The Chicago Bears signed guard/center Andre Gurode on Tuesday after waiving defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, the team announced. The Bears lost guard Lance Louis for the season with a knee injury after a hit from the Minnesota Vikings' Jared Allen on Sunday. The Bears also signed offensive lineman Derek Dennis and receiver Dale Moss to the practice squad. The Bears also worked out linebacker Aaron Curry

As long as we have Bostic and SMC (and Fuller) out there to cover the TEs I think the D can do enough to keep the scoring within range of what our offense should do. And what our offense should do is run the football. Lovie needs to sit some players at the start of a game for a couple of series or a half. Omaliye,Forte,Harris for example. Lovie is their coach first, not friend first, who cares what they think.You cannot tell me Vasher did not want to prove something after being benched, and he did with a little luck but I know he was pumped when he was sent in. Jones hopes to hear from Bears Wed, 11 Jun 2008 09:59:54 -0700 Vaughn McClure, of The Chicago Tribune, reports free-agent RB Kevin Jones (Lions) hopes to hear from the Chicago Bears, according to a source close to Jones. If we signed Jones this would be a good one two punch for the Bears and their running game. Granted Jones is not the fastest back, but he is a hard runner between the tackes and can save on the wear and tear on Forte.

So the Browns signed J. Campbell and will soon depart with Colt McCoy. Do you see him as a backup for the Bears? If not then who would be the best fit?

With the projected cap in 2022, it would be wise to extend ARob and Roquan now. Locked them both up long term, ARob is still only 27 and it is better to extend Roquan before he is an All-Pro selection. Thoughts?

I dont know about you guys but for me cutting R Davis and moving Bennet to his spot is a no brainer. Then you go and get Vincent Jackson and put him and DA on the outside WR spot and Hester,Knox and Bennett in the slot. We then shorten the 7 step drops to 3 with quick passes to the speedsters and make the D move back(as in the Dallas game). We then use our screen game!! We need a big WR for Cutler to throw to other than Olsen period!!!!! Moss, Jackson, anybody.

This new guy #19 should be on the field soon if the Bears are smart. But, let's take a look at how Sunday night's game will affect the NFC North standings. Now, if Chicago wins, the Vikings are in BIG trouble, as not only would Chicago have a one-game lead over the Purple, but they also will have swept the season series from the Vikings as well, meaning any tie between the two teams would go to Chicago. That would be a huge advantage for Da Bears, and would put a significant dent into any hopes that the Vikings would have of winning the NFC North.
