  1. I think most Bears fans are embarrassed at this point. Love your passion for the team. One thought - use spell check going forward. Peace
  2. Everyone needs to back up a bit. One statement in one article does not make someone a 'paid liar' or mean that they are 'not doing his homework'. Briggs has been reporting on the Bears for years. He watches every game. If you listen to him on the SCORE every morning that he calls in, he is no Bears apologist. Peace

The big difference being he didn't choose Jauron. Peace

One interesting premise I heard was that Angelo would basically let Lovie do what he wants for the rest of the yr and then use it against him to cut him loose. I wouldn't be suprised if Angelo is thinking heavily about major changes to save his own arse. A few weeks back, he questioned why the coaching staff hasn't done a better job of developing the younger players. Peace

We will be eliminated when we lose this weekend. Peace

Olsen is 6'4" and Davis is 6'7". Both have speed for their position and both should be able to beat safeties or LBs 90% of the time. We have other serious pressing needs to address before we look to getting another receiver. Develop the receivers we have on the roster right now and take advantage of the mismatches we have at TE. Peace

There are 4 games left. Peace
  8. Joniak interviewed Lovie the next day and, paraphrasing, he said they looked to the Rams to run more so they activated Gilbert over him. You know, so Gilbert can play a whole 3 plays!!!!! Also, Lovie noted they were very deep on d-line and it makes the choices difficult. Peace
  9. I've got something better than a gold star. Didn't you go to a game late last yr and get your picture on TV? I have the Bear Report magazine that has that picture (April edition - forgot I had it). Will send you a separate email. Peace

You take things way too personally. In the end Lovie doesn't give a crap about us. I'm sure, given the choice, he would never, ever get in front of a microphone. He is just taking care of his required face time - that's all. Peace
  11. Hey, I want him gone as much as the rest of us. My point was I really don't care about the camera shots of him on the sidelines (or anyone else for that matter). Peace
  12. You want a gold star???? Peace

You went to this game? Wow. I sold the tickets early in the year to my niece's husband because I knew it would be a suckfest whether we were good or not. You ever heard of coach speak??? That's what Lovie practices. It's all a bunch of bs. Peace

I agree with your basic premise. I actually proposed this 2 weeks ago for the same reason - Knox is essentially the same player in his first year. However, I disagree on the compensation we will get. I think the most we will get is a #2 which I would take in a heartbeat. No way do we get a #1 plus another pick. Heck, Randy Moss was traded for a 4th. Now I know he was a complete turd in Oakland but he was still a top receiver in the league. Peace
  15. I'm more concerned with the crap on the field. Peace
  16. Someone needs to ask Lovie to pass the pipe. Wow!!!!! Peace
  17. for what its worth. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/12/be...ges_we_wil.html Peace

I have no issues with the article. Haugh is doing his job. I don't agree with him. I don't see a way you are going to be able to bring in a good OC and DC with the head coaches job in flux. I think everything should be about getting the right coaching staff in for Cutler and to me that means this coaching staff goes. Peace
  19. Let me preface my comments by saying I want Lovie replaced at the end of the year. I feel he has lost this team and it is time to move on. That being said, he has won 2 playoffs games and went to the Superbowl which is more than you can for the vast majority of the coaches that come and go in the NFL. The vast majority of coaches in the NFL end up failing and either being demoted (Jim Mora Jr., Mike Nolan, Gregg Williams, Dick Jauron, Dick Lebeau, etc) or go back to college (Butch Davis, Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban, etc). Peace
  20. has got to go. Moving Manning yet again. Steltz getting most of the reps at FS in the offseason and now is inactive. This coaching staff is done. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt04.article Peace
  21. Understood. I have had tickets since 2002 and only sold them once on E-bay. That was the SB year when they moved the New Years Eve game against the Packers from noon to midnight with about 2 weeks notice. I had previous plans that night and could not go and did not have time to find a friend to take them. Peace
  22. I'd give my left nut to have Guppy as our head coach. Not that its worth anything. Peace
  23. Ced has been out the last 3 weeks. In week 10, rookie Scott gained on 33 yds but that was against Pittsburgh. Week 11 he went for 119 yds. LJ got the carries in week 12 and ran for 107 yds. This season, Ced is averaging 4.2 ypc, Scott 4.4 ypc, and Johnson 4.7. Me thinks the o-line, the qb, and the wrs make the running backs job much, much easier in Cincy. Peace
  24. What matters is whether or not they leave Williams at LT the rest of the year. Peace
  25. I go to 6 games a year and normally sell a game to my niece's husband. My brother would normally take the other game. We both were planning on going to this game but, since it means nothing and it is going to be freezing, we decided to pass. I despise the fact the NFL keeps scheduling Sunday/Monday night games for the Bears late in the season. This year the NFL scheduled 1 game in September and 1 game in October at Soldier field. That really is unacceptable. Further, they have scheduled 1 season opener at Soldier in the last 7 years. This really needs to change. Peace
