I know this may be looking too far ahead, but: I'd love to get back on the road to Detroit and Atlanta being 3-1, but 2-2 wouldn't hurt. To be 2-1 going into that SNF game vs the Eagles would be great, and the crowd will be pumped up. Philadelphia is good, and it'll be tough. If we can be 2-2 after these next 2 games, we could be 4-2 after the next 2 because Detroit is bad and so is Atlanta. So, 4-2, coming home vs a pretty good team in Minnesota, maybe 4-3. Then, we get Detroit at home (5-3), then Tennessee at home, and that might be a 7-3 final score, but I think we'll pull it, especially if Vince Young is at the helm (6-3). We have a semi-e…

That was one of the dumbest friggin calls in the history of the Bears. 1) Forte was effective 2) McKie is not a good runner 3) The passing game was not effective 4) Everyone in the stadium knew the Bears were going to run What the hell? This game is all on the offense, specifically Ron Turner and Kyle Orton.

We are finally using Rashied. After all those times last week when we showed a possible end run we finally do run the end around and it works. The play calling is completely different from last year. Are we sure we still have the same coaches.

Is this guy ever going to show up? Is he hurt? I don't think he's getting constantly double teamed but I could be wrong. Harrison has more of an impact than Harris does at this point in time. I think I heard Tommie's name once in 2 games so far. Anybody else worried?

To be 2-0 coming home would be special...

  7. Started by GrizzlyBear,

My guess is Orton shines big in this game. Last week was a great confidence builder and he will use a lot of 3 step drops to get em to recievers. Both tight ends will shine because of the 3 step drops. Look for multiple TD's from them. Hester will break one on a recieveing play deep. It will have to happen to keep the D honest. I think Mckie will have a real tough game. His blocking will be key in the running game and I think he will get blown up. Babitch could have a real bad called game here. He will keep 7 in the box close but not close enough, if he doesnt call this game perfect we could be in for long day.

It's been one very quiet week on the board after all the Indy chat died down. Usually you see multiple posts about game plans or certain players needing to step up. IMO it appears nobody has a clue what to expect out of our team tomorrow although there is more excitement and optimism than before the Indy game. At least those are my feelings heading into Carolina. I'm not expecting as much of a running game tomorrow, at least it will be a lot tougher than we had it at Indy. On offense it seems to me we need our WR and TEs to step up and make plays in the passing game. They were pretty quiet against Indy. Are we still going with WR by committee? If Carol…

Watching the game last Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised with the play of Josh Beekman. I never saw him pancake anyone, but his performance was solid. The main things I noticed were his quick feet and vision.(particularly when pulling) He's not the road grader type I like, but I think he's going to be a long term player for us. If you asked me about him three weeks ago, I woulld have been indifferent.

NFL Power Rankings, Week 2 1 Last Week: 3 Dallas Cowboys (1-0) Yes, they displaced the Patriots. Fair's fair, and Dallas' methodical dismantling of the Browns was most impressive. I started putting a stopwatch on the time Tony Romo was given to pass. Many clockings of 3.0 or better, and a couple of 4's. Most impressive. 2 Last Week: 1 New England Patriots (1-0) Well, after all, they did win. At a terrible price. How did losing Tom Brady affect the Vegas odds on winning the Super Bowl? "There never has been an injury that's had such a dramatic effect on the odds," said Bodog's Sportsbook manager, Richard Gardner. Bodog, one of the major price sett…

www.rotoworld.com is the source Dolphins claimed OL Kirk Barton off waivers from the Bears. Third TE Sean Ryan will be waived later Thursday. Barton's skills are limited enough that he doesn't project as more than a swing-type reserve. Source: Chicago Sun Times Related: Bears Looks like we lost out on the Kirk Barton sweepstakes. He decided to take his chances on Miami's 53 man roster. Good luck Kirk, 2 years from nows when I see you on MNF as a starting RT i'll be a little po'd

Interesting... Not really Bears related but so topical I thought it really belongs on the main page. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3585348 No decision has been made. Wonder if we could see a Tuesday night game? If postponed deeper into the season, how do you score fantasy games this weekend? Crazy.

  14. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,1753860.story Stunning what has happened to this guy. He was on top of the world after beating the Trojans and winning the national title. Than in his rookie season he comes in and finds a way to lead his team to like 6 wins in 7 games. Now he's a complete mess and it looks like psychologically he's all messed up. It makes me wonder what would have happened to Young if he played in Chicago and had to deal with what Rex did. In fact, gives me a bit more of an appreciation for Rex. Rex clearly didn't make it as the QB we thought of, but he always had a good attitude and gave it his all and is again trying h…

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Chicago Bears (1-0) at Carolina Panthers (1-0) By Michael Nudo Jake Delhomme has returned to form (Getty Images). BEARS OFFENSEcolor> vs. PANTHERS DEFENSEcolor> The Bears welcomed back offensive tackle Fred Miller with a one year deal on Wednesday. He’ll provide valuable depth, especially since the Bears are carrying injured rookie Chris Williams on the active roster. John Tait has moved over to the right side and shows up on the report this week with a sore groin. The offensive line faces a different challenge from the Colts. The Panthers boast a gigantic defensive line, anchored by tackle Maake Kemoeatu, who checks in at …

After dominating the Colts in week 1, the Bears war room re-arranges its priorities. Here is my version of there draft board. My highest priorties are QB, RT, S and then G, WR. ROUND 1 - PICK 20 1-Cullen Harper QB Clemson - The Bears do need to address the QB position, so don't be suprised if they pull the trigger on Harper who can spend the 2009 season grooming behind Orton. Other considerations: Darius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland - The Bears would love to take the speedster at WR, but feel OL needs to be priortiy #1 until they are probowl caliber. There philoshy is to run the ball and Forte looks real good so far and by adding more quality to the fro…

It's strange but I think the football gods are with us this year. If you look around the NFL at teams we have to play strange things are going on with them. 1 Colts = Manning knee and was rusty from being hurt. 2. Panthers are without Smith for fighting. 3. Tampa Bay may start Greise against us because Garcia is hurt and having run ins with the coach. 4. Philly No real problems 5. Detroit has no defense 6. Atlanta has a new Rookie QB 7.Vikings Qb that can't make the important throws 8. Lions have no defense 9. Titians Vince is hurt and mom says he might not play football 10. Packers have a new QB 11. Rams No WR that can hurt you 12. Vikings Qb …
