  3. Here is a screen cap of my conversation with Jeff Pearlman today. When I asked about if Connie meeting a mistress at the HOF was in his book (which it is) he blocked me. Connie has publicly come out and said that this event never happened. As far as I'm concerned, this false statement in his book and the fact that he quotes Bud Holmes of saying that Walter Payton abused drugs, which he also denies, tells me this book is garbage and full of lies. If you question him about his book, you'll get an answer. And that answer always seems to be "Read the Book" then comment. In other words, make his ass some money reading a book of lies, then tell him it sucks. Here…

Here we go. The defense has quit on Nagy and Pagano. Multiple times last night I watched Fuller, Gipson, Jackson, Mack and Roquan easing up on plays. They were dead all game. Everyone saw it. Pagano has the reputation of being a good guy coach, from Baltimore to Indy. He was fired from Indy because he was so good to the players that needed a boot up their ass and didn't hold everyone accountable that he lost the team. I witnessed it, as I live just outside of Indy. Pagano is done here. Again, I would seriously try to trade Jackson, Hicks, Mack and Fuller and rebuild. (What's the dead money for trading these guys?) On to the offense where we thoroughly know t…

Quarterbacks (2): Jay Cutler, Caleb Hanie. When you have an elite quarterback, it's easy to go with just two. The team will look for a third for the practice squad and consider Brett Basanez. Running backs/fullbacks (5): Matt Forte, Kevin Jones, Garrett Wolfe, Adrian Peterson, Jason McKie. It's been an uphill battle for Peterson, but he ran very well at Denver and always has been reliable on special teams. ''I just show up on film,'' Peterson said when asked how he evaluated his chances. ''If they stick me out on the field, I am going to show up. I'm going to let the chips fall where they do. I'm not losing sleep over anything.'' Jones hasn't sparkled i…

  9. Far too often we are forced to see the DL jump offsides. Far too often we are forced to see the OL twitch in crucial moments. Far too often we are forced to see the WR run the wrong route. Far too often we are forced to see the LB pick the wrong gap. Far too often we are forced to see the DB make horrible tackling attempts. This is the most poorly coached Bears team I have ever seen. I don't know what this coaching staff must do to get fired, but this is ridiculous.

Caleb's 3rd season, 2nd under Ben Johnson. 2nd season for DA at DC, no other major coaches left. This is the SB window. The last time the Bears had back-to-back winning seasons and playoff appearances was 2005 and 2006, finishing 11-5 and then 13-3, ultimately losing the SB. However, the last time they won playoff games in back-to-back seasons was 1984 and 1985, culminating in the historic SB win. The 84-91 stretch was awesome but so frustrating. They should've had 2 Super Bowls and probably 3 visits. Way too many one and dones.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...108-column.html Quote from the article: Then, in what one source described as McCaskey's quest to break the cycle, Pace emerged after an impressive interview that dazzled McCaskey and President Ted Phillips. It probably helped Pace's cause that Ballard challenged the Bears hierarchy during his meeting by wanting to limit Phillips' involvement, according to another source. We will likely never know how much Ballard's boldness intimidated the Bears or Pace's panache simply enthralled them. But the tide turned. When I say I want the new guy to have total control I don't mean just in player personnel decisions. …

  12. Pace said: “There’s a window here to improve our team. … We have foundation pieces in place on our roster. We’ve proven we have a playoff ready roster; we’ve been there two of the last three years and we’ve got a lot of young talent we need to develop. Obviously our expectations are much higher than that. But it’s about building upon what we already have, making the necessary strides. That’s a big one that we’re talking about right now and I understand that. But we do feel like we have a lot of foundation pieces in place, a lot of good talent on our roster, and it’s our job to add to that.” https://heavy.com/sports/chicago-bears/release-offensive-lineman-rashaad…

left on the 53 man roster. Cowboys | Team meets with Bollinger Tue, 2 Sep 2008 17:27:22 -0700 Updating a previous report, Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys met with free-agent QB Brooks Bollinger (Vikings) Tuesday, Sept. 2. The Cowboys may sign Bollinger after Week 1. He would have never made it to the practice squad. Dallas was the other team that tried to sign him as a FA after the draft. He is from Texas. They would have snagged him in a heartbeat. Peace

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...78-17680b4c6f88 The Bears are saying this is Pace's show. I believe that to be true. I have zero faith in George and Ted to make any football decision and that is who Pace looks to for support. It wont change anytime soon unless Pace and the new HC royally freak this up. Ted and George already hosed up the Emery Era, if the Pace era doesn't get better the only thing George can do is fire Ted Phillips and completely restructure the Front office. Ive never disliked a Pro Teams President as much as Ted Phillips. I like George, he seems to really care but freak Ted Phillips.

This video is near proof that the Bears need to draft OL in the first round, and maybe several others. When Cedric Benson is given a chance to build up steam, he's shown glimpses of dominating running. He's shown a little wiggle, a good deal of power, and an ability to see the whole/cutback lane. The Bears simply have to draft OL first, and all this Mendenhall talk is just plain crazy.
