  1. In regards to Iwuh, he maybe a special teams guy but why not see what he can possible contribute on D just in case someone goes down.
  2. Yeah I agree. Cutler can not continue to take shots. The Defense is pathetic so far at least we have the talent on Defense and hopefully they will show up.

    Oline

I have to say that despite what the stats say for yesterday that I am starting to see good things from this starting unit. I was glad that they decided to keep Lance Louis in there in to the 3rd. We saw some very good things from this unit like the beautiful blocks by Louis and Kruetz and Greg Olsen sealing his block as well to spring Forte for his 89 yd run. We also saw the bad. i.e. Chris Williams. Wimbley ate him up for dinner last night.
  4. Can we please sign him long term. I know his contract is up after this year. At least its been said that he will be back for the 3rd preseason game against the Cardinals. Although seeing Clark taking the duties for the day was very much hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Just proves to people that with a Long Snapper that you never know how important it is until your backup is in there lol.
  5. Urlacher said that he was fine and from the look of it last night it didn't seem serious or anything as he was walking around pretty good. I am guessing that he was pulled more as a precautionary reason and had this been a regular season game he would have been back out there. I also agree that we should keep him out the rest of the preseason as we need him on the field for the season. I also would like to see more of Iwuh back there. We have heard nothing but great things during camp so of course he needs to bring it to the field with pads on and going against someone.
  6. With this offense does it really matter who is labeled the #1 or the #2. Martz is very good about moving players around to get a better matchup. To me as long as the top 3 are Hester, Knox and DA then it doesn't really matter.
  7. But like its been stated before Davis moving ahead of Bennett on the depth chart is nothing. Bennett hasn't been on the field. Hell at this point I would like to see Zeke Markshausen given a chance. I know the kid as he went to high school with my wife and hes got good hands but then again anyone has better hands than Davis. Davis has done this a couple of times before in the past where he looks good in preseason and then come regular season he can't do anything.
  8. Yes I was referring to Kellen, but I have never been a fan of Rashied but he did play well and I have been hearing an awful lot about how Martz likes him.
  9. Your right and you actually saw him at least once wrap up and pile driver the carrier into the ground and still never let go of the guy until he was sure that he was on ground, unlike Briggs down there at the goal line who leaves his feet to early and just bounces off the ball carrier and that was on 3rd down I believe. Ball carrier then springs for the 1st.
  10. Another thing that I noticed to is that Rivers and the 1st string used alot of 3 step drops to ensure we couldn't get to him so I can't go and blame the Dline for not getting any pressure.
  11. In this next game I would like to see some more TE's that have been doing so great during camp. Davis did well yesterday and using size so well. I am hoping we are able to keep 4 TE's but I know that will be tough.
  12. For me it doesn't matter who the #1 and #2 guys are because we are going to see so much 3 WR packages and I am sure that Martz will swithc things up so much to get the right personel. Just as long as Knox, DA and Hester are the top 3 I am fine.
  13. There were times last night when they were talking about Wright and although he didn't make a few tackles he was in the area and on others how he was taking the correct route to ensure that he was at least there. I am completely impressed about Wright.
  14. DA and Knox are a beast and this WR crop as a whole is tons better than most want to give them credit for, but back in there minds they are scared to see what could happen with this offense. I loved what I saw from Cutler but that Oline has got to get tons better. I am glad they decided to let them play almost the entire first half. Hanie started really shaky and then settled down but that INT never should have been thrown and that fumble that he had he should have just protected the ball instead of trying throw it. I can't blame that on Martz's offense, he has got to know better and LeFevour sucks. I hated the drafting of him
  15. I agree. Webb is huge and I think he could develop but man not yet, he has got to at least start playing better in order to make this team. I love Wolfe because he has heart and is willing to do whatever it takes even in the blitz pickup when he is completely outmatched against those LB's that are coming in. I hated the drafting of LeFevour and yesterday just proved me right. Now the Oline was crap last night for him and he didn't have much time to throw but when he did have time to throw he was floating passes everywhere. He needs to start using the arm. I'm not gonna single out just Iglesias but all those receivers at the end that got a chance were crap. I saw way to many penalties and way way to many dropped passes. If any of them expect to make this time they at least get Oakland next week to step there game up.
  16. I agree with you in regards to the blitz pickup. It was horrible. Especially the one when Forte essentially whiffed. He needs to at least step in the way. Later in the game Garrett Wolfe at least attempted to get in the way but he is so small that he just gets pushed way like a little fly. For the most part I thought the starting Oline was at least mediocre in pass protection as there was a few times when Cutler and Hanie had time to throw and we saw what happens when they have time. Run blocking is wow help us.
  17. I don't know if it disses Cutler. How many INT's did he throw last year? Same thing with Peterson, he may be a great RB but just imagine how much better he would be if knew how to hang on to the damn? Let be glad that he doesn't know how 2.
  18. I completely agree. At least he is giving everyone a chance to start. Pix is right. My prime example is Asiata. He was an UDFA(don't remember the year, but don't care either) has yet to actually make our team and here we are hearing word that not only does he stand a great chance to make the team, he actually has a chance to Start. That to me speaks volumes for Tice. Of course, mine and everyone elses opinions may completely change once we see the team out on the field in game situations.

    Help

With my new career as an over the road truck driver I am wondering if someone wouldn't mind taping the games for me on DVD, this way I can break down the games during my down time in the truck. I am willing to pay. This new career has been great unfortunately it takes a bite out of things that I used to enjoy doing. Please email me at bowlingwestgary1980@yahoo.com
  20. Well the depth chart is out and has Garza and Left and Louis at R. Iam not sure what to think about this. I am so hoping that I will be in town for the game on Saturday.
  21. Thanks for the invite, but as of right now I am still debating it. With my new career its tough. Maybe I can attempt to teach my wife. lol
  22. Already ordered? Heck I had it purchased and waiting for him.
  23. Yeah no 3rd child yet. It will be awhile. I will be starting my new career as an Over the Road Truck Driver starting on June 1st for Roehl Transport and I will be gone for approximately 2-3 weeks at a time and then home for a couple of days.
