  1. That is incorrect. We had the ball on the Houston 40 yd line. Hester ran a deep seem pass in the middle of the field and caught the ball on the 4 yd line. He was touched down at the 1 yd line. Peace
  2. Hampton thinks Orton will return to the form he showed at the beginning of the yr when healthy. He also thinks our receivers are crap. I think you need to please stop with Kyle is not the answer. This is a discussion board and that is my opinion. I respect your opinion and will not ask you to change it. Please don't ask me to change mine. The only home run threat we have is Hester. Davis is a 5th wide receiver who is a good special teamer. Lloyd does not have break away speed but isn't really a possession receiver. Booker was to be our possession receiver this yr but completely disappointed and looks to be gone. Bennett hardly saw the field. We need a WR that can fight for the ball and move the chains. Whoseyourmamma is that player. Peace
  3. Hester had a catch for over 40 yds today. I thought you watched the game. Why are we arguing about QB??? You honestly see that as the problem on this team??? Our over-paid, over-hyped defense lost this games today as they did several of the games earlier this yr. The only team with more money spent on defense is Baltimore and they are a hell of alot better. Peace
  4. Biased??? Whatever. I share same opinion as Dan Hampton on Orton. Call my biased if you like. McNabb is out the question because he is still under contract with Philly and they just made the playoffs. He is not going anywhere. Cassell - no thanks. He's surrounded by all-pros in NE. I personally can't imagine him having success here with WRs and O-line we have. Peace
  5. Good for Rex. I'll take Kyle over Rex anyday. Kyle finished with approx. 3000 yds, 18 TD, 12 ints, and 3 rushing TDs in 15 games with crap at WR. He will start next yr. Hopefully Angelo will give him some tools to use. Peace
  6. Orton was over 60% completion rate before the injury. He spoke of the biggest change he made this yr was to his footwork. The injury negated his footwork. I think he will look much better next fall when he returns healthy. Peace
  7. The Bears are not getting McNabb. Peace
  8. Orton looked good today. He will most likely be given the job next yr. Wait until 5 or 6 games in before deciding to extend him. Bring in a vet to compete with him (Garcia is my choice). Peace
  9. Let me ask you this - Marnelli or Babich? Let's assume Angelo tells Lovie he has to make a change. If you are Lovie, don't you tell him you will do it only if you get your original choice? Peace
  10. I agree - Babich must go. Peace

Manning was part of the 2 plays that cost the game. That being said, he is a very good KR and has improved at nickle. Just get us a real FS. Peace
  12. Anderson is getting paid a rookie contract of a 5th rounder. He's not making anything compared to the others. Peace

Sorry to hear that. Pick another team if you are leaving. I hate the eagles.
  14. Damn am I torn on this one. He is my favorite Bear and I would love to see him retire here but it is clear he has lost a step. Further, it is clear Payne is no FS but he did look very good at SS. This is going to be a tough decision up at Halas Hall. My favorite quote in the article: Said center Olin Kreutz, one of two players remaining with more tenure: ''He's one of those guys that once you have him in your locker room, you should never let him leave.'' http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear26.article Peace
  15. I always liked the kid but mainly as a special teamer. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...bside26.article Peace
  16. We were talking talent levels and IMHO the Queens have more. I agree that we would beat the Queens six out of 10 times because I think their coaching staff is a lot worse than ours which is saying alot. I also agree that we need a #1 receiver. The group we roll out every week is the worst in the league - hands down. Peace
  17. Did you ask a question? Sorry I was distracted. Get me Whoseyourmamma and resign St Clair to be the swing tackle or LG going forward. Draft O-line in round 1 or 2. Draft a pure free safety in the top 3 rounds. That would make me happy. Peace
  18. Merry Christmas everyone. Be safe out there. Peace
  19. Alright. I'm fairly sure if you asked, 70 to 80% of all NFL analysts will say that the Queens have more talent than we do especially at the top of the roster. Hell, they were picked by most to win the division. Who do we have to compare to AP? Forte is very good and I like him a ton but he is no AP. Then you add the fact they have Taylor as well. Who do we have to compare to Berrian? Hester may develop to his level but he is no where near there now. Who do we have to compare to Jared Allen? Brown and Ogy are good players but no where near his level. Who do we have to compare to the Williams wall? Tommie can be an outstanding player when healthy but thats only 1 of 2. The only unit where I would say that we are better is special teams. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Queens. I hate them more than the Pack. IMHO, however, they clearly have more talent than us especially at the top of the roster. Peace
  20. Hey, thanks for basically calling my post a load of crap. Merry Christmas to you as well. Peace
  21. The question should be do the want to beat the Queens now or later? If they lose to the Queens they may have to play them again in the playoffs. If I were the Giants, I would much rather eliminate the Queens from playoff contention and risk having to play the Bears. Williams may be back in time to play in the playoffs and AP is capable of going off at any time. The Bears simply do not have the talent the Queens do. Peace
  22. Here's what I see happening: - Williams at left tackle after his redshirt yr - Beuning and Beekman fight it out for LG - Kruetz at center - Bears draft a RG in the first 3 rounds - Tait gone; St Clair resigned to play RT Bears draft a RT who looks good enough to start. Possibly St Clair takes over LG and Beekman moves to RG. Just some thoughts. Peace
  23. I agree that Lovie has not got the most out of his players. Hell, I would argue Ditka did not either. Ditka should have won at least 3 Superbowls with the talent he had. There is no correlation between firey and winning just as there is no correlation between stoic and winning. Let me ask you this - would you want Ron Rivera as head coach? I would argue he is more like Jauron/Smith than Ditka/Cowher from a personality stand point. Sure he shows a bit more emotion but is also can be very thoughtful. He doesn't teeter on the wild eyed edge that Ditka and Cowher have shown. Peace
  24. He's an analyst just giving his opinion. Glad to see he is doing his job. Peace

Marty was a great player in his early yrs but he is done. Time to move on. Peace
