  1. I would only let Collins go to Minny if we got an 11th round draft pick in return. Asking too much?
  2. I think what we have to look at is the road to the NFC Championship game is easier traveled with Seattle coming to Chicago. Assuming we come to play and remember to run the ball and stop the run, we will make it to the Championship game and will be one game away from the SB. I am not sure if I would prefer the Bears to go to Atlanta and play them or GB at our house. There are pros and cons to both scenarios. However, the way I see it, if we cannot play well enough to win against either of those two teams we do not deserve to be in the SB. I want the Bears to earn their berth.
  3. How much longer are you going to be stationed over there? I figured you would be back home by next season!
  4. Bennett injured his ankle last week against the Jets and did not finish the game. He was held out of todays game as a precaution. I agree with the decision, we need him for the playoffs.
  5. Obviously this was a trick question, no one covered Knox.
  6. Have a great holiday everyone! Hopefully the Bears will continue to put more and more gifts under out trees over the next 6-7 weeks. Now that would be a very nice Christmas indeed!

    The Three Bears

I want to see Briggs make it also, he is deserving, hopefully once the remaining 2/3 of the opinions are registered this overlook by the fans will be rectified.
  8. I agree, I see nothing out of line with BB's posts. He has been a valuable member of this forum for a very long time. Back when Jeff Timms was still active and the webmaster. His participation in the forums is an asset to us and I would hate to think anyone would try to say anything different. BB lives, I believe, in the NE area, and I am sure has some views that may differ from ours when it comes to NE. That does not make him any less a Bears' fan.
  9. If he tries to play, one good hit and fall to the ground on the "frozen" tundra will put him back on the sidelines for good. Does he really want that? I know he want to try and help the team but he would be smart to sit one more week and play on a better surface if he wants to finish out the season, otherwise, he may very well finish out his career tonight.
  10. I think a lot of that will depend on if they still have a chance to gain home field advantage for the playoffs. Some seem to think that just becuae the Bears got their asses kicked by NE that we still do not have home field advantage do to the weather here. I would love to see a team like New Orkleans or Atlanta here for the playoffs.

  12. I hope you are right, if the Bears give MAX effort in this game, with a Rookie 6th round pick drafted to be converted to a WR and switched to QB, there is no reason why we should not come away with half a dozen turnovers and a lopsided victory. I mean, for ???'s sake, why wouldn't they be fired up? They have a chance to clinch the Division when all the experts (and half of this forum) were thinking the Bears would finish 3rd or 4th in the NFCN this year?
  13. I am seeing on NFL.com Jackson is going on IR with a turf toe, guess he is no where near as tough as Favre, LOL. I wonder if Favre would have gone on IR with a turf toe? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81cf...le=HP_headlines
  14. I know when I have my balled rubbed down I have absolutely no problems with turnovers
  15. Just looking at the pictures I think they suck. What is with the fronts of the jerseys? Is it me or do the numbers on the front of the jerseys look way too large? The jerseys do not look right to me.
  16. Probably, even then who knows? Before the Eagles game EVERY expert I saw had the Eagles kicking our Ass. So what happens, during the game when it was obvious the Bears were not going to get their Butts kicked, the announcers started making excuses about how if Samuel was playing he would have forced a couple Cutler interceptions, etc... I think they knew Samuel was going to miss the game when they predicted we would get our butts kicked! I also love the fact that they said before the PHI win we had only beaten 1 team with a winning record. When we played MIA they had a winning record. They then lost to us and became a .500 team. Now I think they are back on the plus side. But it is just a way for them to manipulate stats to try and discredit the Bears. I personally am impressed with the way the Bears have improved from week to week over the past month. I knew there would be some growing pains with all the changes to the coaching staff. However, it is really starting to look quite impressive. So, I could give a rat's ass about the experts, GO BEARS! It would be sweet to see Hester return another KO for a TD in another SB, as long as we win it all this time around!
  17. Jason sounds like someone from the sports media who questions every Bears' victory and embellishes every loss. Every team has ugly wins where they should have done better against what was suppose to be a inferior team. Every team comes away with one or two wins they could have easily loss. Every team has games that a critical call went in their favor and others where it bit them in the ass. When all is said and done the Bears are what they are, a 7-3 team and in great position to make the playoffs. Why not just sit back and enjoy the ride, it had been awhile since we have had this opportunity to enjoy!
  18. No problem, there are a few posters here who talk crap about the Bears all year long.
  19. The Bears have been quick to dump dead weight lately. I would not be at all surprised if they brought in another QB and promoted Hanie to #2, at least until the new QB can learn the system. I have no doubt Hanie would have done much better than Collins if given the opportunity.
  20. No QB, Payton Manning, Tom Brady, A Rogers, (or even J Unitas, J Montana, etc...) would have succeeded with the lack of protection Cutler got. I cannot believe some on the forum are calling him a Pu**y. He got the shit kicked out of him. He was brutalized. He got a concussion, if you do not know what that actually means read up on it, we are talking a serious injury. NFL teams take this injury very seriously now a days since the seriousness of a concussion has been studied. If he had shown symptoms of a concussion at half time, the team HAD NO CHOICE but to pull him.
  21. The play selection was a good call, Clark was open and should have caught the damn ball. If he had caught the ball for a TD would this discussion of Lovie's 4th down attempt at the goal line even exist? We failed, and the Packers took over on their one (or less). They were pinned way back and eventually had to punt from their 5 yard line. Hester finally breaks one for a TD. Not a bad outcome. Would this have happened if they had gotten good field position after a FG by CHI? We will never know. If we kicked the field goal and we kick off to GB, with the success Rogers had, and almost a full quarter with probably MUCH BETTER field position, do you think they would have a good chance to march down the field again? It is fun to 2nd guess Lovie now-a-days. But was it really that bad a call? I do not think so in this case. The call in Detroit, yes I will play armchair HC and question that one. This one, I think was a good call.
  22. I think the Lions are going to be a lot better than they have been. I am quite concerned that we might lay an egg tomorrow. If their defensive line plays up to the billing they are getting, and if our offensive line plays as bad as they did in preseason, we will not get a running game going, Cutler will be forced to pass too often, and I smell an upset. If we can at least run block effectively and get some decent yardage on the ground, then I think we will be fine. I must admit, for the first time this preseason, I am getting a bit concerned. Hopefully the Bears will come out and prove my concerns unfounded.
  23. bowlingtwig brought to my attention a poster called linsim. He is, from what I saw in his posts, and internet marketer trying to use forums to gain backlinks to his products. He is not too smart as you usually do that by making posts in forums related to the product you are promoting. Needless to say I have deleted all of his posts and kissed him good-bye. If he or anyone else like this shows up again please let us know. Thanks Gary for the heads-up!

Nothing like a little **** to end a conversation. Have it your way, maybe we play 40 games with 4 bye weeks, 100 man rosters, a Billion dollar salary cap, and a 2 week break between the SB and the start of the next season. This way we will not even need OTA's or Training Camps. There, see, I can get as **** as you.

I do not think starting 2 weeks earlier is going to "turn up the heat". It is plenty hot in September also, just depends on how lucky or unlucky you are as far as the weather. I have seen it in the 90's in September in Chicago also, and a cool front in the 70's in August. The players have survived games played in hot weather since the start of the NFL. Many teams have Domes, not just for the cold, but the heat as well. Earlier someone was arguing you can not play later in the year because it would be too cold, now it is going to be too hot if we start 2 weeks early? How many times have we heard of a player who we did not even know was injured, played pretty much the entire year, went into the off-season, all of a sudden announces he was dealing with a minor injury all year, decide to have surgery in March or April, then miss the majority of camp. We had two players miss a good bit of camp with minor knee surgeries that were not preformed until (I believe) April? And as far as competing with Baseball, the Cubs play their last game this year in October for Pete's sake, the World Series will be closing in on November. We have been competing with the MLB forever.
