I never knew about turning off the avatars or images. I appreciate that tidbit as I do most of my reading on a 4" phone screen and that will keep scrolling minimal.

Mariani was released and signed with the Titans. Bellamy, Meredith, and Thompson are the main reserves. Marquess Wilson may be an option down the road too. It is time for Royal to shine though.

Bold moves for sure with signing Sitton and putting Whitehair into a possible new role. Grasu may no longer be in the plans, but hopefully he comes back next year stronger and able to compete for a roster spot. Notice Leno is still not mentioned very often. If he takes another strong step, we can focus on finding a better RT option through the draft. If Sitton still plays at a high level, our line should be solid.

So much for that thought. ...Bears just release Aaron Brewer and re-sign Patrick Scales as long snapper. Sure gets confusing right now

Also note that Conner Barth played 5 games with Denver in 2014, so he has some experience with long snapper Aaron Brewer and Coach Fox.

Have you seen Gould lately? The management gave him huge benefits after his last season debacles and he blew it in preseason by missing multiple kicks. I was glad they kept him and even gave him a competition free camp but he couldn't find 1 out of 4 million reasons to be NFL capable

Gould wasn't worth his weight anymore. Tough decision because he had a good fan base but after missing game winners last year and missing kicks in preseason, it was time to move on. Hope he saved his wealth, that 4 million pay cut will suck and now we will be in a kickers n carousel

Also just seen none of our cuts were claimed on the waivers, so expect us to keep the guys we like.

Ouch, didn't realize Fuller would be missing the first 6 weeks. McPhee I kind of figured. We need him 100% I am ok with Wilson starting here, he is an insurance policy at WR. Hope we win some of our gambles for our practice squad. Would like to see Braverman, Braunecker, and Fales make it. Fales only bc he kmows the system.

How lucky can the be? Is Bradford worthy of that price? Tells me Bridgewaters injury could be career ending or it could hinder his mobility. I say the Eagles are lucky because they found a way to get back a first they traded for Wentz. They may be throwing this season away as a rebuild year since they lost LT Johnson also for a big chunck of the year.

Always worth taking a look, but you are correct it doesn't fit the direction the Bears are looking to go. I think they go with Edison/Larsen to start and who knows when Grasu may return. They still haven't put him on the I/R yet.

I read earlier that the Pats thought we may try trading for him since they have a younger guy ready to go and we got a good hands on look at him during the practice sessions. Can he be a bigger hot head than Larsen? He is worth bringing in to take a look at IMO.

Great to see Jones doing well in his new position. Hope he makes the most out of it and earns a roster spot. Braverman has to be be a Wes Welker to make it and it does not see possible this season so far, hope a year on the ps gets him up to that level. With the sounds of it, Royal may make it by default with Marinelli also backing him up. Bellamy and Thompson if healthy may round out the 5th & 6th. If Meredith can still be elgible for practice squad, maybe keep him around too.

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this board and with the season kicking off the board is back with interesting chatter. I think this board has some of the greatest Bear talk minds and it is always a pleasure to visit. I will have to miss the Bears vs Patriot game since I will be traveling back from Sioux Falls SD that evening. I hope to find a radio station broadcasting for that drive back to Illinois, but if not hopefully you guys will be posting often.
