Last night on MNF they showed a stat on teams with the highest winning % since 2005. The Giants and the Bears were basically tied at the top of that list!! the Bears had one more loss than the Giants but the same amount of wins. What the Bears did not have is a damn Super bowl win! take that for what it is worth I guess but Lovie and this crew have been getting the Bears winning seasons.

Bears work out Tony Moeaki, other tight ends Posted by Josh Alper on June 9, 2016, 3:23 PM EDT ATLANTA, GA - JANUARY 03: Tony Moeaki #81 of the Atlanta Falcons runs after a catch during the first half against the New Orleans Saints at the Georgia Dome on January 3, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) Getty Images The Bears traded Martellus Bennett to the Patriots this offseason, leaving them with Zach Miller at the top of the depth chart and a slew of players vying for backup roles on this year’s roster. They appear to be considering another addition to that latter group. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the team …

Not expected to sign him, at least not yet. Expected to wait on making a move on wideouts until after the first preseason game on Friday. If Holmes was healthy, I would be on board with the move.

per Schefter: Former Falcons, Rams and Dolphins OT Jake Long is working out today for the Chicago Bears, per source. Somewhat surprising considering we cut Slauson. I guess we are content with interior line but are still looking for outside help.

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/...go-bears-friday Jason's sure to love this...I personally don't mind it at all, I believe we could use an upgrade over McCown so it's worth a shot to see if Russell can be that guy. Article says the workout will be with 3 other QBs....Wonder who they are?

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0311-story.html "The Bears also are being proactive on the pre-draft front. A source said they put Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland through a private workout on Friday. " Seems like we have some serious interest. Now the question is who from the team attended that workout?

He was released by the Giants from injured reserve but it would appear he may be healthy considering he was out doing workouts. If he is indeed healthy he could be a huge addition to help with return duties.

  15. Ted Phillips told the Sun-Times that the Bears would be on board with opening their books to the players' union, if that's what it takes to get a CBA done. He basically said they have nothing to hide and would be happy to go along with turning over their financials. They're the second team, after the Broncos, to say they'd do this. I haven't always been Ted's biggest fan, but this is a great thing to put out there. If we're ever going to get a new CBA in place, the owners are going to HAVE to cave on this issue. Before the lockout/decertification, the two sides came incredibly close (within $300 million, by some accounts) in money terms, but the owners' refusal t…

  17. While catching a glimpse of the MNF game were TO look very good I ponder the following: If someone would have told me at the end of last season that the Bears could have an opportunuity to get both TO and Moss on the roster this season I would of said no way. But that is exactly what JA could have done this season. TO is having a very strong year and Randy has been productive as well. Too bad JA did not go and get these guys when they were available. Because JA would then only really need to focus on solidifying the OL in the next draft and some additional depth at CB, DT, DE etc. But JA decided to be more riske and rely on young and inexpierenc…

  18. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/...5-million-deal/ Report: Bears, Mike Glennon to sign three-year, $43.5 million deal Posted by Michael David Smith on March 9, 2017, 7:37 AM EST Getty Images The Bears and Mike Glennon appear to be on the verge of a deal that will make Glennon the team’s starting quarterback, at a salary that sounds like a lot but is lower than most starting quarterbacks make. Glennon is expected to get a three-year deal with an annual average of $14.5 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That puts Glennon’s total deal at $43.5 million, although there’s no word on how much of that is guaranteed and no other details abo…

As I'm a bit bored speculating on the draft at the moment, I thought it might be fun to start a thread...and eventually get a consesnus on an All time Bears Roster. If you would so indulge me, I think only listing the starters at the below positions would be necessary. I'd love to get the player's name and why you feel he's the one. Feel free to list one's that were honerable mentions, but you can only vote for one per se... I figure I can set up a poll for any that aren't clear cut winners. Here's the listing O-D-ST. I'll list my picks a bit later... The only rule is that the player had to be a starter on the Bears for at least a season... We will assume he's…

  20. http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_...thorne/10285789 Earlier today we reported that the New York Jets might be interested in safety LaRon Landry who’ll hit the free agent market this week. Now according to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears also appear to be interested in Landry as well. Both teams need an upgrade at the safety position, and might be able to get Landry at a good price, since he hasn’t played a full regular season since 2008. Cole also stated that the Redskins want Landry back, which is a bit of shock since I’ve been hearing they’re ready to move on from him.
