LOL. I noticed that also, almost choked when he posted that and I read it. The problem I see is that if you are going to talk smack and throw spears at other posters, you have to be willing to accept it in return. TerraTor loves to dish it out, but becomes very defensive when the tables are turned. It is also ok to have negative feelings, doubts, about the Bears. Not everyone looks at the team with the "glass half full" approach. Some look at it with the "glass half empty" approach. I guess it is depending on your outlook on life in general among other factors. However, TerraTor looks at the team with the "glass totally empty, broken, and thrown in the garbage" approach. Then when there is something really positive going on he forgets what he has been spewing out and finds "my boy, Johnny Knox". LOL.

You can thank me. LOL I have McNabb as my QB in the 2 FFLs I am playing in. He is out. I have A Gonzalez in both leagues, he's out. I have Wes Welker in a league, he missed this week. I picked up Hasselbeck to replace McNabb, see, I told you you couldthank me.

There were a few wondering why Urlacher could not play with a cast, like we have seen some other players do with certain injuries. I found the article linked below very informative and was definitely worth reading. Urlacher Praises Bears' Medical Team

A few thoughts from the old man of the forum.... During preseason there was talk from some posters saying Knox would not make the roster and maybe we can put him on the PS. I think it is quite obvious to all that did not believe in this kid that he is the real deal. Tremendous speed, good hands, & gutsy. I look forward to see his continued development. There was also posters saying we should cut K Davis, we could not keep 4 TEs, Davis was the odd man out, he had not proved he was NFL worthy. He did have one drop today, but he made a lot of great catches in traffic and looked excellent today. I also look forward to see his continued development. Cutler stepped up big time today. He played smart. He knew when to take a sack and when to throw it away. He had outstanding pocket presence and should be a thrill to watch during the next decade in Chicago. Thanks Denver! I would not worry too much about Forte at this point. We have faced 2 tough 3-4 defenses in the last 2 games. Let's see what he does against Seattle. Gore totally trashed them this week. My money is on Forte breaking out next week. If he doesn't, then maybe I will get a bit concerned. Does anyone know the extent of Alex Brown's injury? We sure do not need anyone else on D on the sidelines.

I go one step further, we win the coin toss, Knox takes it to the house! (Bit I would be more than happy to accept your scenerio ;-) )

I heard that D Manning will start at FS D Manning will move to Nickle in that situation with KP relieving him in the nickle package Omiyale will start at LOG but Beekman will be in the wings if he has trouble Clark is definately out (I want to see K Davis get a shot!) D Manning may not return KOs do to the added duty at FS Good chance we will see Johnny Knox return KOs.

Exactly right. You can have a "simple fracture" and have no damage to tendons, muscles, cartilage, etc... In some dislocations there is a lot of damage done. The fact he had surgery Monday morning after playing Sunday Night tells me it must have been serious. Usually they do not operate that quick.

From KFFL I also continue to hear we are interest in D Brooks.

Is J Williams back healthy? He is Briggs Backup. Hilly has played MLB when Url missed time. I would prefer to see Briggs at MLB than Hilly. From: Jason La Canfora, NFL Network

The defense looked great last night IMO. Yes, Vasher needs to take a backup role, and I am sure Lovie knew this (before last nights game) and once Tillman & Bowman are ready 100%, my guess is Vasher is demoted. Let's wait and see how it pans out before we jump the ship.

I wonder if J Williams can play MLB? He was having an outstanding preseason. Does he have the tools to play MLB?

As usual, GREAT WORK Noots!

Must-Read Article with Urlacher Quotes One of the better articles I have read with quotes from Urlacher. Let's face it, he has never been a good interview, he will never be a color analyst on Fox, or teach Speech at a college. However, he comes off excellent in this piece.

NFL Reporting Bears trying for FA DE Kevin Carter
Pixote replied to GrizzlyBear's topic in Bearstalk
I can not remember seeing him play (I am sure I have many times, but memory does not serve me well here). If he were to play DT in our system would he be a 3 technique? If so maybe they are picking him up to hedge against injury with Harris? -
Because of the turmoil at work (major changes taking place due to the economy) and increased responsibilities in my personal life (kids are having problems making ends meet and some have moved in with me to weather the economic storm) I decided it necessary to cut back on one of my major enjoyments, fantasy football. Last year I was commish for 4 BearsTalk Leagues and participated in a 5th at work. This year I am only playing in 2 and will not assume the commish duties of either one. I have lost track but I think it has been either been 6 or 7 years I have run Pick'ems for the forums. Unfortunately, as I posted earlier, I will not be able to afford the time or money to do so this year. I sincerely apologize to all and hope that by this time next year my situation will allow me to resurrect the contests for TalkBears' posters.

Cheesehead School teacher A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Cheesehead. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Cheeseheads too. No one really knowing what a Cheesehead was, but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like flashy fireworks. There is, however, one exception. A girl named Kristen who has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. “Because I’m not a Cheesehead.” “Then”, asks the teacher, “what are you?” “Why, I’m a proud bear Fan,” boasts the little girl. The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Kristen why she is a rebel. “Well, my mom and dad are Bear Fans, so I’m a Bear Fan too.” The teacher is now angry. “That’s no reason,” she says loudly. “What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?” A pause, and a smile. “Then,” says Kristen, “I’d be a Cheesehead”

Ok by me if it is ok by DB. I can't believe he would object if the majority was in agreement. I know flea wanted it earlier. So did Gary. I did. You did. Your friend is in agreement. That is 5 of the 10 there. DB PMed me earlier saying it was fine with him then he changed his mind about changing it to Sunday. That leaves 4 we are waiting to hear from. Whoever it was that complained to DB about moving it to Sunday should be (I Hope) agreeable to a 2 hour shift of start times.
-
I agree that it is probably too late for the Sunday Draft. For that to have happened a decision probably should have been sent out yesterday, not the night before. There is plenty of time to notify everyone of a 6PM draft on Monday and I can not believe anyone who was accepting the 8PM Monday time would have any reason to object to moving it up 2 hours. Ultimately, it is DB's call.
-
I would be thrilled with Sunday at Noon, however would be satisfied with 6PM Monday as that is what I thought was being agreed on with the exchanges we had. There is an email owners option on the yahoo team website.

It makes it very rough on Gary who has to get up at 1AM to go to work, it makes it rough on me as I get up very early in the morning to go to work, and I believe that means flea will start the draft at 2 AM. I did not know the draft time was firm at 8PM Monday night. If I had known this I would not have paid my $20 and would have withdrawn from the draft. Too late now, I guess I will have to live with it.
