All per Biggs. Cohen was a 7th round pick of the Lions, started 4 games there and started another game in 2011 for the Pats. ESPN scouting report- Coming out of college he was 275, he's now listed at 300. He'll pretty much take Minters spot. Interested in seeing what Minter can do.

  4. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0104-story.html Thought this summary was a pretty good read and I generally agreed with all of his answers. Two things that stood out was how he is trusting the process and being patient and highlighting how despite various reports, John and Ryan are absolutely on the same page. As long as that is the case, then I fully agree with the decision to keep with the path, but I do agree this is going to be a pretty defining offseason, mainly because we have to find a way to get a QB and It might be that out of all the guys available (via draft / trade / free agency) only one guy (if that) might be that guy and somehow we have to…

  5. Coaching carousel will be a wild ride in 2010 .Mike Florio Archive|Email Mike FlorioComments (1)More Login or register to post commentsPrinter-friendly versionWednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 - 11:02 a.m. ET After the 2005 season, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti had a problem. The team he owns had missed the playoffs for two straight years. Coach Brian Billick, who won a Super Bowl in his second year on the job thanks to a dominant defense built before he arrived, had demonstrated a chronic inability to develop a successful quarterback. And so Bisciotti was thinking about making a change. But if Billick had been fired, who would have been hired? Bisciotti conclude…

Anyone got the Bears selection order for this draft as of now? For some reason I keep thinking I read somewhere that our picks for compensation were gonna be pretty good this year. But anyone got what picks we do have before the news of what we are getting from Vikes?

  8. 1. ted phillips - great bean counter and cap guru. accomplishments: great stadium deal if you are the owner and cheap help. all designed to keep money in owners pockets. 2. jerry angelo - cheap first time GM who is great as a cap guru and, as phillips right hand man, helps keep money in owners pockets. accomplishments: great cap management which helps put cash in owners pockets but after 7 years of drafts has nothing/nothing special to show for it on either side of the ball. hired the cheapest inexperienced coaches and staff possible and sees no need to change any of them after 2 pathetic back-to-back seasons of regressive mediocrity. won't rock the salary boat…

We saw some good things Monday night with our offense dominating in yards, points and TOP. When Ryan Poles told the coaching staff that it was time to access what we do best, I believe the time was right. While the outcome is something we've been looking for, it's not the model for our future success. Current success dictates that we use Justin as a weapon on the ground. While running QB's might win an MVP, none have won the Super Bowl. While Justin can have success being Lamar or Cam, his ultimate success would be Steve Young or Josh Allen. I simply don't think it's sustainable. Also, as much as I love a good run game with a back like Henry, they ain't going a…

    1. The Bears defense has allowed as many 50-point games in the past 11 games as it did in the previous 759. 2. Chicago joined the 1923 Rochester Jeffersons as the only teams in NFL history to allow 50 points in back-to-back games. 3. Chicago’s 42-0 halftime deficit was the second biggest in NFL history. 4. Chicago has allowed more points in the first half of games (179) than the Cleveland Browns have allowed all season (172). 5. Overall, the Bears are 31st in the NFL in opposing quarterback’s rating (107.0), ahead of only the Jets (108.8). Only two teams have been worse in that category in the last 10 years. 6. Cutler’s 10 interceptions this seas…

Based on a few of the other depth guys we picked up, we are going to have a killer Special Teams unit.
