I been hearing this crap from some posters that feel our scheme does not fit the players taken. Well let me be the first to inform you all. We have no idea what the scheme is!!! Tice in for Martz means quicker throws different line calls and audibles. Big difference from Martz. We also dont know what Marinelli has in store for the D. With no OTA's last year it put a crimp in what anyone could do. With Martz gone it makes for a real different offense on the field. So your criticisms are a moot point, You have no idea what our scheme is going to be anymore then I do.

OK! Here's a purely optimistic scenario I probably don't believe in myself, but it COULD be true. With a large grain of salt... McCaskey sucks. That's why they hired Warren. Warren has been BIG 10 commissioner, and worked for the Vikings, knows a lot about football organizations, and has a lot of football contacts. People knew that McCaskey wasnt getting it done, so he got mostly fired and Warren was brought in to do a lot of what McCaskey used to do. When Warren got here, he gave Poles leeway and let him make moves. And Poles made bad choices, while Warren gathered power and influence. Now Warren is ready to start making his first moves. He deosnt deserve …

There is some Bears related info in here but overall the article, for those who actively follow the draft, is interesting. Gruden is starting his downward spiral earlier than in past coaching jobs. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2773921-matt-millers-scouting-notebook-how-the-draft-really-went-down-what-it-means

I came across this while doing some draft research. https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/david-montgomery-contract-chicago-bears I've already said I'm in favor or re-signing him and keeping him around while Fields' develops. However, as in that article, there is a good argument to be made about how difficult it can be to get value out of a RB on an expensive 2nd contract. With that in mind IF your decision as GM is to... 1) Let him ride out his existing deal (play next year) and then let him go seeking a potential comp pick in exchange 2) Herbert is good enough to your starter .... should we trade Montgomery this offseason? A good RB a…

Since the Bears arent going to make much of a big splash in FAgency, here my list to upgrade the roster. Dahl/OG-Atl Nasty attitude bodes well for our OL Light/OT-NE Older but could be a bridge to Carmi or Webb on left side . A two year deal Mebane/DT-Sea Ruskin knows well, has big upside Sims-Walker/WR/Jag bottom end of first tier WRs, could be big upgrade over current crop of wideouts Anderson/LB-Car starting to come into his own and still young Marshall/CB-Car He has good stats and can start on this team None of the above will come cheap but none will cost big money. Light is the only one with age.…

By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 2/1/2010 12:12 AM LAKE FOREST, Ill. – New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz loves the passing game, but he isn’t married to it. Known for his penchant to throw the ball in stints with the Rams, Lions and 49ers, Martz wants to operate an offense in Chicago that is capable of excelling both on the ground and in the air. Lovie Smith chats with Mike Martz following a 2005 preseason game between the Bears and Rams. “You do whatever it takes to win,” Martz said during a conference call with the media. “Some weeks you’re going to run it pretty good. The next week you’re going to throw pretty good. But it’s about winning.…

Hey guys. Do to my pesky need for a job, I had to move from Chicago to southwestern Connecticut/NYC area. I just found out I can't get DirectTV installed in my apartment. Anyone know of any bars in the greater NYC area that cater to Bears fans on Sunday, like a Bears fan club or something?

Sorry, I haven't been on in a long while. I've been taking a break from a lot of on-line stuff, and also trying to balance my fandom of this confusing team. I'm going to bounce in and chime in every now and then. You are a bunch of great folk people here, and I miss the discussion. Forgive me, as I've toned down my passion in order to decrease stress in my life that is unneeded. So, my takes will be a little less angry or happy. I'm trying to approach fandom like Mr. Spock. Can't help that I'm a Bears fan (his human side), it's in the blood. But, I will try an approach it logically. Bear with me... All pun intended. Cheers!

Bears | Pace tried to get Holt to sign Comment (0) Sat, 09 May 2009 06:30:32 -0700 Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears OT Orlando Pace said he tried until the last minute to get Jacksonville Jaguars WR Torry Holt to sign with the team while he was a free agent. "We were working on that for a while," Pace said of Holt. "But I think it's a good fit for him in Jacksonville. He wanted to be in warm weather." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bears | Interested in Toomer?
