Interestingly he seems a little concerned about the saftey position, but that the draft is kinda weak for it. A Bears spokesman said the league will use its television station as a platform to release the schedule at 1 p.m. The Bears know they open the season Sept. 7 against the Indianapolis Colts in the first regular-season game at Lucas Oil Stadium. A copy and paste from another thread. I want to start a discussion on Garrett Wolfe. I think that Wolfe can be a solid contributor, and much more than a third-down back. Honestly, I don't see why everyone is so ready to quit on a guy who did nothing but look better than Benson and Peterson during his limited touches last year. I don't see why he can't produce like Warrick Dunn has produced throughout his career. If anything, having a smaller, shiftier RB is a better option behind a line that opens up massive holes for DTs and DEs. QB's have fallen in the past, what if he drops down to us? Do you want angelo to take him? Is he a franchise QB? I have this vision of ryan available and angelo having another david terrel moment, not really being prepared for the scenario.

It's been awhile! I had to take some time off from any kind of Bearstalk. I was so frustrated with Bears management and CO. last year that I had to recharge my batteries. I missed some members, especially the old guards of BearsTalk. I hope they are still here and active in this forum. I do have some reservations on this up comming season. We all know that they need quality starting players on offense and a couple on defense. But their coaching staff is in need of repair also. From the sound of it, negotiations are picking up. The Sun Times is reporting Harris' camp has received a new offer from the Bears. Harris was supposed to meet w/ Rosenarce to discuss the offer. This is the draft following the 2005-2006 season. To set the scene, the Bears had just finished with the best defense in the NFL with only 12.6 points allowed per game. They were also 2nd best in total yards allowed per game and 11th in rush and 5th in passing yards allowed. The Bears had the 2nd most int's of any team that year.
