I have no issues with how they handled it. At least they made the change. Peace

Jeff Dickerson, on AM1000 this morning, reported Orlando Pace was ready and wanting to play last week. The coaching staff told him that Williams will be starting the rest of the year. For some reason, I did not see this in the paper anywhere. Dickerson said it was something they were trying to keep quiet. Peace

Billick is a coach who actually shows emotion so we must go get him. Peace

Hey, I never said DA was a #1 receiver. I am simply saying I would start him and Knox and have Hester in the role of a 3rd or 4th receiver going forward. IMHO Hester will never get much better at receiver. Whereas Knox has shown the potential in his 1st year to be a very, very good receiver. Will he ever be a #1 - probably not. But he will end up having a better career as a receiver than Hester (mark my words). Hester is in his 4th yr in the NFL. Knox is just a rookie. Peace
-
Agreed. However, in the end, they are on Jay. He has not had a good year and he will be the 1st to admit it. Hopefully, we will mistakes like these decrease dramatically next yr as he develops a better repore with the receivers. Peace

This is the most poorly coached team in Bears history

I can go with that but neither of us were around during the Abe Gibron years. I heard he sucked big time. Peace -
Not that this excuses anything, but I read in the Sun Times that Cutler called the time out because the play clock was winding down and players were not in position. Afterwards, Lovie decided to challenge. Peace
-
Now that they are officially out of the playoff hunt, Angelo needs to tell Lovie that he needs to pick 1 d-lineman in the rotation who will be inactive the rest of the season. My choice would be the Prince. No way will we bring him back unless on the cheap. Peace

If you are just saying this yr, then I can agree. If you want to further argue that Wanny or Jauron are better coaches than Lovie, then I strongly disagree. Peace -
So you are saying we don't have a #2 receiver on this team? I would say we are stocked full of #2s and need a #1. However, our need for an upgrade on the o-line outweighs our need for a #1 at this point. That's why I made suggestion. Peace

They are not worse than they were under Wanny or Jauron. They are bad, no doubt, but not that bad. Peace -
Management needs to sit down with him and let him know that he is a reserve receiver from now on and a full time return man. I don't care what his incentives are and neither should nanagement. He is an average receiver at best. DA stepped into the starting lineup and looked 100 times better. Knox and DA should be starting with Bennett at #3 and Hester at #4. If he bitches, offer to redo his contract such that his incentives are tied to the return game going foward. Peace

I agree with all the grades except for WR. I would have given them a B-. Both DA and Knox had very good games. Thanks for posting. Peace

Stadium was full no doubt. Good football atmosphere. Too bad Lovie doesn't know his arse from a hole in the ground. Peace -
It was at this moment at the stadium my head exploded. Lovie Smith better be fired at the end of the yr. Week after week this team is out coached. Get him and his staff out of here. Peace

I read today that Pace was limited again in practice and is questionable for the game. The writer said he may be the emergency tackle this week. Peace

Outstanding!!!! LOL Peace

Understood. I personally think people tend to over-react to much that is written and said. I simply think everyone needs to realize the big picture - how many articles does Briggs write per week? How many interviews does he give? You are going to end up not agreeing with him every once in awhile. The same can be said for anyone who covers the team. In general, what is he doing right now? I would say, for the most part, he has been very critical of the team (of course, how could you not be). Peace

Very nice Pix. I appreciate your passion and thank you for helping me see the way. I would say I am simply embarassed with this current team but I love this franchise. Peace
-
I think most Bears fans are embarrassed at this point. Love your passion for the team. One thought - use spell check going forward. Peace
-
Everyone needs to back up a bit. One statement in one article does not make someone a 'paid liar' or mean that they are 'not doing his homework'. Briggs has been reporting on the Bears for years. He watches every game. If you listen to him on the SCORE every morning that he calls in, he is no Bears apologist. Peace
-
The big difference being he didn't choose Jauron. Peace

One interesting premise I heard was that Angelo would basically let Lovie do what he wants for the rest of the yr and then use it against him to cut him loose. I wouldn't be suprised if Angelo is thinking heavily about major changes to save his own arse. A few weeks back, he questioned why the coaching staff hasn't done a better job of developing the younger players. Peace
