Ok, so you don't care if we are better than the Wanny, Jauron era? You would rather we not go to the SB? Obviously, I'm being sarcastic but IMHO it does matter that we are better than previous teams. Now, if you want to compare to other NFL teams over the past 6 yrs, then lets do that. Here are the teams I would put above the Bears during that time: - New England - Pittsburgh - San Diego - Seattle - Indy Here are the teams I would grade below the Bears: - Atlanta - New Orleans - Minnesota - Detroit - Arizona - Buffalo - Kansas City - Tennessee - Miami - NY Jets - San Fransisco - St Louis - Cleveland - Cincinnati - Washington The rest of the teams I would rate at approximately the same level as the Bears. Just my 2 cents. Peace

My comparison would be to previous Bears organizations - not other NFL organizations. I think we all forget how extremely bad the front office was in the 90s. Trading a #1 pick for Ric Mirer. Trading up for John Alred. It was a disaster. I would give the teams of the mid 80's an A although I will say they should have won at least one more SB. As I said before, this is a pivotal yr for JA and Lovie. If the team performs poorly, their jobs should be in jeopardy. Peace

Neither will hold out. They would be pasing up great opportunities and, most likely, be flushing their careers. Just look at the track record of Bears holdout - Salaam, Enis, and Benson all were busts. Peace

I agree on a B for a grade and further agree on the breakdown. Peace

Yet another wait until the end of the season to extend his contract. Look, he has 2 yrs left on his contract. The Bears are going to take care of him. JA has a very good track record of taking care of his own players. The only one I can think of that got away was Berrian. This is not going to be an issue. Peace
-
The problem is he is most likely wanting to be paid as a top flight receiver which he hasn't shown up to this point. That is why I would wait. Peace
-
For me he has - our team was miserable during the Wanny and Jauron yrs. In the past 3 yrs, we have won the division twice and went to the SB. Yeah, we lost but we did go. I think this yr is critical for JA and Lovie. If we regress, their jobs will be in jeopardy. Peace

I would be very careful with Hester's contract. Personally, I would like to see more from him at WR before giving him big money. They should wait until after the season before extending him. Peace
-
This won't be an issue. Both will be signed before camp starts. JA's track record here has been very good (other than C-Bass). Peace
-
I don't think we should bring up Salaam or Enis when discussing JA. He has had enough issues with his own 1st round draft picks to worry about players drafted before he was hired. Peace
-
Still very cool anyway. Thanks for the info. BTW - Enjoy your last yr of high school. The real world awaits. I can only wish I was that young again. What position do you play? Peace
-
Dude, that's awesome!!!! What type of connection do you have to get into Halas hall? Peace
-
Dante only looked good because he had a hall of fame WR catching passes from him. His time is over. Peace
-
This is exactly why I have no interest in him - pass. Peace

Check the SCORE website (WSCR.COM). You may find something. It was a fairly short interview. Peace

John, Send me the instructions if you still have openings. Peace
-
Pis - you can count me in for both the FFL and Pick-em contests. Peace

Correction - TJ was not released; he was traded. But I do get your point. Peace

Read this and you will see all the charity work he does - very impressive. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-08...,4511996.column Peace

This is great news. Now I would worry about Url (maybe bump the guarenteed money a bit). We can sign Devin to an extension during the season. Peace
-
The biggest bust on this list to me is Leaf. He was a complete drill rod who's talent level was way overrated. Peace

Peanut was on the SCORE tonight at 8 pm. Some highlights: - Had a Flag Football challenge for charity last week. Evidentally, Rod Wilson was a all american QB in high school and tore it up on the field. - Was very happy with his play last yr. Felt he dropped some easy picks, however, and this kept him from making the pro-bowl. - Felt that rookie salaries may be unfair in that they get money based on their play in college. I hope the NFLPA is open to addressing this during the next contract negotiations. Overall, a very good interview. One final note. He was in his car with his daughter and she kept saying she was hungry - evidentally they were on their way to dinner. It was funny listening to him interact with her. Being a daddy definately changes you. Peace

Boy, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Michael Haynes was more concerned with picking out his furniture than learning the defensive playbook according to one of the defensive coaches. Not that I don't believe him but this guy was as big a bust as Ced. Peace

In promotion of peace and in defense of Bear Trap, I don't think he was calling you stupid. I think he was saying laying the blame was stupid. I really don't think anyone on this site thinks anyone else is stupid. We certainly disagree with each other and often think "How can anyone say something so stupid" but I think 99% of the time there is mutual respect on this board. Just my take. Peace

Are we really arguing who is a better RB - AP or Ced????? Wow, we really need some news around here!!!!! Peace
