So NFL.com has player rankings and gives each player a specific value. Their scale is 9.00-10 Once-in-lifetime player 8.00-8.99 Perennial All-Pro 7.50-7.99 Future All-Pro 7.00-7.49 Pro Bowl-caliber player 6.50-6.99 Chance to become Pro Bowl-caliber player 6.00-6.49 Should become instant starter etc These are their rankings of who the player is TODAY. So only five players in the draft are in the 7s, but there are players in the league who are int he 8s, and maybe even a 9 or two. (even though thats mathematically impossible LOL) Anyway, they have these player…

I've spent a lot of time hyping up Byron Pringle this off-season, but Mooney needs some love too. What makes a #1 WR in the NFL? How many are there? Last year Mooney was 15th in receiving yards among wide receivers(17th overall). He also was 6th in the league in creating separation. Mooneys best ability, imo, is his ability to get down field and create separation. With the OL being pretty blah last year I don't think we were able to utilize that ability all that well. Fields and Mooney have been working out together all off-season, and with an improved offensive line, giving him the ability to work down the field more, I could see …

Here is what I would like to happen in the draft.(not necessary what I think will happen) At 19-we trade down with Houston to 26 and get there 4th(4) and 5th(161). At 26-we pick Perry/DE logic-Houston wants a WR and Wright is still there at 19 and he played at Baylor. at 50- we pick Massie/LT fills a need and could become a starter if Webb fails later in year. at 79-we pick T. Johnson/CB- big with the potenial to start in first year. at 99-we pick A. J. Jenkins/WR- adds to our depth with speed and production. at 111-we pick Jaye Howard/DT- a rotation guy takes Okoyes place. at 150-we pick A. Allen/SS-depth with size and production at 161-we pick Mann…

I been hearing this crap from some posters that feel our scheme does not fit the players taken. Well let me be the first to inform you all. We have no idea what the scheme is!!! Tice in for Martz means quicker throws different line calls and audibles. Big difference from Martz. We also dont know what Marinelli has in store for the D. With no OTA's last year it put a crimp in what anyone could do. With Martz gone it makes for a real different offense on the field. So your criticisms are a moot point, You have no idea what our scheme is going to be anymore then I do.

Years past the Bears would win a meaningless game to screw up their draft position, the Bears would keep their HC and fire the assistants. ] Not this year, Bears lose, keep the 7th pick and George goes ahead and fires the GM and HC and may demote Ted Phillips!!!!! In the words of Ice Cube = Today is a good day!!!!!!!

Since the Bears arent going to make much of a big splash in FAgency, here my list to upgrade the roster. Dahl/OG-Atl Nasty attitude bodes well for our OL Light/OT-NE Older but could be a bridge to Carmi or Webb on left side . A two year deal Mebane/DT-Sea Ruskin knows well, has big upside Sims-Walker/WR/Jag bottom end of first tier WRs, could be big upgrade over current crop of wideouts Anderson/LB-Car starting to come into his own and still young Marshall/CB-Car He has good stats and can start on this team None of the above will come cheap but none will cost big money. Light is the only one with age.…

There are some early signs the offense is starting to come together. Anthony Miller is going to surprise a lot of people this season. I can include myself in that group as I wasn't that high on him in the draft process although the 2nd Rd seemed to be the right value for him. He's going to line up against other team's second or third best CB and that looks more and more like a huge advantage for the Bears. It also appears that Trubisky is starting to feel more confident in this new WR group considering all the tight window throws he completed today. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/postcard-bears-training-camp-allen-robinson-anthony-miller-mitch-trubis…

I really like George Pickens. Like everyone else, I have quite a few WRs I like in this draft. Yet in terms of the ability to go get the ball, where ever it is, I don't think there is a more QB friendly receiver in this draft. He has quick hands and despite tight coverage it's usually one touch and done. I know he's got some learning to do on his routes but that's why we pay our coaches a lot of money. He also doesn't have elite athleticism, at least as he ran at the combine which brings him down a notch from other WRs. He's already visited with the Chiefs and Packers so it seems interest in him is building, perhaps even toward late 1st early 2nd Rd. A lot of…

Bears | Pace tried to get Holt to sign Comment (0) Sat, 09 May 2009 06:30:32 -0700 Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears OT Orlando Pace said he tried until the last minute to get Jacksonville Jaguars WR Torry Holt to sign with the team while he was a free agent. "We were working on that for a while," Pace said of Holt. "But I think it's a good fit for him in Jacksonville. He wanted to be in warm weather." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bears | Interested in Toomer? Last year we were historically bad on defense for numerous reasons. Obviously injuries, scheme, new coaches, loss of Urlacher, all took their toll. However, just looking at a few guys who we let go this off season tells you how bad we actualy were. 1. James Anderson, started 16 games and was our leading tackler? He also had 4 sacks. However, he looked as lost as Bostic and Greene half the time and didn't have their speed to recover. He seemed out of position a lot. He is now a Nickel LB in NE. To me, he was a big reason why we couldn't stop the run. 2. Major Wright, started 15 games. He has been hot and cold his entire career, but last year he was ho…

I view Kromer as a straightforward guy who won't spin things. It was nice to hear him discuss the talent level of the offense and the improvement from last year to this year. He's not discussing the starters rather the depth on the roster specifically the Oline depth and TE options we have on the roster. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...27-f4c0766bf86e

ContactFeedsAdvertisingPrivacy PolicyFinal eight plan reduces Peppers' options by 25 percent Posted by Mike Florio on February 1, 2010 8:36 AM ET During two Radio Row segments in the 7:00 a.m. ET hour with our good friend Todd Wright of Sporting News Radio, Todd and I talked about the status of Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers. With the Panthers now snubbing Peppers and his agent, Peppers likely won't be slapped with the franchise tag again -- and thus he's destined to be an unrestricted free agent as of March 5. So he'll get a $100 million contract, like defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth finagled a year ago, right? Maybe not. Though it only …

I am going through ALL-22 view on NFL GamePass and holy crap the Officials let the Raiders get away with murder. If Leno is going to get called for holding like he has, yet the Raiders could do what they did on every play, we are screwed. I have no clue why the Raiders were not called more, especially when some of the holds were blatant and right at the point of attack. Also, the chop blocks are crazy. I am going to try to get a count of chop blocks for the game. 1st Quarter 1. 3rd and 1, FB runs for 3. Two different offensive linemen leave their feet and dive forward at the knees of defenders (RT and C) right in front of ball carrier. 2 chops. 2. Next play, 1st …
