I absolutely see Nagy coming back if Fields shows good improvement the rest of the year. The last thing the McCaskeys want is large change in the organization. Fields improving is an excuse to keep Nagy. Peace

Fields is definitely improving but he cannot take those sacks. Throw the ball away. Hopefully, he learns quickly. I absolutely agree on Robinson. Trade him for a 3rd or a 4th and bring up Adams. Fields and Adams developed a chemistry in camp. Let's see if the can do something with it. At this point, I would sit Jackson for a game or two to make a point to him. Play Bush or Carson. In my 19 years as a season-ticket holder, that was the absolute worst officiating I have ever seen. Forget about the blown calls, which were embarrassing enough. On at least 4 occasions it appeared they had no idea what was going on and had to huddle up for 3 to 5 minutes to figure out what to do next. I hate the officiating in the NFL - absolutely hate it. Peace

Injured reserve is for a minimum of 3 weeks. My understanding is a high-ankle sprain can take 6 to 8 weeks to heal. I don't think Jenkins plays this year. Peace

Read your response wrong. My bad. Peace

Watched "The Closer" the other day as well. Fantastic work. Peace

Freedom of speech only applies to government infringing on our speech. The NFL is a private organization. That being said, it is stupid but it was a to a point that it would damage the Raiders organization if they kept him. Peace

I'm sure his resignation came after a lengthy discussion involving lawyers on how he was being paid to go away. It's not about what constitutes eligibility to be employed. He was the face of the Raiders and the owner knew that would be a huge distraction going forward. Peace

This. Peace

I thought Duke Shelley had an outstanding game. He had at least 3 good solo tackles and a huge pass break up. Peace

I personally have no issue with Ted Phillips managing the business aspect of the organization as long as I only hear from him when he is talking about the stadium or introducing the new president in charge of football operations. He should never, ever be involved in football operations. Get the new stadium built, Ted, and then stay the F out of football operations. Peace

Bears sign agreement to purchase Arlington Park property
Connorbear replied to McGowan's topic in Bearstalk
This has to happen. Soldier Field was outdated the moment it was finished. The Chicago Bears and their fans deserve a world-class facility. From a personal perspective, I could take the NW Metra line from Harvard right to the stadium. It would cut 30+ minutes on my commute. Make it so. Peace -
I can't imagine they'll get anything for him given his contract unless he drastically improves the rest of the year. Peace

Trade deadline is Nov. 2nd. I would give it to the beginning of October and then start moving players if things are not turning around. Peace

I'm good with the interior of our line. I'd trade him for a draft pick or a cornerback. Peace

Callahan is strictly a nickel corner. Burns or Vildor will be CB2. Peace

He should have been cut after losing his cool in the first Saints game. Peace

You knew this coming when they signed Peters. Getting anything from Jenkins this year will be a gift. Let's hope Peters has one more year to give the game. Peace

Visited Bears training camp today with my brother and his boys. Observations: 1 - Much more like Platteville than Bourbonnais. Platteville was very laid back. Bourbonnais was was too corporate for my taste. 2 - Jaylon Johnson had 2 picks of Andy Dalton. The 2nd was beautifully timed where he jumped over the receiver on a long pass to haul it in. Dalton did have a nice throw to Allan Robinson on the sidelines. 3 - Justin Fields made a fantastic throw to Jesse James on a deep side-line route that went right over the top of the defender Charles Snowden. It really was a thing of beauty. 4 - Watched the defensive line practice for about 20 minutes. The D-Line Coach Chris Rumph was outstanding. He really worked his players. I believe they would run through a wall for him. 5 - The pictures I have of the d-line practice are of Akeem Hicks and Khyiris Tonga. Hicks was growling like a Bear and talking to the fans. He even handed some Gatorade to a couple of kids. I'd love for them to find a way to keep him. Rumph was riding Tonga hard making him take extra reps. I think they know he could be a special player if he stays focused. 6 - The facility was very intimate. The new practice fields are surrounded by woods and back up to the Metra line. 7 - The Bears are spending some good money on this. Parked at the Hawthorn Mall and was bussed over (tour busses not school busses). Plenty of staff and things to do for the kids. I was impressed.

We get a 5th in 2022 and gave them Miller and a 7th. I'm good with this trade. Miller is extremely talented but he's way too much trouble. Peace

Agreed. It's time to move forward. Peace

Dan Pompei said in an article this weekend it would cost 8 million a year to break the lease. Given the construction cost of the new facility would be around 3-4 billion (also per Pompei), 8 million a year for maybe 6-7 years is a drop in the bucket. As a season ticket holder since 2002, I am absolutely behind this move. I love watching games in Soldier. I hate the rest of the experience. The bathrooms and concourses are bad, and getting to and from the stadium is a nightmare. A rectractable-roof, state-of-the-art facility would bring at least one Super Bowl and many other large events we currently cannot host now. Peace
