Undrafted FA in 2011 out of Humboldt State (where) formerly of Jets who has not appeared in a regular season game. Probably just another guy, but at least the Bears are getting bodies to back up nearly every position. Led the blocking for HSU's running game, which accumulated a GNAC-best 2,239 yards. He also anchored a unit that ranked fifth overall among NCAA Division II programs for least quarterback sacks allowed, surrendering only eight in 11 games. Boggs has twice been honored as a Strength and Conditioning All-American. 2nd Team JB Scouting All-American; 1st team All Super Region 4; GNAC offensive Lineman of the year; 1st team unanimous all GNAC team; 2nd team…

According to NFL.com, the Bears have signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Here is hoping he can give us a boost over the pedestrian efforts of our current DBs. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson signing is a reunion to help save Bears’ injured secondary

Another veteran with starting experience signed to a 1-year deal, though he hasn't been very good since his Super Bowl heroics. Hopefully one younger guys beats him out (Bryce Callahan, Jacoby Glenn, Demontre Hurst, Al Louis-Jean), but provides some decent insurance.

He was run game coordinator under Carrol in Seattle, and worked with Waldron there. The staff is filling out really nicely! And unlike the first wave of hires, these people all had a specific connection to Waldron, so the chemistry is known already. Hopefully Morton has the juice to make Waldron run the ball more than he did previously. If Waldron can adapt, and there's no reason to doubt that, and get a fully dimensional and modern offense in Chicago, then we will be on our way up the ladder, with a whole Waldron tree waiting in the wings ready to move up if Waldron is hired away as a HC, or if he is promoted to our HC some time. That is one developing insuranc…

  14. Bears sign DE Al-Quadin Muhammad to 2yr 10M deal (per Schefter). He played DE for Colts last season. Seems like a solid signing.

  15. So the Bears have re-signed CB Marcus Cooper and long snapper Patrick Scales. I think we will probably see 2 OL and at least one pick on the defensive front seven in our first four picks. We could use another body at safety and WR, but the front seven and the OL are the obvious places that still need upgrades. I wouldn't be shocked to see us take 3 OL if you include the 5th round or later.

  16. ...couldn't resist. April fools...

  17. Reports are he is one of their primary focuses (vs. Saquon). I know the name is less sexy but this would be a really good get. He's still young and he's a really good football player. With rookie QB, Bears can afford to splurge a bit at RB (and it saves them from having to use another draft pick on the position in a draft where they don't have a ton of picks).

  20. https://twitter.com/djdurkin/status/849795275996704768 Dan Durkin reports that the Bears have signed BW Webb DB to a one year contract. Another vet CB in the mix. Tells me they may hold off on drafting a CB at least early.
