Kyle brings himself back into the comp or rex opens the door???
bowlingtwig replied to bear trap's topic in Bearstalk
You are right during his 2nd stint with the offense last year he did play better and even cut down on the number of TO's. To bad he couldn't do that the entire year. However, I am not about to go out and say he is the best on the team either. They both scare me. -

I still do recall the one game where we opened up the playbook for him for the Cincy game. Didn't he throw 5 INT's. -
Favre would be ideal but I am just being realistic. I don't believe he would sign with us.

I agree that the Oline is just plain scary. I don't like reading in the paper in the injured section and seeing all those people missing time from the Oline play in particular especially Chris Williams. We have so much hope in him and he got hurt the 2nd day of camp doesn't help.
-
Of course I completely agree. What scares me though is thinking back to last year and how well Rex did during preseason and then the regular season came and it speaks for its self. I am scared with the position overall. I would love to Rex finally develop into the guy but he just scares me soooooooo much. Time will tell though.

I honestly don't care who's fault it is. I just want to see us work it out. This has been going on long enough know and you would have to think by now the coaches would be able to nip it in the bud, so to say.
-
I like that. So far from what I have read I believe Kyle is doing a better job although neither one of them is standing out.
-
[Hey Connor. We are good thanks for asking. It has been tough to log in as I still have my 2 jobs and this is the first time I have had a real chance to sit down and look over everything. It is about to get crazy again here in the next couple of weeks as I have 5 fantasy drafts all between the 16th and the 24th. I will be a little busy. lol.

I completely agree. Accuracy is my biggest thing. I have read alot how Orton is doing a great job hitting receivers in stride and throwing the ball between defenders while hitting WR. But my biggest thing, is the play of the Oline. They need to be able to open up running lanes. Our game plan has always started with our running game so they need to open lanes for Forte. If they can do that it will open the passing game up where Grossman and Orton can then succeed. I don't really have a favorite out of the 2 QB's. I just want to see what they can do. I wouldn't mind seeing TB finally release Chris Sims and us bringing him in to see what he can do. I am not saying that he should start but I am sure he would do better than our current #3, whatever his name is. I heard of his name but it excapes me right now and I don't care that much to look it up.

How can they put him on the non football injury list if he isn't injured.
-
The latest that I have heard regarding this story is that Favre asked once again to be released and they said no. So, he then asked for permission to speak with Minnesota and Chicago and they once again denied it. Favre says that he is "receptive" to a trade to Tampa Bay. Take it for what its worth. I believe this report came from Wendi Nix and Chris Mortenson of ESPN.

When I read the fact that he left practice today saying " this just isn't going to happen" I just started to laugh. This is getting better and better each passing day. Somebody said that you couldn't write a better script. There right. This is just to good. Favre is going to be traded somewhere, and then watch the Packers go into "hibernation" for a while. Aaron Rodgers is not a franchise QB. God I can't wait for Urlacher and the rest of that hungry D to devour Rodgers and welcome him to the NFL. lol.
-
His next player that he will kiss has already begun. Tony "friggin" Romo. I get that that he is a good player and all but I personally think he is overrated.
-
You know you can count me in of course.
-
Ok, I know it seems like I have fallen off the face of the earth but I promise you I haven't. Oh and you defintely count me in for several leagues. I don't care how many I play.
-
Henne, I believe can be a very good QB in the right system and if he can stay healthy. I don't want him because of his health problems that he has had and unless he has a RB that can run for 150+ a game he ain't worth it.
-
I would also have to bet that part of the incentives has something to do with turnovers. lol Or at least it better be, considering that is his downfall.
-
Thank you. I know that you meant nothing by it but I just don't want to see it getting out of hand. I did love the post that there aren't many good QB's in the league.
-
I would love to have Otah. I am also thinking that we will take Otah, unless he is taken before we pick. Ray Rice and Colt Brennan. Yeah I would love that also as I believe Colt will have a good NFL career. Sorry I don't know anything about the WR that you mentioned. I am not going to make a mock because I never could. But Miami won't be picking #1 because they have SOOOOO many holes to fill. I see them trading down and picking up multiple draft picks to let the TUNA work his magic. Also Atlanta will take a QB with there first pick.

Does it really matter the color of the persons skin. I thought what matters is the persons skill level. Lets please not make this a race issue before someone gets offended. I know that no one is meaning to this into a racial issue but that is the path I see this going. Please debate the people and there skill sets and keep race out of it. Thank you.

Remember that Rex's deal is just a 1 yr deal so we won't be able to trade him. Then again what could be possibly get for Rex. Not much I am assuming.
-
I think it will be tough to trade him considering his contract isn't exactly a cheap one. He is making starting money. I do see him being cut, just not sure. Any idea how much his roster bonus is.
-
I just heard about the signing of Rex about 30 minutes ago on ESPNEWS. They are reporting the deal was a 1 yr deal worth 3 million with an additional 2 million in incentives(not sure of the incentives) Total deal can be 5 million. I am personally thinking this is a precursor to resigning Bernard Berrian. I read in yesterdays Chicago Tribune that there was 2 things that BB was wanting in order to get a deal done. He wanted at least fair market value for him(whatever that may be) and also he wanted Rex to be resigned. At least I am hoping that this leads to us resigning BB. I do not even want to think of us going through a year with Mark Bradley as our #1 considering he had a total of 6 catches last year. That is just downright scary. P.S. Sorry I have been gone so much lately. Work sucks. lol

I agree with you guys that miss the way the other board was set up. I took me a year to finally figure almost everything out and then as I start really getting the hang of it we are forced to change. I am glad though that we still have a place to talk Bears though and could care less about how things are set up as long as we still have a place like this.

Well if it isn't set up to stop the run maybe he should find a way to stop the run otherwise we are going to be killed, agianst teams like SD.
