Yes i did say he was horrible won't hide from that. But never did i say he was #1 problem. Plenty of blame to go around
-
I've never said he was the #1 reason. He never really went after that go to WR in the draft. I also blame coaching staff for not being able to get more out of the players. Angelo never provided us with the necessary depth to overcome injuries. Every team faces injuries and u gotta be able to overcome them
-
Because half the league is doing does it make it any more legal. Its a huge risk. And if its so easy to not getting caught then why do ppl still get busted. Have u noticed more ppl lately are getting busted. Seems like 1 player a week is getting caught plus they will have tougher tests before to long. Just a matter of time. Sorry i don't mess with drugs. Never have. Been around it and saw how stupid ppl were around it for a lot longer than just a couple hrs. Maybe your an expert but personally i refuse to even associate with ppl doing it. In my line of work just 1 slip up in judgement could cost ppl there lives
-
I guess i don't remember dallas going after him cuz they had cap problems last yr with the imposed penalty. I just remember Pit was heavily after him.
-
I know he was a TE in his playing days then spent 8 seasons as an assistant coach with cowboys but don't recall if he was ever an offensive or defensive minded as a coach
-
No surprise there. Im sure that's what most of us though. Serious question for ppl older than. Who was the last offensive minded coach that we hired. I seriously cant remember
-
They know its against rules yet don't care. They also know just 1 failed test is a 4 game suspension and oh yeah NFL has the ability to random test when they want and whoever they want. Some players get tested 10 times a yr and many get tested day after game. Marijuana doesn't disappear from your system in a matter of hrs. Sorry but the way i was raised was if its illegal then don't be stupid and do it anyway. Otherwise i don't want to here u cry when u face the consequences. The consequences out weigh the fantasy world of a couple hours. U choose couple hrs of fun or millions of $$. For me thats easy

He won't be able to use FA as the team is really tight against the cap with very little wiggle room. His history in drafts is horrible. Very few guys actually work out. Plus if u know the jets the problem isn't so much defense. There problem is there O makes our O look mighty tough. Horrible qb play and there stuck with paying sanchez even if they release him. I hope they do hire him just so all if us on here thats been banging on him forever can laugh even harder
-
If he thought Chicago media was rough just wait til NY gets ahold of especially with a team that cares more about making tge back page than actually u know winning games
-
I found it interesting that schefter said he gas spoken to 2 potential candidates of ours and they were blown away at how prepared and stuff that emery was
-
By releasing him we would only have to pay the remaining part of his signing bonus. If we trade him the new team would be on hook for his remaining salary + bonuses. We wouldn't even take a cap hit at all. I haven't mentioned trading him as only 1 team was serious about him last yr and that was Pittsburgh and considering there cap situation u can forget that option and his play didn't exactly make him more attractive in the past yr. I would be all giddy if we could trade even if it was just for a conditional pick

Couldn't agree more. Isn't Skip the 1 who once said Tim Tebow was a top 10 QB in the league and now he may have to go to the CFL lol
-
The difference is that more than likely we will be hiring a HC with an offensive background. Mike martz hated TE for receiving then lovie promoted Tice who had never called offensive plays before. The reason i want spaeth gone is $$. Has a cap hit this yr of $2,433,000 and by cutting him prior to camp the only thing we have to eat is $333,000. If we really need a blocking TE im positive we can find 1 cheaper without losing mich in talen. With Davis its 2 fold. His play is real bad and Jay has no confidence in him and 2 is the $$. Has a cap hit this yr of $3.85M. By cutting him we can save a little bit better than another $2M. That's over $4M saves without actually losing much with on field performance that can easily be replace. Somebody mentioned Jared Cook as a possibility and i can live with that and he wont cost much at all. His current value is low and I'm sure he would be happy to get out of TN and actually have a real QB throwing him the ball
-
What he means is that Melton was our only pro bowler not to be named all pro as well
-
I would be interested to see what Rodriguez could do. Dude was screwed over last yr
-
Taking a job with the circus that is the jets lol. What has he actually done that could be a great thing. A gm must be able to draft. He can't do that to save his rear
-
What blocking. I thought he was trying out to be a matador lol
-
While i agree with the over throw lets be honest. Davis was horrible this yr. Dropped passes fumbles. I distinctly remember several plays last couple yrs where he drops a pass with no one around and could have danced his way into the end zone lol
-
Angelo is a horrible GM. Dude misses more often than not in the draft. A GM must be able to draft. U really want to look at that track record lol
-
Not always but why get in a bidding war. Sometimes its just not worth it
-
Doesn't mean they will come here. That's my point. If we can't get them in FA we must get them in draft
-
The GM needs to be able to see long term. But he waited to address it when it was to late. By 07 we had 4 guys either 30 or older. Gotta be able to see that. 1 thing a professional athlete can't defeat is father time
-
Then key is making sure we do enough in FA. I'm not taking him over an OL. My 1st priority is OL
