  1. MItch is a heck of a teammate. He's a really good dude and it's easy to root for him. He's also better than 99% of the people that play QB in the world. However, he's not better than the vast majority NFL starting QBs. I wish it would have worked out for him but it didn't. Where he was drafted was not his fault. I wish him all the best going forward. Drafting QBs is a crapshoot. The year Cade McNown was drafted, there were 5 QBs taken in the first 12 picks (Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Donovan McNabb, Dante Culpepper and McNown). Three of the five were complete busts. All the draft analysis I read had Trubisky as a top-10 draft pick. Pace obviously loved all the leadership traits that Mitch showed and probably felt they could fix any technical issues he had. They obviously got it wrong. The larger problem is Pace has not drafted any other QBs anywhere in the draft. Tyler Bray is in his 3rd year as the 3rd string QB. He'll be 29 at the end of the season. He's not a developmental player. When the Packers had Favre, they drafted Mark Brunnell, Matt Hasselback, Aaron Brooks and Aaron Rodgers. Brunnell and Hasselback were both traded. You have to invest in the position and, once you realize you've made a mistake, move on. Peace
  2. Rest in peace, Kansas Comet. There will never be another. Peace
  3. Great player. May he rest in peace.
  4. I would give him that deal with a team option for a 5th year at 20 million. Put as much into this year's cap as you can. Peace
  5. It's his last chance to break through. I say they give him 3-4 games to show his improvement. Peace
  6. I would like to see Trubisky get one more shot. If, after 3 to 4 games, he's not cutting it then move on. Peace

Agreed. Forte's response was fantastic. Peace
  8. Why would the Jags get rid of him? Peace

I met Urlacher his rookie year at Platteville and talked to him for about a minute as he signed autographs for a bunch of kids. Seemed like a decent guy. Loved him as a Bear and am extremely happy he is in the HOF. However, I completely disagree with his current statements on social media. He is a human and he is entitled to his beliefs but that doesn't mean he's not not going to be criticized. I think he should be most worried about how the majority of his teammates feel about what he is saying. Peace
  10. I read this morning it will 2 to 4 weeks, which is not bad considering what it could have been. Peace
  11. Sucks. Bad timing but, if it's not torn, he should be back sometime in September. Peace
  12. His salary simply moves to next year but they don't need to pay him the bonus again. Peace
  13. I have no issues with this. He needs to do what is best for his family. I still have serious doubts there is going to be a season. Peace
  14. The Bears sent season-ticket holders notice that they could simply opt out for the season and that seats would be held for next year. This is probably what I going to do. Peace
  15. Agreed. Further, he's down to 265 pounds. I don't think he plays again. I've heard he was a hell of a pitcher (left hander with 95+ fastball). I wonder if he makes a run at the MLB? Peace

    Team Meeting

Agreed. It was encouraging news. Peace
  17. I definitely think he will need some time on the practice squad but would love to see him succeed. Peace
  18. Agreed with Mongo on this point. Peace
  19. Rest in peace, Mrs. George. Peace
  20. I remember writing a letter to Virginia McCaskey after the botched hiring of Dave McGinnis by Michael. I was enraged and I am obviously not a fan of Mike. That being said, I do not wish cancer on anyone. May he rest in peace. Peace
  21. IMO - They are not going to let fans into the stadiums. You'll be getting a credit or a refund. Peace
  22. I am 99% sure, at this time, there will not be fans in the stands this fall. Peace
