Cedric's lawyers are currently gathering game-film of the 2007 season as evidence to how easy he is to subdue. The cops must be Longhorn fans who remember the days when he didn't drop so easily.

Any info? I read some post from another forum that the score reported today that benson's injury is worse than everyone thought and that his career with the bears is over and it will be announced publically in a few days? Is this true? If it is, do they bring in some vet with experience. I think forte will be a good back, but we can't possibly try going into the season with no experience at all can we? I'd make a trade like a 6th rd pick in next years draft for lamont jordan, or try for alexander if he's affordable.

Just curious. I feel it nearly serves as evidence in the boating case, proving a pattern of poor judgement, but I'm curious to see what others think. Has it changed your opinion?

Benson's lawyer, Sam Basset, was just on Chicago Tribune Live and said he has spoken to law enforcement officials and people in the DA's office and all of them say Benson looks fine in the video of the field sobriety test. He also says it is confirmed Benson could be heard on the tape saying he wanted to take a blood test and the officer responding "well I'm offering you a breath test". Mr. Basset said the law in Texas allows the driver to take either the breath or the blood test and that the blood test is considered more accurate. The surgery Cedric Benson underwent to repair his fractured ankle required a small plate to hold the bone together. A source told the Chicago Sun Times that the plate and surgery "may cost him a step." Really, how much slower could he be? Benson can trigger a $1.73 million bonus by rushing for 701 yards in 2008, but probably won't get there. The Bears seem likely to find a new starting back this offseason.

In watching past games with the Bears against the Saints Bentley looked very good. Now I don't know how good he is after being injuried but he was good in the past. This brings me to our Oline. Can he play guard? Yes he can. But the qustion is do we need him? We drafted Adams and we have Garza, Metcalf Beekman,Balogh, Barton and Oakley in the roster. After watching last years line I still think Garza is weak on the right side at RG, Metcalf look better playing on the right side than the left and we don't know what we have in the other players. Anytime, football season, I'm working or doing anything around the house I listen to the score. In Rockford it comes in much better than ESPN. I've listened from the beginning of their existence and liked some DJs and disliked a few . Bernstein is a smart guy but would always talk down to people, think he's smarter than everyone else and was an a**hole a lot. I am happy he's gone. I used to be on his Twitter account and would call him out when he was a jerk. He finally blocked me. He always wanted to interject politics into his sports world. For me, I always used sports for my escape from normal reality. If you live woke, you die woke. It happened to him.

Evidently they already have some offers but are working hard to maximize and get more in return. I've said it before and I'll say again, he'll be gone and we'll get more than we expected for him. There is zero QB market out there and it is a weaker QB draft (that said, Its all a freaking crapshoot anyway when it comes to QB's, imo).

Does anybody know: 1. What the highest pick we can get? 2. What are the boundaries for him in terms of what range of yards/touchdowns/catches he has to get and what pick we get for that?

Free agent Bernard Berrian is reportedly en route to Oakland. The Vikings couldn't get him signed immediately, not that they're entirely out of the running. Berrian is the deep threat big-armed JaMarcus Russell needs and Al Davis has tons of cap room, even after the Tommy Kelly signing.

As per the SCORE, Bernard Berrian is NOT going to Oakland, and is staying in Minnesota for at least one more night.
