http://www.nfl.com/freeagency/story?id=090...mp;confirm=true The only real pickup I see in this transaction is Robert Ferguson, he has a little potential to get some playing time.

This is a make or break game for the Bears. Win and playoff chances alive. Lose and it's over. It's that easy. Bears 20-16 in an ugly one.

Strength vs Strength. Minnesota Running Attack vs Chicago Run Defense. If Dalvin Cook goes over 100, we lose. If we can shutdown the run game, we have a great chance at creating turnovers. This is going to be an ugly game. I think it is going to be close and come down to a turnover or big special teams play. Bears 17-13.

Bears have a bunch of players injured and on C19 list. Minnesota leads the league in sacks but allows the 4th most yards (only behind NYJ, HOU, and SEA), and is in the bottom 8 in pts against. Bears are at home and Cousins is 3-9 in primetime on the road (last win at Soldier Field lol). The only positive is ARob, EJack, and Goldman are not playing. Those are additions by subtractions. Hopefully, Ifedi or Wilkenson can play at RT. This team is a mess, from the top to bottom. Hard to pick them to win in these conditions. I am just hoping for a solid game from Fields with no turnovers. Vikings 31-17

Here we go, I am so pumped for this game. The last 4 games have been so demoralizing watching Glennon. I know there will be some ups and downs, but I am excited to see the kid play. I just hope they don't do what they did in the last preseason game and run 10+ straight plays with Trubisky handing off to start the game. Instead, we need a bootleg or some movement where he only has to read half the field. The threat of him running and his mobility are going to give the receivers more room for intermediate routes. Those were taken away with Glennon behind center. GO BEARS! Bears 27 - Viqueens 17 The Trubisky Era starts with a win!

My Scouting Report: The Vikings are coming off a bye, so I looked back at their last 3 games to see anything that stood out. First, they went 2-1 beating the Lions 24-9, losing to the Saints 30-20, and beating the Jets 37-17. Diggs had a rib injury against the Saints, DNP against the Lions, then had the bye. In their most recent game against the Lions, Stafford went for 25/36 for 199, no TD's or INTs, but he was sacked 10 times. Protection is going to be huge. I would like to see some planned rollouts and screens to keep the pass rush honest. On offense, they got Dalvin Cook going with 10/89 yds with Thielen being the highest targeted receiver with 7. The offens…

Since it's a division rival I figured this mattered enough for its own thread.

Not talked about on this board at all is how Paea blew up Adrian Peterson on his sack of McNabb in the endzone. I saw it during the in=game reply and laughed. Paea doesn't even slow down or change direction and Peterson looks as if he doesn't know what hit him. Video is at this link: http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/BearDownoftheWeek.asp There were many good things to come out of the Vikings game, especially the work Hester did. However, finally seeing our 2nd rd pick contribute in this way gives me more hope for the rest of the season.

First I have to admit the free tequila shots at the bar made this game feel better than it was. Cutler: With another Oline combination in front of him against a strong pass rush threat he kept his composure and stayed within the game plan. Overall a good game with no turnovers. Oline: I think these guys were the cause of all the conservative play calls early in the game. With interior line of Omameh, Slauson, and Ducasse I believe Gase didn't want big mistakes early and allowed the Oline time to settle in and get a feel for the inside pressure the Vikings like to bring. Later on he opened up the play calling. RBs: Forte is still a good RB bu…

So this is old news, but hey it's the offseason. After the Vikings canned Childress they hired Bill Musgrave - the Falcons' QB coach - to be their offensive coordinator. I don't know how Musgrave is as an Xs and Os guy, but his track record developing QBs is seriously impressive. If history's any indicator, the Bears might have to watch out for the Vikings' QB (whoever it is) in 2011. Check out the QBs Musgrave has worked with: 1997 (Raiders) - got Jeff George to throw for over 3,900 yards, 29 TDs, 9 picks, 91.2 QB rating. 1999-2000 (Panthers) - got Steve Beuerlein to throw for over 4,400 yards, 36 TDs, 15 picks, 94.6 QB rating in 1999. Beuerlein made the Pr…

Damn, Singletary as a Linebackers coach, and McDaniels possibly as the OC. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Mc...?urn=nfl-304558

It looks like Kwesi is quietly going into tank mode. They shed Thielen, Kendricks, Peterson, Z. Smith, and Cook, but kept Cousins. They drafted Addison in the 1st, who will just replace Thielen's production, so there is no real gain there. They signed Murphy at CB and Davenport at Edge, but at most those are a push, if not a downgrade from Smith (sacks leader) and Peterson. With Cook gone, their RB room is Mattison, rookie Dwayne McBride, Ty Chandler, and Kene Nwangwu. That may be the worst RB room in the NFL. Jefferson is their entire offense now, their defense is worse, they still have Cousins, and they won a lot of close games last year. They fee…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5277672.story I thought there was a good chance he'd sign with the Queens...If they don't want him then I don't see him getting a job anywhere to start the season.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3996780 Vikings sign Holt, PaymahComment Email Print Share Associated Press EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have signed free-agent wide receiver and kick returner Glenn Holt and unrestricted free-agent cornerback Karl Paymah.
