It's only disappointing because it took so long! Had we said no at the get go, no one would be that disappointed I feel. When you have weeks to mull over the whole thing, it allows many storylines to start germinating. I personally was hoping we'd sign him, but I'm not that disappointed. He had potential. But, maybe we have another set of guys we hope can play, and Pace is eyeing someone more reliable in FA. Or maybe, he sees a draft prospect he really wants. Compared to last year...we are simply significantly stronger at the receiving position Cam or no Cam.

So far, Howard has been anything but "meh". Let's not rid ourselves of every star player on the team to find ourselves needing another replacement. Howard is a high character guy and is neither old nor unhappy in Chicago. Let's leave this be please...

I don't really like getting Guards, DT's, S, or Centers with a top 10 pick. There are exceptions, and maybe this guy is. My hope, like yours, is trade down and get more picks...we have too many holes.
