I watched some highlights of this kid and really like how he plays the game, both in pass coverage and run support. He won't be an elite cover corner but he matches up well with the attributes of what Jennings and Tillman have. He can definitely play man coverage and would likely be outstanding in zone coverage as he seems to have great instincts and drives on the ball. Tashaun Gipson is the free agent I was hoping to resign. I thought he played well last year considering Eddie Jackson lacklustre play. Another year of familiarity with the Bears and playing for a good contract I hope he plays great and gets rewarded by the Bears. I now feel that safety isn’t a need and Pace can draft best player available or trade up to get a QB prospect. I hope it’s the former and my ideal scenario is trade back in the first to a desperate team and pick up another 2nd. That's right the Packers are in last place in the NFC North after week 1. LOL Gotta enjoy that while it lasts, SF is a tough team though. Who'da thunk the Bears, Lions, and Vikings all are 1-0 and the Packers are 0-1. If we can take one from GB that will be huge and give us a virtual 3 game lead on the media darling Packers. Big game coming up for the Bears and nothing would make me happier than to see the the Bears stomp all over the Packers in their house and give them an 0-2 start and give them their second straight home loss this year!.

The Denver Broncos have cut T. J. Ward, Pro Bowl strong safety. I know we got Demps in FA and drafted Jackson but I have to believe we have more than enough room and cap space to bring in a 30 year old player to bolster a position we have needed strengthening since Mike Brown departed. I would prefer a pro bowl CB or a OLT that is a big upgrade over what we currently have starting. However, since the likelihood of finding either at this stage is slim to none, T. J. Ward looks mighty fine to me.

Making that move which has been reported locally would cost the Bears 8 of their possible 11 million in cap space basically handicapping them to make other moves. A deal needs to be done to give the team more flexability.

Sanzenbacher did ok on specials teams this past week and it looks like that was the final nail in the coffin. Now about that other WR competing for the last roster spot....Joe Anderson I think he ends up on our practice squad.
