Bears play in the primetime slot again. Can they sneak a W with the amount of injuries they are dealing with?

Did McPhee get into it with Cutler on the sidelines?
ASHKUM BEAR replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
Must be true since Bobby Wade was the one that said he (Urlacher) said it. McPhee still looked bad doing that, and when Jay did that to Jamarcus Webb, he took the critcism. He should have been screaming at Massie and TE Logan for getting him killed, but he usually takes the high road. I think everyone is good moving on from Jay, but most people know it is not feasible until the season is over. Reading about this crap for 8 years or whatever has been sickening and hopefully the Bears get lucky and can draft one. I have my doubts though because this is the Bears and they dont know qbs. -

Urlacher made a comment today saying McPhee should not have said anything. He is not a coach, not even dressed, and if he felt like saying something, do it in the locker room not on national tv. -
One thing going that route is having the right personnel to develop and not give up on them. GMs/HCs have troube drafting those players unless they have established success to take those risks. Today I am all for drafting QB #1 since we can even establish a window of success, we turn it around before the seasons end, my thought may change.

Kizer, Watson, Kelly, Kaaya, and even Rudolph are names to watch. I wouldn't cut Cutler loose either until we had a trade with value. I have no problems going with any of these names right now as long as we get a legit franchise QB and build around him.

Replacing Massie is huge need, but worthy of a high #1 wouldn't be a good pick, so Leno gets picked on. #1 Cam Robinson LT Alabama #2 Mason Rudolph QB OK State #3 Tyrell Crosby RT Oregon #4 Evan Engram/Jordan Leggett TE #4-7 Best D regardless of position. Depending if Jeffery re-signs, WR may be a high need also. Defense takes the back seat again, unfortunately. I like going after Von Miller though. I think another DT could be had also.

I've seen some comparisons from draftniks that compare Kelly to Cutler. Wonder how that would go here.
-
I thought Massie and Long would be a force leading the run game and they still cannot get enough push. Must be the injury Long is dealing with. Then add our WRs of Jeffery, White, and Royal who you would think would be good enough to help pull the S out of the box. Makes you wonder what the cause is. Loggains, Cutler, the line not gelled yet?

It is not good to be a Bears fan once again. Hopefully this agony has a positive out come for our future.

I wish the Bears were able to keep Gase because if he was still here, Fox may be on a hotter seat.

It is real early, but I feel this is a terrible year to have the top draft slot. I haven't got a feel on any of the QBs yet and Watson continues to be the big name...yet I hesitate. Offensive lineman, same feeling. The top pick I think will produce is Jabril Peppers DB Michigan. Bears n Cutler need to rebound quick otherwise it may be hell for many more years. Any thoughts of owning the first pick?
-
I agree, time to move on next year. This team is too far from greatness, just wish there was a worthy college qb to crap the season for.
-
Bright spots, Eddie Royal, Alshon Jeffery, and Jordan Howard. Hoyer is McGown part 2, quick progressions and moves the ball. Cutler is hanging on a thread for my loyalty, always get the benefit but his guaranteed money is up so he needs to step up huge.

Goldman carted off the field. Cursed? I think so
-
Carson Wentz is exposing Jay Cutler big time. Rookie with a game and a half is schooling a vet. If things do not change soon, we might be holding the first picknof the draft.
-
Howard with some nice runs. Like his style, comes out with full steam. Langford/Forte seemed to hesitate looking for a hole. Carey runs with the same style.
-
Still not able to get pressure from the front 7. Big problem since they supposedly addressed that need. Wentz looks like an all pro in his second nfl game.
-
The Browns royally screwed up not taking Wentz. He looks like the next best thing so far. We will see if Fox/Pace make a change if Massie continues to get Cutler killed.
-
Massie looking like a terrible signing, Freeman a great signing. Robbie Gould may be missed more than we know. Any other thoughts?
-
I was wanting to draft him and to see KC give up on him so early is not good. Someone will give him another shot I am sure.
-
Hope he goes right back to him. He needs to step up and live up to his status.
-
With two young Centers on the roster, this cannot hurt. As for starting Whitehair week one, he had to get a start sometime and now is as good as any.
-
Couldn't have said it better. My take on it. Slauson was not a fit on the style they wanted to run and they had Grasu and Whitehair in the wings until injuries hit. With Gould, they gave him the benefit in camp to keep his spot after a few costly misses last season. He was showing signs that the misses would be carried on this season. Do you live with that or not? They are not going to carry two kickers on the roster, so they are trying Barth. If he doesn't work expect a short leash on him too. Who knows, Gould may be back if Barth fails. Last, Brewer supposedly was not improving on his night life from what I read on a few tweets and they opted to go back to Scales. Hard to say if it had to do with the K's preference.
-
Good for him. He came out respectable from the beginning and the Bears followed suit.

Leonard Floyd is inconsistent and out of shape, according to Fangio

Agree. These two need to experience real NFL games to figure the game out. If they stop making progress I'll start worrying. I carry my hope longer than most I'd say as I think back to Shea McClellin. I do like the pressure the coaches put on them though, put it out there and see if they respond.
