It is real early, but I feel this is a terrible year to have the top draft slot. I haven't got a feel on any of the QBs yet and Watson continues to be the big name...yet I hesitate. Offensive lineman, same feeling. The top pick I think will produce is Jabril Peppers DB Michigan. Bears n Cutler need to rebound quick otherwise it may be hell for many more years. Any thoughts of owning the first pick?
-
I agree, time to move on next year. This team is too far from greatness, just wish there was a worthy college qb to crap the season for.
-
Bright spots, Eddie Royal, Alshon Jeffery, and Jordan Howard. Hoyer is McGown part 2, quick progressions and moves the ball. Cutler is hanging on a thread for my loyalty, always get the benefit but his guaranteed money is up so he needs to step up huge.
-
Goldman carted off the field. Cursed? I think so
-
Carson Wentz is exposing Jay Cutler big time. Rookie with a game and a half is schooling a vet. If things do not change soon, we might be holding the first picknof the draft.
-
Howard with some nice runs. Like his style, comes out with full steam. Langford/Forte seemed to hesitate looking for a hole. Carey runs with the same style.
-
Still not able to get pressure from the front 7. Big problem since they supposedly addressed that need. Wentz looks like an all pro in his second nfl game.
-
The Browns royally screwed up not taking Wentz. He looks like the next best thing so far. We will see if Fox/Pace make a change if Massie continues to get Cutler killed.
-
Massie looking like a terrible signing, Freeman a great signing. Robbie Gould may be missed more than we know. Any other thoughts?
-
I was wanting to draft him and to see KC give up on him so early is not good. Someone will give him another shot I am sure.
-
Hope he goes right back to him. He needs to step up and live up to his status.
-
With two young Centers on the roster, this cannot hurt. As for starting Whitehair week one, he had to get a start sometime and now is as good as any.
-
Couldn't have said it better. My take on it. Slauson was not a fit on the style they wanted to run and they had Grasu and Whitehair in the wings until injuries hit. With Gould, they gave him the benefit in camp to keep his spot after a few costly misses last season. He was showing signs that the misses would be carried on this season. Do you live with that or not? They are not going to carry two kickers on the roster, so they are trying Barth. If he doesn't work expect a short leash on him too. Who knows, Gould may be back if Barth fails. Last, Brewer supposedly was not improving on his night life from what I read on a few tweets and they opted to go back to Scales. Hard to say if it had to do with the K's preference.
-
Good for him. He came out respectable from the beginning and the Bears followed suit.

Leonard Floyd is inconsistent and out of shape, according to Fangio

Agree. These two need to experience real NFL games to figure the game out. If they stop making progress I'll start worrying. I carry my hope longer than most I'd say as I think back to Shea McClellin. I do like the pressure the coaches put on them though, put it out there and see if they respond. -
I never knew about turning off the avatars or images. I appreciate that tidbit as I do most of my reading on a 4" phone screen and that will keep scrolling minimal.

Mariani was released and signed with the Titans. Bellamy, Meredith, and Thompson are the main reserves. Marquess Wilson may be an option down the road too. It is time for Royal to shine though.

I am really excited about the direction of the team

Bold moves for sure with signing Sitton and putting Whitehair into a possible new role. Grasu may no longer be in the plans, but hopefully he comes back next year stronger and able to compete for a roster spot. Notice Leno is still not mentioned very often. If he takes another strong step, we can focus on finding a better RT option through the draft. If Sitton still plays at a high level, our line should be solid. -
So much for that thought. ...Bears just release Aaron Brewer and re-sign Patrick Scales as long snapper. Sure gets confusing right now
-
Also note that Conner Barth played 5 games with Denver in 2014, so he has some experience with long snapper Aaron Brewer and Coach Fox.
-
Have you seen Gould lately? The management gave him huge benefits after his last season debacles and he blew it in preseason by missing multiple kicks. I was glad they kept him and even gave him a competition free camp but he couldn't find 1 out of 4 million reasons to be NFL capable
-
Gould wasn't worth his weight anymore. Tough decision because he had a good fan base but after missing game winners last year and missing kicks in preseason, it was time to move on. Hope he saved his wealth, that 4 million pay cut will suck and now we will be in a kickers n carousel
-
Also just seen none of our cuts were claimed on the waivers, so expect us to keep the guys we like.
-
Actually, Ego was placed on IR. I just seen that on twitter.

Ouch, didn't realize Fuller would be missing the first 6 weeks. McPhee I kind of figured. We need him 100% I am ok with Wilson starting here, he is an insurance policy at WR. Hope we win some of our gambles for our practice squad. Would like to see Braverman, Braunecker, and Fales make it. Fales only bc he kmows the system.
