  1. Great story - thanks. Sounds like you had a great college football experience. Will disagree with you on the type of coach we need. I want a coach who gets the most out of his players. I could care less about his temperment. Peace
  2. Well, at least he apologized. He's lucky he hasn't been re-assigned to the obituaries. Peace
  3. Bennett was wide open on the 1st possession but Kyle threw to Lloyd who slipped. I did not notice him after that. Peace

I shpuld have clarified. I meant the coaching staff was the major blocking point here. Peace
  5. I heard this same discussion and wondered how Hampton knows what Rivera and Babich do at practice. I know the press has limited access to practice. Maybe Hampton has more since he is a former player. My point would be that you know he is not there at every practice. Hell, I would say he is most likely there no more than 10% of the time so he is drawing a conclusion from what he has observed on a limited basis. Now, he is obviously much more qualified than you or I to make that judgement. I am just noting that his statements are subjective. Peace
  6. Dude - I saw you on the replay screen!!!!!!! Awesome!!!! Peace
  7. It was a great time. Definately not as cold as the Packer game last yr with 40 mph winds and 20 below wind chill. Peace
  8. Just giving you stuff.
  9. A real jagbag. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-2...0,3282656.story Peace
  10. I agree the head coach is ultimately responsible for the team and its performance. However, at this level, there should be no reason given the circumstances for the players to come out in the first half the way they did. The player know what is on the line. I'm sure they were told all week. I heard the interview with Lovie before the game so I know what he told them. There is no excuse for professionals to play that way. Peace
  11. I agree. Olin Kreutz, Kyle Orton, Brian Urlacher, and Mike Brown - get your heads out of your arses. Grab your teammate by the facemask and tell them ever so politely to step it up. Peace
  12. I'm with Hampton on Orton. Get better talent around him, get him healthy, and lets see what happens. I really like his prep work before the game, his poise during the game, and his leadership. I heard in an interview earlier this yr that Kyle felt the change in the footwork had led to most of his success. After his injury, he said that his footwork changes were negated because of the injury and would need to deal with it for the rest of the yr. I would bring in a vet to compete with Kyle next yr. Hanie is a few yrs away. Peace

The word that was used in the post I responded that was flourish. Flourish means, to me, they play at a much higher level now than they did when they were with the Bears. I just don't see it that way. Peace

I agree with you on both. Cassel is the flavor of the day with great, great talent around him. I would like to see how he would look with our o-line, wrs, and coaching. Rex is a good guy and I wish him the best. However, I simply do not see him ever playing at a probowl level. Peace
  15. I second that!!!! Happy holidays everyone. Be careful out there. Peace
  16. My favorite part: I’m not sure which player among the interior three of Josh Beekman, Olin Kreutz or Roberto Garza had Ron Turner’s ear. Clearly, somebody must have been telling him that they were able to handle the interior of the Packers’ defense. Clearly, they could not. FYI - Earl Bennett did play. Davis has been demoted to special teams. Bennett was in on 2 series I believe. Thanks for the post. Peace
  17. I think you got your TJ and CJ mixed up at the end of the post. Peace
  18. Point is we do have a winning record and he does deserve some credit for that. So do the players. So does the front office. They also all deserve the blame for the 3 games that were blown earlier this yr. Peace
  19. Bennett and Booker got his reps. Peace
  20. Lovie is not being fired with a winning record. Peace

They can't be 6-2 or they wouldn't have any home games left. They are 5-2. Peace
  22. Ok - let me get this straight. I am at the stadium freezing my arse off and you are at home in 85 degree weather with a pool and you are going to sleep in the middle of the game????? You're killing me!!!!! Peace

They cannot get open or off the jam. They drop too many passes. Damn, they piss me off. Booker - gone Lloyd - gone Davis - 5th receiver, special teams only Hester can stay but stop dropping the friggin ball (2 tonight) Bennett - nice to see him get reps and he actually was open once Peace
  24. for pushing the blocker into the punt at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Great, great play. Just keep him off the field on offiense. Peace
  25. Just got back from the game. Some notes: - Not as cold as advertised. No wind so it was tolerable. We stood 95% of the game. - Both Brad Maynard and Robbie Gould should be in the probowl. Some one needs to explain to me how they are not. - Dave Toub deserves a huge raise. Special teams is the reason we won tonight (although they almost lost it at the end of the game). Manning return, punt fumble recovery, Hester return, blocked kick. All of these plays were huge. - Rasheed Davis did not play on offense. Bennett actually got reps. - Marty Booker: thanks for your great effort when you were here before but you need to go. Man was I wrong on that one. - In 8 quarters, we did not sack Rodgers once. Manning did get some nice pressure on blitzes and did cause the int. - Kyle has to improve. I'm glad we did not sign him to an extension. Bring in a vet to compete for the starting job next yr. - I love how Mike Brown hits but he is definately a step slower. We need a true free safety. - Olsen has stepped up big time. He and Clark are the best 1, 2 TE tandum in the league. We are going to have to play much, much better to beat Houston. The offense has to show up. Peace
