  1. Yes Martz does like a blocking tight end. Did you forget that we just signed Manu, isn't that exactly what he is. We don't need 3 blocking Tight Ends. We only need 1 and then we can use Olsen in a lot of different situations and use him for those mismatches and using alot of 2 TE sets.
  2. Olsen isn't going any where. I have been saying for a while that if a Tight End leaves it will be Desmond Clark, unfortunately. My reason behind this is because of his age and we just signed a TE that is very comparable to Clark that they are good blocking tight ends. Just because Olsen doesn't fit the protypical Martz offense doesn't mean that Martz refuses to use him. I would argue that Martz has never had a good TE. Olsen is a good tight end. Forget about saying "what about Vernon Davis." Davis was a complete bum before he got there and never produced until half way through this year.
  3. The NFL will have to find away to grandfather these contracts in. I don't think it would be right to penalize a team for taking advantage of the uncapped year. Why should we assume that there will be a cap. Just because everyone says that there will be. Just a year ago no one ever thought the NFL would ever see a year with an uncapped year.
  4. No thank you, he is mediocre at best.
  5. Lets keep in mind that we did keep 4 TE's last year when we broke camp and continued to do so until we made the trade for Gaines Adams. I don't think its completely out of the question about carrying 4.
  6. Hub Arkush was on the score yesterday and I found his comments to be idiotic. He felt that the Bears would have been better making that same deal for Boldin INSTEAD of costing our future with the deals that we made. The last time I checked Cutler throw for over 3600 yards last year with the same WR's we have now and what cost us on offense wasn't so much the WR's. According to Jaws 95% of the INT's were Cutlers fault and no one else's. Hub also went on to say that if we were LUCKY we MIGHT get a low 4th rounder for Olsen. LMAO. Seems like he still hates us.
  7. I would like for us to look at resigning Pisa. See what he might cost. If a good price we would be loaded at LB and the Dline will be much improved especially if Peppers and Harris can push each other. I think the move signing Peppers does wonders for a person like Harris. Offenses will be so worried about double teaming Peppers and that will leave single coverage for Harris and Brown.
  8. I am sure he means Jason LaCanfora(sp?) from the NFL network.
  9. I like Sharper but I would much rather have Atogwe as he is younger.
  10. Micheal Lombardi just posted on twitter "Peppers on his way to Chicago, not to visit the campus, but to sign deal. Bears won this one.
  11. So far we are 3 highly touted guys including the biggest FA name out there in Peppers coming to town. If we sign all 3 today wouldn't that feel just like hitting the Lottery considering that is also played on Fridays lol
  12. What was Atogwe tendered for? I personally wouldn't mind Clark from Pittsburgh.
  13. No kidding, and the thing is that I am not totally shocked bout this either. I believe the reason that we are opening up big is because JA and company don't feel like being fired.
  14. So Glad everything is ok for you.

I agree. I would much rather have Peppers or Kampman, but if we can't get that we should pursue Robinson. He would significantly upgrade the DB's.

I completely agree. I would love to see Antrelle Rolle. He would immediately shore up the secondary.

Walterfootball.com has him listed at 6'1 205 lbs and projected to run in the mid 4.4's

I would like to have Major Wright.
  20. I have a feeling that if you could trade Hester for a lunch in the future you would do it in a heart beat.
  21. my god that is an awful lot of talking. When I start talking that much my wife would just smack me and tell me to shut up lol. Keep up the good work though.
  22. God this pains me but Great post NFO, I agree that at least the WR's have shown something on the field in game situations where as the other guys haven't even seen the field yet. Now of course I would like to see some of those young guys be given a chance to see the field, like Gilbert, like Iglesias, etc.
  23. Winning regular season games only gets you so far ask Marty Schottenheimer(sp?)
  24. Please show me 1 person on here that is saying that he is a #1. I can't recall a single person. If I am not mistaken I am probably one of his biggest supporters on here and I have argued Hester with you for far to long. As I have said in the past to you that I don't think he is "useless" I believe is the word that you have used in the past week when referring to Hester. I have said in those arguments that he isn't useless as he is showing very good progress considering that he was just an athlete coming out of college, but that he is not a #1 by any stretch of the imagination. Even with his contract he isn't getting paid a #1. He can get paid as a #1 if and only if he puts up the #'s and becomes our #1.
  25. Your right about that especially this past season. I think alot of our problems on Defense this year was injuries. That D was decimated by injuries. Who knows what the D would have looked like if either Urlacher or Pisa were actually able to play.
