With all the discussion lately around BPA vs. needs I'm curious to see what everyone views our top needs are heading into the draft. I tried to include all positions so this can be as objective as possible. In other words ILB is still listed even though we just spent $10mil to fix it. Even though I listed top 3 needs, if we get enough people to vote then from a statistics view point we should we will be able to identify and rank our top 5 needs. To do that I'll give every 1st place vote 10 points, every 2nd place vote 5 points, and every 3rd place 3 points.

Once he got the rust knocked off, Barkley looked pretty damn good. I think he is definitely in contention next year...provided he doesn't totally blow up before the seasons over. Now the receivers... Nother story.

As always with Fox you have to read between the lines but without the resolute denial we've had in the past it seems clear Trubisky is moving up the depth chart. I still don't think Trubisky is ready to be our starter week 1 he's definitely ready to see better competition and have better players on his side. 1. Cutler was terrific. It's amazing what he can do with more time to throw. 2. Hester was awesome. Not really ESPN breaking news stuff. More speculation but thought it was worth bringing up. His only year that he was productive was with Cutler when he caught 91 passes for 980 yards. I don't see how it couldn't hurt to offer up a 7th round draft pick for the guy. I'd rather us go aggressively after Brandon Marshall but Eddie Royal would be an okay move imo. Thoughts?

I wonder what the Bears are really thinking for a line-up next year. Lovie recently said that he could see Chris Williams at any position on the line but center and even hinted that they thought Carimi might get a shot at LT if Webb struggled (http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/03/lovie_smith_casts_support_for_.html).

Would anyone be interested in trading down? They could get a lower 1st, still get Nick Perry, and add a 3rd. Thoughts?
