  1. That could be their thought also. Tunsil, Stanley, or Ramsey.
  2. The Chargers will take Ramsey or Tunsil I would think. Jax is were I thought Jack fit in best, slight concern over his knee maybe is what a few top execs are saying.
  3. Sign the Bears up as interested at 11, but doubt we would get so lucky to benefit from that. They may want Ramsey at #3.
  4. I wouldn't forget him altogether. Round 4 I may take a chance. Word is Myles Jack will drop out of top 10. Is he worth considering?
  5. If they take Smith in Round 2, it will hopefully add competition and the best guy plays. Just like if they add Ronnie Stanley, Leno will have to step up his game;William Jackson III, Porter/Fuller will have to step up; Keanu Neal, Rolle will etc. So if they do have a chance to take Smith and he does win the starting role, then it comes down to the cap.
  6. Everything I have read or heard has always had 2 QB's in the top 10. I will say Wentz has everything but experience against top competition on his side, so I think he could be the top QB. Goff is a California kid with experience in a pro offense and played against better competition, so LA may prefer him? Now that LA traded up, Lynch may sneak into the top 10.
  7. Today's Drafttek 1-Deforest Buckner DT 2-Jaylon Smith LB 3-Will Redmond CB 4-Brandon Doughtry QB 4-Mile Killebrew SS
  8. Now hopefully Lynch gets taken before #11. Hate to think it, but I have a feeling Pace would take him. Think about it, his offseason left no absolute needs. Hopefully this gives us Buckner or Stanely
  9. Seen rumors floating that Philly may be trading with Cleveland to take a QB also.
  10. I think we will be lucky if we can get Nkimdiche, Butler, or Jones with our 2nd Round pick. Chris Jones's potential is what will propel him into possible RD1, his size and athletic ability puts him next to Buckner. If a run on DT's starts up, don't be surprised if we trade back up to get one of those 3. Or ideally, we trade down from #11.
  11. I don't think this season is the time to go big on a qb for a team building purposes. RD4 or after, sure. Find a guy that might be diamond in the rough, whatever. We need at DT, S, CB, OLB, and OT that can be steals. I will say next year QB can become a higher priority.
  12. I like when the Bears bring in lunch!!! They very well could draft a QB early, I think it is all part of the Best Player Available process. Pace is feeling out the most important position and if Wentz, Goff, Lynch or whomever is available, he may take him if he is his BPA. I think if they take a QB, regardless of how high, we will carry 3 on the roster part of the year. At 11, they are all game. Heck, Jaylon Smith may even be back in the mix as he started running. He has a medical re-check soon, if results a good, he may be late 1st consideration. Still would have to trade down or take a shot RD2 if he is there. As for QB, I have been leaning on Prescott or Cardale Jones around RD4.
  13. I would not complain with that draft. Just read Gabriels update on a sleeper and Tyrone Holmes was on it. Fanspeak frustrates me but I do a couple almost every day on it. As much as I do not want a QB round 1, I hope we can trade down if one is available like Wentz. I think we can get as good of a player picking a little further down. Would love to gain a 2nd or 3rd and still draft William Jackson, Robert Nkimdiche, or Leonard Floyd.
  14. Exactly. It is one guys opinion and if he was still working in the NFL, the GM is the one making the calls.
  15. I wouldn't take Cravens at all to be honest. I never even read what was wrote about him or payed attention to the grades. He wouldn't be on the Bears board unless they think he can play SS, which I prefer more natural DBs over tweeners. I posted this mainly to get a former scouts evaluation on players I think the Bears would be interested in.
  16. All Offense draft: 1-Ezekiel Elliott RB 2-Paxton Lynch QB 3-Sterling Sheppard WR 4-Nick Vannett TE 4-Willie Beavers OT 5-Robert Aguayo K 6-Rees Odhiambo G 6-Malcom Mitchell KR/WR 7-Dan Vitale FB
  17. He has been very hard on Cravens lately though. Who knows how long ago it was when he did this and how is he getting the information if he is no longer a scout? With Cravens, who didn't show enough speed on his pro day, is refusing personal workouts on team visits. He is saying that by refusing these, he is dropping.
  18. I wouldn't either, that is one mans perspective and not mine. He worked many years as an NFL scout for the Giants and Bears, so it is interesting to see how he see's some players.
  19. Floyd doesn't have the frame to add bulk, so he is what he is. He should slide down the board due to his issues of handling the run He would be a great RD2 selection. I like his combine results, but I also don't want to draft workout warriors. If they draft him knowingly he will only be in nickel packages, that is fine. Defenses are in that package more so anyways.
  20. That is his grade, not necessarily where he gets drafted. With his athletic ability, football IQ, and play on the field, they rate him high. They also state he will not fit with all teams and will have to be used similiar to Arz's Deonne Buchanon as a hybrid SS/LB.
  21. NOTRE DAME 1 Ronnie Stanley OT 2 Will Fuller WR 3 Jaylon Smith LB 4 Sheldon Day DT 4 Nick Martin C/G 5 KeiVarae Russell CB 6 CJ Prosise RB 6 Elijah Shumate SS 7 Chris Brown WR
  22. Gabe Gabriel is a great twitter follow and has great insight on prospects. If you haven't checked out his top 200 grades, I recommend it. http://www.profootballweekly.com/draft/grades/
  23. Here are the combine results of our current OLBs. Lamar Houston 4.84 = 40 7.81= 3 cone (he weighed 305 as DT) Pernell McPhee 4.80 = 40 7.18 = 3 cone Willie Young 4.83 = 40 7.24 = 3 cone Sam Acho 4.62 = 40 6.69 = 3 cone
  24. I've mentioned him before on here. He is raw but full of potential. I think he can become a good player with the right coaching and Fangio would be the best guy to bring him up. I have never seen him mentioned on a mock draft before, but one of our 6ths would be my guess to get him. Now that I've mentioned him, he will go 4th round lol. Aaron Wallace OLB UCLA 6-3 240 40=4.57 3 cone=7.35 http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/aar...lace?id=2555320 I would prefer to solidify the backfield and dline early in the draft and bring in potential at a position like OLB. If they feel Floyd/Lawson is the next best thing, I will not argue.
  25. They might have, but they never took OLB in later rounds to say it was a need. I think they only take one if they feel that player will be better than we have. Next offseason, I think that is our #1 priority if they do not fill it this year.
