He was released by the Giants from injured reserve but it would appear he may be healthy considering he was out doing workouts. If he is indeed healthy he could be a huge addition to help with return duties.

Ted Phillips told the Sun-Times that the Bears would be on board with opening their books to the players' union, if that's what it takes to get a CBA done. He basically said they have nothing to hide and would be happy to go along with turning over their financials. They're the second team, after the Broncos, to say they'd do this. While catching a glimpse of the MNF game were TO look very good I ponder the following: If someone would have told me at the end of last season that the Bears could have an opportunuity to get both TO and Moss on the roster this season I would of said no way. But that is exactly what JA could have done this season. TO is having a very strong year and Randy has been productive as well. Too bad JA did not go and get these guys when they were available. Now according to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears also appear to be interested in Landry as well. Both teams need an upgrade at the safety position, and might be able to get Landry at a good price, since he hasn’t played a full regular season since 2008. Linemen get assessed 0.5 either for allowing an assisted sack on a solo block or allowing a solo sack as half of a double-team block. Thought this was an interesting read especially for those of us who follow the draft closely. OTOH this does explain a lot of the head-scratching picks Emery made because I now i know he was too focused on the "athlete" and draft position and not enough on the performance on the field. There is a place for analytics but I like the fact Pace puts more emphasis on what he sees on the field. Bears' Dvoracek finally fit for duty I am a huge Dusty fan and am anxious to see him back on the field tonight. This guy, if he can remain healthy, along with Harrison & Idonoje, will give us the best defensive tackle rotation in the NFL, PERIOD, no questions asked.

Every time I read one of Larry Mayer's pieces on the officials site I get irritated. If there were ever a bigger brown nose I've yet to see it. This guy thinks everything is great all the time, thinks there are no holes on the team, and whenever possible chooses his words in such a way as to give the staff and management a way to weasel out. So, it got me to thinking about other Chicago journalists, and I know a lot of people don't like Mariotti, but which one do you hate reading?

Hell, they ranked Mike Singletary #14 and he has not been HC for a full season. Sean Payton is #6? He is 26-24 in 3 seasons with 1 playoff win? Several HCs ranked above him have 1 year of experience. I am not sure where I would rank him (Lovie) but based on his record over the years I agree with the writer on the Tribune that he should be somewhere in the top 10.

This to me is a bigger concern, more important to the Bears success this year, than David Hester trying to strike it rich. I will be looking more at this and the development of the offense as a result than David "I am mad and I want my money now" Hester. Bears' season on the line
