I wanted to get other fan's opinions on this topic because I am stuck in between on this one. On one hand, if Cutler and Forte don't get hurt, IMO they finish 12-4 with an outside shot at beating GB in Lambeau to finish 13-3. That would suggest that they are right there and only need a few tweaks to get there, mainly a #1 WR and a LT. OTOH, the Bears defense is aging with all of their stars on the wrong side of 30, and on offense, Cutler is going to be 29 this season, so he probably has 4-6 years left of being a reliable option before his skills start to erode. I know I've been absent from the board for most of the season but work had called. I still have been fuming over what transpired the last 2 months or so. Here are the Top-10 things that need to happen prior to 2012 if we have any hope: 1. Jerry Angelo needs to go before the draft. If McCaskey want's to make a name for himself on this team, this must be done. JA has pissed draft after draft away and they can't afford to let him shyt the bed again. JA has neglected to get a decent second string. He hasn't taken into account injuries occur or people won't pan out. 2. Martz and his offense need to go. After seeing today's games, it is evident that they should wait until the season is completely finished before voting. If you think about it, there is no reason to do it with 2+ games remaining with the Pro Bowl being played AFTER the Super Bowl. Urlacher would almost be a guarantee after his last two games: 8 tackles, 1 Fumble Recovery, 2 Sacks, 2 Interceptions, 2 Passes Defended, and a Touchdown. He is now the only player in the league with 4 or more Sacks and Interceptions.

There are 4 highlight videos on youtube, 1 for each day of camp ( is the first), and 4 commentary videos by the guy who taped the highlights. The highlight videos should be checked out by everyone on the board, very good quality and truly worth it. The commentary is pretty cool too since it gives a first hand account from a guy who was watching it live. The videos show several nice passes from Rex and Kyle. Benett, R.Davis, K. Davis, and Hass had some very nice catches too. The stuff that didn't make the highlights is what we need to rely on the director for. Potential Wilson replacements have been underwhelming, so worth a shot IMO. If he can stay healthy (and out of trouble) he's just what they need.

I think all the OL people we would draft will be gone. I think we would like to draft Austin and he will be gone. I think the players that drop down to us will be DE/DT types, but I think Trufant is ranked right around our pick in the big boards I have been looking at and think he will be our pick. This is not the player, I would like, that would be Ogletree at this stage but, think with his off field problems, we let him slide.There is a real good chance we move down but for sake of this thread, we pick Turfant/CB.

I will assume that they sign a WR in the FAgency as there are many out there, and maybe a OLineman. Ideally Sidney Rice and maybe Deuce Lutui, guard from the Cardinials. Rice is young would be perfect for Cutler. Lutui had a excellent year in 2009 and sucked in 2010. Hes 28 and could come reasonable. We have talent....just enough to win a few games and make it back into the playoffs again. But the main thing I see wrong with this team is the coaching. Now the defense is ok and will do just what they do if we stay healthy, and with Brown/Dvoraecek/Payne back and with the additions of Harrison,Steltz,Bowman,Toeaina and a few others, but the offense is another story. I am getting sick of the media mentioning how many targets Marshall had last year, and how Cutler was zeroing in on him compared to other QB's. So what about Stafford to Johnson or Luck to Wayne, who had as many targets as Marshall? I rarely hear those two QB's mentioned. Andre Johnson, AJ Green, Larry Fitzgerald, Stevie Johnson, and Victor Cruz all had a high percentage of their teams targets, yet none of them seem to have the negative stigma put on them about being targeted too much. Wells was a 6th round pick in this years draft. Pats are a pretty good drafting team. Wells is freak athlete who, if coached up properly, could be a guy. Runs a 4.4. Came from a damn good Mississippi St. D. Kinda liked Groy, and the move comes with a little surprise after an Ola injury. Guess they still have Leno, Fab, and Grasu/Montgomery as backups (along with Ola when he returns).
