    JA on Nate

I have no issues with this if he can stay healthy. He cannot. I love Mike Brown but it is time to move on. Peace
  2. And I'd like a gold plated toilet but it's just not in the cards. Peace

2 thoughts: 1 - Leave Manning at nickel back. He actually got better as the year went along. Plus, he sucks at FS. 2 - I agree with Angelo 100% on Vash. He needs to show he can still play at a starting level especially considering the coin he is being paid. Peace

    JA on Nate

Every once in a while, JA gets a bad case of foot in mouth disease. This is one of those times. Let me preface this by saying Mike Brown is one of my favorite Bears of all time. That being said, I have no issues with them letting him go. Although he played 15 games this yr, he left 3 before halftime do to injury. Further, it is clear he has lost a step. It is clear he cannot handle the pounding of playing SS and he is not fast enough to play FS. I would love to sign him up as a coach but I think he will want to play for a couple more yrs. Peace
  5. Top ten will be sufficient. If we had a top 10 defense last yr, we would have made the playoffs IMHO. Peace
  6. LMOA. Absolutely friggin hilarious. I can picture Mike McCaskey as Monte Burns and JA as Smithers. Peace

  8. Gaba - you are always welcome to add your input. Please feel free to share your thoughts. Peace
  9. Best part of the week he passed was I had tickets to the Bears next game in GB. The Packer fans were incredibly nice. Several of them had signs for Walter. At the end of the 3rd quarter the Wisconsin Badgers Tuba section came out on the field with Walter Payton #34 spelled out (each Tuba had a different letter or #). The place went wild. What a great moment of tribute for a great, great player. Peace
  10. Peanut is one of my favorite Bears. He always gives 110% - no excuses. Peace
  11. You must be stunned an awful lot. I don't expect perfect, but I expect some degree of professionalism. TO is a complete and utter turd. No way, no how would I ever want him on a team I root for. Peace
  12. I remember the day he passed like it was yesterday. Hearing Virginia McCaskey lose it on the radio made me have to pull of the road to compose myself. We will never forget him. Peace
  13. DB - I agree with you. Hell no!!!! Peace
  14. I think this is great news. Hopefully Warren can straighten him out. I don't see how this can hurt. Peace
  15. Welcome to the board. Are you currently a student at U of I? I went to ISU (20 yrs ago) and had several friends in Champaign. Peace
  16. Ted Sunquest (sp), former Denver GM, was on the SCORE this morning. He said that coaches like to surround themselves with people they know and people that share the same general philosophy about football. This is the nature of the beast and is not specific to Lovie and the Bears. Peace
  17. Dead on Pix. Thanks for summarizing my thoughts exactly. Peace
  18. Thankfully someone with NFL coaching experience. Hopefully, they keep Gil Byrd on staff so he will continue to learn. Peace
  19. Didn't Dungy's son die a couple of yrs ago? I really wouldn't be suprised if he took some time off (1 or 2 yrs). I think Gil Byrd is going to be the DB coach. He was the asst DB coach for 3 yrs. Played in the NFL (all pro) for the SD Chargers. I think they will promote him up. Peace
  20. Agreed. I have no issues with that. Peace
  21. That's what I would have said. Nice one. Peace
  22. Exactly. Yet another reason why I don't take these type of comments seriously. Peace
