Center is as key, look no further than kc or phi. The Bears have had issues with their centers hurting their snap hand. Whitehair, Patrick, and Kramer all injured that hand. What happened to Feeney? I thought he would have been a piece by now. I have to say Jenkins needs to be resigned but many would argue his health. He is nearly the best for having to play anywhere asked. Last, B Jones has the rest of the season to show Poles he doesn't need to draft LT, I still would with a top 5 pick. We seen what Fields can do with a great line (Was).

I have a couple of under the radar Centers that I think can be good players. I think the Bears still have to move down once to recoup a 2nd. Too many high end needs with safety and maybe another CB, unless Smith develops more. Graham Barton Duke 6-5, 315 High football IQ Bryce Foster Texas AM. 6-5 330 More power and good IQ.

I like him but hope he doesn't start off like Kyle Pitts.

49ers are working the Bears in last minutes hopes for landing Jaylon. I would love to see JJ go to a contender and showcase himself.

Sweat was the 26th pick in the 2019 draft I hate losing a high 2nd. That tells me Poles will be moving down with one of the 1sts.
-
I agree and will add that if we don't end up with the number 1 or 2 pick in the draft, the teams that are slotted there will most likely want a QB.
-
Couple of 4 and 1's and not taking the 3 have hurt the record too.

Toe issue added today to the shoulder for Wright. My guess is he is going to be a GTD

I think Bagent did good with what he had. He was able to move the chains but he didn't light it up either. The Bears line played well and the running game was strong. If Fields played that game and put up 250 and a TD, we would hear how the Raiders had a back up QB and our oline played great. I know Bear fans are crushed and want to move on. I am still holding out that he can be our guy though. He is the easiest path to being a great team for many years if he can just overcome the bad that etches our memory. However the Bears and Fields go, it is out of our hands and up to fate.

Health and nearly 40% new starters that need to gel makes for a slow start. Also a offensive scheme that is not easy and a defense missing a true 3T that it requires hamper the team from firing full go. If the Bears tear it down because it failed, then reset the time tables to rebuild and relearn and it could be another two years to be playing at elite levels.

Some talk (Rapport) that New England could make a HC change after the season. If so, any thoughts on bringing Belichick in as the next HC? It is unlikely, but he might be able to produce a winning culture but would want some control over personal.

I figure at least two more weeks. I don't think anyone thinks Fields will magically improve, but he has a chance to watch and think about how the offense worked without him. That is why having competition at all positions is a must. He never earned the job, but was handed it by default. Let him feel the pressure of competition and that will either make you stronger or destroy you.

That is great news and I hope the time off helps him reset his mind. He has the talent but his mind holds him back. He needs the game to slow down.

I thought about the 5th year option before to give the bears time to build trade value into the 2024 season. The 4th year option will cost around 41 million for just 2025. Not seeing value their to gain a 1st or 2nd round pick
-
If this was MLB, he'd be signed. Crazy how accurate, quick, and strong he is already
-
He is too slow processing the field. Notice he only looks at his first option.

Hire Lincoln Riley and draft Caleb Williams. Make it a combo transition
-
The clip where the Bears were blocking each other ?♂️ Nothing new from last year. The good thing, let them stay and help secure a top pick.
-
Bears are in Double Tanking. New coaching, new QB, and more ammo to transition. Put Fields on the trade block now and let the bidding war begin. Ryan Pace can bring his guy Fields home to Atlanta and pair him with Bijan to make a fierce running team.
-
I kinda felt this was coming. It happened with Grossman and Trubisky. Now we are looking at drafting a QB and possible go Fields, rookie, and Bagent to start the season. We have control of fields 4th year. If the rookie looks good in TC and takes the reins, you can start shopping Fields.
-
How many of those throws looked like they were nearly picked off. You see Bagent understands how quick he needs to be getting the ball out and a week of practice will help him get more accurate on his placement. He also cannot stare down he intentions like he did, so he has to work on those things. Fields might be better by watching this and maybe not.

How about Josh Allen against the NYG against backup Tyrod Taylor. 169 yds 2 TDs and 1 INT. They won at least but what an ugly game.
