been both right and wrong with pure guesses and with some research. Although I think my batting average is better than Angelo's (that one's for you jason!), I don't think I really have a good enough feel to make a solid call on who exactly we should be getting. So, with that said...this is what I expect... 1. I expect Emery to get the right guy. I'd like that guy to play on the D side of the ball. I'd like him to be either a DT or a S. But I'd be fine with really any defensive slot. There's a case to be made to fill any spot. But if so…

Fields' stats really got pounded by his rookie year with Nagy. That has skewed a lot of his career numbers and brought him down to Blaine Gabbert levels, when he should not even be used in the same sentence as Gabbert. There are several comps for Fields, but some easy ones are when Year 3 QBs get their true WR1s. In these cases, you can see the meteoric jump in stats. To make it easy, I just used QBR, which uses a collection of the normal stats to come up with one number. As you can see below, Josh Allen was a league average QB before Diggs arrived, Hurts was slightly above average before he got Brown, and Tua was slightly above league average before Hill came to to…

Right now we have MIN and GB ahead of us in the division and ATL, SEA and TB ahead of us in the Wild Card. Based on schedules going forward, it seems like ATL and MIN have the hardest paths. Week 12: ATL 6-4 vs MIN 7-3 TB 5-5 at IND SEA 5-5 vs PIT Week 13: GB 7-4 at DET MIN 7-3 vs SEA 5-5 ATL 6-4 at TB 5-5 Most realistic: MIN beats ATL, then loses to SEA, moving to 8-4 GB beats DET, moving to 8-4 ATL loses to MIN, then beats TB, moving to 7-5 SEA loses to PIT, then beats MIN, moving to 6-6 TB loses to both IND and ATL, and drops to 5-7 1. MIN gets ATL, SEA, ARZ, CHI, NYG, and GB. Of all the teams, they have the toughest path to th…

Years ago some people posted links where we could watch the games live. Does anyone still have that info? I’m not in Chicago and I don’t have the ticket. Thanks in advance!!

Taylor is going to be a top 10 Punter, and huge upgrade over limped legged Gill. There has only been 1 rookie punter ever to break 50 yards per punt. I think Taylor joins Stonehouse with his average per punt. Due to a better offense, I don't know how often he will be punting, but I don't think averaging over 50 yards per punt is out of reach for him. The other thing he excels at is pinning team inside their 20. Last season Stonehouse (again), averaged 52.8% of his punts inside the 20. Wishnowsky was the only other punter over 50%. I think Taylor can go 50/50% this year, which would be a top 5 punter in the NFL.

  9. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...about-extension When Emery made this deal I was excited but had a small bit of worry with him doing something stupid like in years past. All I can say he has turned into one of my favorite players!!! I couldn't have hoped for a Better Brandon Marshal!!!

    1. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - (A-). There are so many layers to this as it ends up essentially being a trade that will give the Bears HHCD and more than likely a comp pick while Packers get Amos and the Redskins 4th rounder. The more I watch HHCD, the more I see why the Bears went after him. I don't know if you can get a better Safety for that price ($3.5M). I outlined most of that in the other thread, and there is the added bonus and motivation of playing alongside his buddy in Jackson. Also, HHCD is only 4 months older than Amos and has never missed a game in his career. 2. Cordarrelle Patterson - (B+). Not much more you can do here. Add one of the best returners to a wea…

We had some debate about this over the offseason. I felt at the time since we were seeing Mizzell take snaps away from Cohen even in the playoff game that coaches felt he was maxed out. Looks like they want to pare things down even more from what he did last year. This might explain why we went after Patterson which I don't think anyone was expecting. At least I wasn't expecting us to have interest in him and certainly not at $5mil/yr. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/08/21/matt-nagy-we-gave-tarik-cohen-a-little-bit-too-much-at-times-last-season/

Finally found one I like but his injury history is a problem. Of course that is likely the only reason he'll be available in the 2nd Rd. Even in this game you can tell his right leg is still not 100%.

Still give attention to that mess from Kiln MS? I am tired of him and the praise that he receives and anything that has to do with his family. I wish to hell that he would just go off into the sunset and never be heard from again. He is worse that Jordan or Magic leaving the NBA and the sooner the freakin East Coast dumb ass media let this idiot go the better off our World will be. Go the F*ck Away loser boy as I do not want to hear of you nor your dumb ass family ever again.

The Tribune has a good article on Jordan Howard and his offseason work. Most notable was the eye surgery and he now has 20/20 vision. I'll be curious to see if this helps his pass catching. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0613-story.html

  17. Pace has taken a lot of heat by his overall draft: Trubisky, I dont think many will complain about actually taking MT its the trading up the one spot that deserves criticism Shaneen has yet to produce but being a 2nd round pick , you expect more this spot in the draft. Cohen and Jackson were taken in the fourth being we gave away our 3 rd pick. Great choices Mogan got drafted in the 5th with the jury still out on but looks like a potential future starter. Re doing the draft with out the trade #1 Still take MT but with the third pick. ( He looks like a potential franchise QB that we had to address in this draft) We could have later taken Watson but t…

I apologize in advance if this topic has been thoroughly dissected, but has anyone read Trestman's book? Les Carpenter's Yahoo article has me wanting to get some more insight into our new chief.

In the offseason, the guy lied about his vaccine status saying he was "immunized", never wore a mask, was in close contact with hundreds, if not thousands of people, who assumed he was vaccinated, and he wasn't. Pretty dirtbag move, but not surprising from him. I could care less if you are vaccinated or not, but it just seems odd that he would go this whole time acting like that. I am sure he will get off with a fine or something minor because he has some pics of the commissioner.
