SF at 5-7 is favored by 3.5 pts at home. They are playing after a SUN Night game in the snow in BUF, while the Bears are coming off their mini bye at Thanksgiving. SF has lost 3 straight and have been outscored 73-20 in their last two games. McCaffrey looks to be out for the year, so it will be interesting to see how they respond. With the Bears, it will all come down to how the team responds to Brown as the HC. The talent is there as they have been in every game this year outside of the ARZ game. Rotoworld has us ranked 29th among Oline going into 2012. Profootbalfocus has us ranked 31st amony Olines going into 2012. Football Outsiders has us ranked 24th. At least I see the national ranking follow our expectations on this website. I can see us being better, but the LT spot will still be a problem. I think we run a lot of 2 TE formation to help on the line blocking, and quick patterns, but I still remain worried the Oline can have a major negative effect on our Offensive production.

This dude threw for 159 TDs and 16,958 yards in college. Regardless of the school and competition, that is a TON of live reps. No wonder he looks so comfortable in the pocket. Fields has all the tools needed to be a franchise QB, he just needs the live reps. The one thing I notice about Fields, and maybe I am wrong, but it almost looks like he tries to be too calm in the pocket, almost like a forced calmness that slows him down too much. I went to the 2nd practice and I thought Cutler looked like Robbie Gould. This concerned me. He says it was to imrpove his mobility, except he was pretty damn mobile to begin with and Martz doesn't want his QB's leaving the pocket. So why did he slim down? Meanwhile the media is saying Cutler looks great and worked hard to slim down. The thing is, to me Cutler always looked like a big strong athlete who could take a beating and get up. I know that if we cut Tait, we'd gain around $7 million. I know that if we cut Ogunleye, we'd gain around $4 million. I know that if we cut Vasher, we'd lose around $7 million. But what if we traded Ogunleye or Vasher? Would we have to trade for another high priced guy, or what? Let's say we sent Vasher to Oakland for a 5th round pick- do we still have to pay his contract?

Ryan Clady ran a 5.18 forty and posted a 31" vertical at the Boise State Pro Day. Clady tweaked his pectorals on the bench press at the Combine and was unable to do the rest of his drills. JaMarcus Webb is better than Chris Williams. The ceiling vs floor argument should be over, as Williams floor at LT is immensly low. He doesn't have the quickness, power or leverage to sustain blocks. Sure, he makes less mistakes than Webb, but it's not enough to overcome his shortcomings. Webb wins by default. That being said, we are in desparate need of an LG. The Raiders just got gashed by Marcus Mariota. WAS sacked Geno Smith 5 times, and they had a punt return for a TD. On defense LVR is closer to DAL than MIN or DET. LVR has fewer QB Pressures than DAL. I feel like this is a high 20s to low 20s type of game, like Bears 28-20. The Bears have to get to 2-2 going into the early bye. For the Raiders, this is not as much of a must-win for them.
