I really don't know what to make of this club anymore. I just feel that the coaching, the iuneptness on offense, and the lack of adaptability on D is a death knell. THe only shining star of the team is ST, and even Gould managed to botch a kick. Have the planets now lined up agasint this team? Did Lovie sell his sould to get to the SB? I'm just at a loss. From here on out, my expectations are rock bottom. We may start games great and roll into the 4th quarter w/ a 30 point lead, and I'll still be thinking, "Is that enough?" I initlally thought this team would go 6-10 from the pre-season. After the Colts game, I adjusted that to one up since we sto…

So where does the problem lie? Is it w/ coaching or execution. And please, no middle of the road, "both" answers. Obviously, we have some issues w/ both, but which side of the fence does the greater level lie? Offense I think everyone here would disagree w/ quite a few playcalls, and I would agree. But I would also argue that we would disagree w/ some playcalls from every game, regardless who the coach is. While there are have some very questionabel playcalls, on offense, I think the issue is more execution. One big plus I give to Turner was an adjustment I saw after the 1st half. In the first half, Orton was getting flat out killed. In that half,…

A buddy of mine just passed along a new website that looks a little better than StoogeTV and is supposed to do the same thing. I don't know how well it works, but he said it worked fine. http://www.MyP2P.eu/

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=5169 Sorry if this was posted somewhere else. I just read on the "Mark Bradley" thread where someone mentioned Harrison, and I'm going, "Who? What?" So I had to go to chicagobearstalk.com to find it. I just hate it when breaking Bear's news is not front and center (albeit a back-up, back-up corner-back) I'm guessing this is sending a message that we're not please with our current corner-back situation.

With two games down, the Bears future needs may have shifted a little. Brandon McGowan once again went down and the Bears must plan to go on with out him, so finding another S has shifted up on the Bears big board. As the world knows, the Bears also need to find a QB that won't just be counted on to be a game manager, but can be relied upon to give them a chance to win a game also. The Bears also need to continue rebuilding the OL and should look at Tampa/Carolina as a model. I have the Bears picking 17th after this week: RD1-17 Duke Robinson G Oklahoma 6-5 330 JA struggled on making this pick b/c he likes his pick Beekman and FA pickup Bruenning, but R…

Ok I have read all the things I can here, From the extreme of one side saying it Orton, to another saying its Turner. The funny thing is we dominated every quarter on time possession and percentage of total net yards. We out played TB in almost every aspect of the game. With exception of the number passes. But our average of net yards per pass was greater then TB. Offensively The Bears are on track as wierd as it may seem, at least by the stats. Defensively its another story. Babich maybe the culprit or maybe Lovie wanting him to run it it a certain way. But either way you look at it, it smells pretty bad. Holding TB to 47 total rushing yards say the D line …

As much as I hate to say it. Even though it seems that Bear mgnt seems to differ. I'm a big koolaid drinker but so far this season does not look good. Our first 4 games are toughest part of the season and so far we are 1-2. We could have been 3-0. With that said 0-3 was also a possibility but were lucky enough that the colts had some key injuries and manning (rusty) looked like Orton sunday running for his life. This sunday we maybe get lucky if Philly (who had a big win against Pitt and has a divisional game with the redskins in 2 weeks) have a let down. Our defense at times have looked great early in games setting the tone, getting turnovers leav…

Frustrating. For the second week in a row we've turned victory into defeat. This one was worse because you can't pin it specifically on one guy fumbling away his only two catches. This game came down to a few things: * Bad play calling and/or execution. We can't seem to gain those few yards we need on third down to extend our offensive series. Leaving just enough time on the clock for Griese to lead them down for the tying score. * Bad luck. There were a few opportunities we had on tipped balls where we were inches from making yet another pick. Either of these could've ended it right there, on the spot. * Stupidity combined with poor officiati…

This coaching staff is herendous. I wouldnt mind seeing all but Toub fired. How do u consistently repeat the same bonehead mistakes? And Lovie should check himself in at the Chicago Memorial Hospital for his Alzheimers'. He looks like a zombie. where the hell is Marc Bradley and Earl bennet? The sabercat(davis) has nothing but destroy the teams chance to win the last two games. At least those two guys can catch. Hey Orton, welcome to the Rex Grossman club. Nice pass to Gaines Adams. Also, try cocking your arm back to throw a pass with a little bit of speed on it. I dont remember once seeing you hit a guy that was 5 yards passed his defender. Forte was wide open…

To quote Butthead. This sucks more than anything has ever sucked before. We had them down 24 -14 with just over 3 min left and couldn't finish the deal. We let them drive at will and put up 10 unanswered points to force over time, then we nearly gave them the win in OT if not for the grounding penalty then we pin them deep, stop them then get a stupid freakin personal foul, that gives them a fee first down then we let them drive the length of the field give them a chip shot FG to win. We are 1-2 and should be 3-0 but we can't get out of the way of our own stupidity. We suck worse than any freaking team in the leage. We are a sick joke of a team I'm getting sick…

It's an ankle. No word on the severity. I don't wish injuries upon anybody, but to have him out next Sunday would be a HUGE boost.

We have three decent DEs who have all shown flashes but this team hasnt had a pass rusher that can take over a game in a long time. The closest thing I can think of isnt even a DE, its Colvin. If this team could get a guy who can actually make a team gameplan for him our defense would dominate. Our d line has been ok the past few years and this year looks good against the run but if we could get pressure on the qb I think our defense could generate ridiculous amounts of turnovers. Look what happened yesterday when we needed a stop, Griese was sitting in the pocket all day. I think a safety and defensive end should be needs for this off season along with OL, QB and po…

The referees screwed the Bears big time. How do you not see Trueblood punching at one of our players right in front of everyone?! Total B.S!! I won't stand for it. Something needs to be done. We'll find out in a week that that guy gets a fine, and he ends up saving the game for the Bucs because the freakin referees missed the call.

Noots’ Notes-Game Three: 27-24 OT Loss to Tampa BayBy Michael Nudo Former Bear quarterback Brian Griese led a second-half Tampa Bay comeback to tie and then defeat the Bears 27-24 in front of a stunned Bears’ home opener crowd. Losing more than their composure (AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh). OFFENSE QuarterbackKyle Orton (22-34-268, 2 TD, 2 INT, 6-21) had an up and down performance. He threw an interception for a touchdown on a middle screen intended for Desmond Clark. Orton missed open receivers on numerous short routes that left many observers scratching their heads. On deeper passes, he under threw open receivers on several occasions as well. His other …

K, can we start using this guy more? What was the point of bringing him here if you're not going to use him? Nah, lets give more carries to our FB.

Look, I'm not just doing this because of our 2nd straight loss, but even before the year I've been thinking about it. 1. I haven't ever been too fond of Olsen. I've always thought he was soft, and we never use him hardly except for little out patterns and all that crap. We have Davis who impressed me in the preseason and I think we could use him more efficiently and effectively. Plus, his 2 fumbles week 2 didn't help put my argument to rest. I'm sure we could get a 1st round pick for this guy. 2. Mark Anderson had an unreal rookie year with like 14 sacks. Ever since, he has like 4. I'm tired of watching this guy attempt to play the run and get to the QB. He has …
