I have also seen this and I agree with it when looking at it from there perspective. The Oline is bad, no proven WR, bad QB play and also our Defense was really banged up last year. Now I also agree that if we can just get decent QB play and our D stays healthy we have a legit chance at the playoffs if not at winning the D. I do not expect Green Bay to have a good year as there is friction inside camp stemming from the Favre saga. Everyone wants to say how good Minny will be but that is all assuming that the secondary can play good because the past couple of years they have sucked. I know they are always top notch at stopping the run though which could hurt us. They also have a question mark at QB with Tavaris Jackson who has done nothing at all in his career and is really young.

Big words coming from a guy who has proven to be just a contract year player. If I am not mistaken he has had 2 good years both of which came in the final year of his contract. Screw him.

I don't see us trading for him considering that it has been rumored that the Bucs are going to cut him anyways considering the Chucky don't like him and also keep in mind that the Bucs do have 5 QB's on there roster currently. They will probably only carry 3 just like most teams. But then again knowing how much Chucky likes to have lots of QB's I would not be surprised if he broke with 4.

Gee go figure. Why does this not suprise me at all. Maybe he should pay attention more to making sure he stays out of trouble.

I am looking at what he showed. Forget his stats. He stepped up into the pocket when he needed to. He wasn't afraid to use his guns like that TD throw was a thing of beauty in between 2 defenders in the PERFECT spot, an inch to the right or left and the ball is at least batted down. He was not afraid to scramble, and on that scramble he got passed the one defender and then looked for the 1st down and then some. Would rather see him get out of bounce instead of lowering his shoulder to take on a tackler though. His passes were crisp. He put trust in his WR. With that pass to Monk, he threw the ball before Monk even broke and he hit him in perfect stride. These are things that I was looking at and it doesn't matter what D he was playing against. Hell, give him a shot with the 1st team. He can't do any worse than the QB's did last year can he. Please don't read that statement and think that I am saying he should start cuz I am not.

After watching him last night he better be either red shirted or cut. He was pathetic and even the announcers were saying that he wasn't looking very good in camp either.

Hey Connor I agree except about the D. The D looked like crap on the first series but after that they had 3 straight 3 and outs before they got pulled.

Garrett Wolfe ran a 4.39 forty at his pro day. Kevin Jones was clocked at 4.26 in the 40 at FSU's summer camp(doesn't provide a date or even a year) can't imagine he is that fast any more with several injuries. I can't find AP's 40 time. Matt Forte ran a 4.46 forty. Please remember these stats are from either there pro day or combine stats so for KJ it is from a little while ago.

Lets also keep in mind that hardly any of our RB's blocking was good last year. I like APR but he sucked rear end last year. AP is supposed to be a darn good blocking RB and he whiffed on so many people last year, which didn't help our QB's when they can't trust there OLine or there RB's to block.

I completely disagree. Wolfe looked great yesterday. And don't give the crap about it being again 2nd and 3rd stringers. If we use him to his strengths, unlike last year, he can be very productive.

I agree somewhat. I didn't see much of Lloyd, Hester or Booker, but honestly I think I saw to much of Bennet. He looked completely lost out there. I hope its just that he got butterflies. That one pass towards the end of the game from Hanie though he has got to catch and something about Marcus Monk. I couldn't believe how perfect those passes were and for the WR's to drop such easy passes.

However watching the game today our 1st string Oline did look very impressive. They at least kept Orton and Grossman clean. Your even heard during the Orton sideline interview he said that he never even felt pressure at all. This has to be very encourging at least.

This does really suck as we were all hoping to see what he could do to help out that line. Bentley is still sitting at home. Something is telling me though that he is still hurt otherwise another team would have picked him up by now you would think.

Your right. He looked very impressive out there. Even scrambling when he needed to. Unfortunatley for him the WR's dropped several key passes that would have won us the game. I am not mad at all though considering that Hanie was VERY impressive.

Yes we have actually. Did you forget about Hunter Hillenmeyer was cut by Green Bay because he couldn't make the team. I still think he is one of the most underrated guys on D.

I would say bring him in to at least look at him. I am not sure what he could possibly give us considering his health problems make Rex look good.

I know what you guys mean. I am totally psyched and this is just the 1st preseason game. Keep in mind from what I have heard Rex will also get a chance with the #1 team out there as well. Thank god because the 2nd team Oline scares me. I feel bad from Caleb Haney, he could get killed out there behind that line.

From what I have heard they are planning on keeping the starters in there to keep this a true competition. Obviously it wouldn't be fair to see Grossman play behind that line. That line just scares the living crap out of me.

No it was not. He played somewhat decent in his first 3 or 4 games and then they decided to open up the playbook in that Cincy game when he threw the 5 picks.

I completely agree. We know exactly what we will get from Booker. He is a very dependable guy. He won't get us those great games but you can at least count on 3-5 catches per game. As much as I love Hass and would love to see him get a chance I believe he is cut unless Bradley gets hurt AGAIN.

I give alot of praise to Orton. He didn't screw things up entirely. I am not an orton backer or a grossman backer at this point. I give Orton credit because he was just a rookie. Lets keep in mind that he was supposed to be the 3rd QB and not even get a chance to sniff the turf unless he decided to lay on it during practice. Rex got hurt and then I believe Chad "surfer boy" Hutchinson either got hurt or sucked that bad. I try to forget those couple of years as we went through to many QB's starting for us who after they left us were out of football or never so the field again.
