I don't know about you, but I didn't expect this kind of season from our kicker. Santos broke all kinds of franchise records and ended the season making 27 straight kicks. His only misses were from 46 and 52, with one blocked XP. I really hope we can lock him up for a few years and not have to worry about kicking. Then our favorite ex-kicker Parkey is prepping to let down another entire fanbase in Cleveland in the playoffs.

  4. Started by jason,

I've always been a fan of the Fullback position. I love the slobber-knockers. Guys who know they will get three carries on the year, and five times as many forehead stitches. I don't know if one fits that well in Trestman's offense, but there are three stud FBs this year that would be good draft picks in the 5th or 6th. Jay Prosch - Pretty good athleticism, opens good holes, takes smart angles, understands how to get to the second level JC Copeland - Dude is a beast. Runs through walls. Blows up blockers, and I don't think we'd have to worry about the short yardage plays in near future. Trey Millard - More of a combo FB/TE/HB player, he…

Projected 5th-6th round, so some value here. I was figuring OL or LB with this pick, so it makes sense. He seems like he may stick around to fill a backup role, but better suited for OG.

For the time being, he's experiencing a slide down Todd McShay's Mock Draft 2.0, as the ESPN analyst has him falling to the New York Jets at No. 6.

Just curious on the thought of moving Daniel's back to center. I think that is were he flourishes, if he can overcome the mental aspects. I would feel better about it if the Bears can have a probowler like Warford on his right, but just read those talks are off. Still thought it would be worth considering. It is a difficult thought since it didn't work the first attempt, so do they scrap that idea? As a guard, he is not strong enough. At center, he wasn't ready to make the reads and calls. The organization is at a win at all costs point to save their jobs. What do they do?

  13. I'll start with the Bears.. I've gone back and forth on this one all Summer. At first, I was thinking there was no way they could be worse than a 10 win team with the additions they made on the defensive line and the fact that the offense is in its 2nd year under Trestman. However, over the last several weeks, it has become readily apparent that this team may have more questions than I can ever remember a Bears team having in recent memory. -Do they have A LB'er? -Do they have any reliable safeties? -Do they have a punt returner? -Do they have a kickoff returner? -Can Jared Allen stay healthy and productive? -Will any of the rookie defensive players m…

(but here are more important ones) -Said Tebow has a lot to work on but works on them all day. -Said there's a slim chance he can play vs GB if the Bears win vs Seattle. -Said Hanie is doing better but Martz needs to continue to help him. -Said Barber did a lot of good in that game and nobody should solely blame him. -Said the D has been outstanding. Little recap for everyone.

  15. http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_...thorne/10285789 Earlier today we reported that the New York Jets might be interested in safety LaRon Landry who’ll hit the free agent market this week. Now according to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears also appear to be interested in Landry as well. Both teams need an upgrade at the safety position, and might be able to get Landry at a good price, since he hasn’t played a full regular season since 2008. Cole also stated that the Redskins want Landry back, which is a bit of shock since I’ve been hearing they’re ready to move on from him.

The first and foremost factor will be health. With DJ Williams returning to practice and possibly starting, having rookie LBs Bostic and Greene serving as depth bodes well. Of course Williams health going forward will be a concern but Bostic receiving significant reps in the preseason is a plus.Right now this team is thin at the OL depth an CB depth and inexperienced at quite a few positions after the top 3 guys. DT,DE,CB,OL and QB. This seems to be a work in progress and I'm not sure that this isn't a calculated gamble on Emery's part. If Cutler suffers a freakish accident on the field like when he broke his finger against the Chargers a couple of years ago then th…
