You're a funny guy. Bottom line, I respect your opinion but simply do not agree with you. No need for further discussion on this topic. Peace

Nope. I don't hate Lovie or Brian. I simply do not like people negotiating contracts in the press. Peace

Thank you!!!!!! I couldn't have said it better. Peace

I would honor the contract that I signed. My word is no good if I do not. That is how I was raised. I thought Brian had a fairly good yr. Not his best but better than at least 90% at his position. I think the what bothers me most is I do not see him being a very good face of the franchise at this point. Case in point - last yr, after his back injury was revealed, he started acting like a child setting up his own blog on another site and answer the press in one word comments. He looked like an ass. Be a man. If you don't want to speak to the press - then just say no comment. I love Brian like any other Bears fan and want him to retire as a Bear. He has been handsomely rewarded for his contribution to the team. He has several endorsement deals because he is currently the face of the Chicago Bears. You think if he was the face of the Az Cardinatls he would get the same opportunities - no way. They have offered him an extension. He needs to understand how good he has it and that the Bears have made a good faith offering - something they do not have to do since he has 4 more yrs on his contract. Brian - Pick up the phone and tell your agent you want to meet with Angelo. Get yourself back with the team and something will be worked out. Peace:dabears

I love this ranking. Please let the analysts pile on. I want the team with a chip on it's shoulder. Peace

I remember reading somewhere his #s were comparable to Shockey in his rookie yr. I think his #s will only get better. Nothing to be concerned about. Peace

He had that mantle. I think it is being passed to Devin. Peace

Can someone please provide a link to an article that says that boat was anchored. Peace

Please monitor your lanquage going forward. Thanks

Brian Urlacher Threatens to Hold Out from Minicamp. Panic in the Streets.
Connorbear replied to tshanno's topic in Bearstalk
He won't retire. He has too many endorsements outside of the game and, like you said, many mouths to feed. Peace -
I believe he got on the cops boat without an issue. After the initial field sobriety testing, which the cops say he failed and he said he did not, they told him they needed to take him ashore for additional tests. This is when it escalated. Peace
-
The Bears think he is worth that - they are the one's paying him. Peace

The Bears made an offer. Url didn't like it - too bad. No way do you tear up his contract. Wait it out and maybe give him some additional coin if necessary. He will be on the field when the season starts. He has too many mouths to feed and I'm sure the endorsements he has will be putting pressure on him to play). Peace

Not sure where you are getting those numbers but Briggs contract is not bigger than Url. I believe they both play out at 6 million a yr over the span of the contracts (Url's was longer) but given the fact the Url's contract was signed 5 yrs ago his contract actually has more value over time. Peace

Booker is younger, better, and doesn't throw his teammates under the bus. Peace

Imagine Trump making the statement: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6895288.story Big time contract for a kicker - wow. Wonder how much is incentive based. Peace
-
They normally try to take advantage of all available cap space (I think last yr they extended Kreutz for a couple more yrs). Peace
-
Very happy with this. I would bet this in the area of 5 yrs for 10 to 12 million with about 2 million sb. Now this is done, they can move on to Harris. I get the feeling that Hester and Url will be handled in the season. Peace

Outstanding. The only change I see is possibly someone else winning out the LG spot. St. Clair is extremely valuable as a the swing tackle. At this time we only have 3 legitimate tackles on the roster and only 2 with NFL experience (Tait, St. Clair, Williams). Peace

This cracks me up. Mike - why don't you be a man and simply say this is all my fault. What a drillrod!!!!!! Peace
-
I completely agree and would go one step further. If he wanted to go out on the boat, why not hire a designated captain and then he would have been covered. Peace
-
My point would be that the 2nd FB never plays. I would rather keep one on the practice squad if we are keeping Benson so we also hold onto Wolfe and AP. AP is too valuable as a special teamer to let go and Wolfe showed potential as a 3rd down back at the end of last yr. Peace

Now that he has joined the voluntary workout program they probably will work out a deal. Peace

Nice to hear from you. The blurb on the KC kicking situation is the reason I believe we will extend Gould. Having consistency at that position is extremely important. Peace
